organized four thousand photos
The UI was just what I wanted, quickly swipe through photos and mark some to be deleted. UI could be polished a bit more, sometimes viewing an image and going back and forth created a bit of an issue. Also doesn't support panoramics or videos. Still got me through all the photos on my phone.

Incredibly useful, great value, but...
I had the original Cleen app and loved it. I would have kept the original but it was replaced by this one. Overall, the app appears to be almost identical to its predecessor. However, the photo resolution appears pretty crummy in this version. The images often have that grainy/blurry "low-res" appearance. Perhaps they are being compressed at a higher rate to improve the speed of the app but I find that it detracts from the quality and makes it more difficult to sort through photos. For example, how can I delete duplicates that are slightly blurry if they all "look" blurry? This is the only app where this problem occurs.
Perhaps include a setting for users to select high resolution (less compression). That alone would bring this review up to 5 stars :)

UPDATE: Weird. I downloaded the app on a new phone, about a year after getting the phone, and this has changed to the Chinese version. No harm, no foul — just downloaded Cleen Classic instead — but you gotta wonder, “why the change?”

Sorta fun but still time consuming
The app is easy to use and sorta fun. I like how you don't have to import your photos into the app first but it just works with the photos on your phone already. When swiping, you have 4 options (up down left and right). But you can also pull the photos towards the corners. I think it should be a little more restricted to the 4 directions so that you don't swipe down and to the right when you mean to only swipe right. Also, you can't tell if it's a photo or a video. Videos are just shown as their first frame. I feel like you should be able to watch the videos in the app.

The only thing this app needs is a "shuffle photos" button. I don't want to start swiping to clean always from the latest photosin my camera roll.

Redundant App
Is your software that bad that you can’t just make an update to merge the english app the the chinese app into one? I don’t think i’ve ever seen a more ridiculously redundant app system.

Invaluable! Where have you been my whole life?
With Cleen, I am now incredibly quickly deleting photos I don't need and finding the ones I want to use in projects, Facebook, Twitter etc. We all take a ton of photos — even more with the addition of the burst mode — to get the right shot and then have 15 photos of the same moment clogging up the iPhone's memory, never to be looked at again. The native photos app makes it hard to sort through and delete photos: a) Using select in the overview is treacherous because the thumbnails are so small — even on the 6 Plus; b) Scrolling through individual photos is cumbersome: deletion requires two taps. Not so with the Cleen app! Simply swipe down to delete, up to favorite and to either side to save for later. I have found that going through the photos so quickly enables me to remember the shots I want to keep. If you want to zoom in on in individual photo, simply tap and then use gestures like you would in the native photos app. With the photos in the "later" category you can easily make multiple passes. There are no ads or in-app purchases. The only ways I can think of to improve the Cleen app are: a) To be able to go through the favorites again while in the app; and b) To have the same swipe method to add favorited photos to albums.

UPDATE: Been waiting for an app like this!!
Cleer is amazing! I've been searching for a convenient way to clean out my 5000+ photos! I couldn't stand bulk deleting with the native photo app because I couldn't see a preview of my pictures and I have too many to go through them individually. But cleer makes it quick and convenient to favorite, skip but save, or delete photos in quick succession. In 10 minutes, I've gone through ~500 pictures, favorited 27, skipped 75, and deleted the rest! The numbers don't lie!
Update: if you see "recently added" instead of the full "camera roll," delete and reinstall the app. This only works if you updated to ios8.1.x that gave access to camera roll again.
