p13cch,
GREAT GAME
I have just finished this game after playing Bear’s restaurant , Bluebird of Happiness, and Town of Tides. All of these games are the BEST game son the App Store. There is so much I love about these games, but if I had to pick, I think that the best part of these games are Diago’s vision of God and his role in life. As a Catholic, I think it is really cool that the message of this game is that all sins, no matter how grave they can be, can be forgiven with God (God being the Clock of Atonement) I also like how there is an alternative to paying for the ending, which was similar to Bear’s restaurant (I spent 2 days feeding that stupid cat!) Anyways I think that all of Daigo’s games are worth trying out, because they all have a great, unforgettable story.
HaveAJoyousDay,
I’m a bit confused
(((Spoilers for Bear’s Restaurant)))
In Bear’s Restaurant, the file on the guy in this game (Kazuya) said that he had no remorse for what he had done, and because of that, he was sent to the deepest part of hell: Nihility. This game, however, paints a very different picture of this man. Not only does he have regrets for what he has done, but going back in time resulted in him choosing to murder himself before killing that woman. On top of that, he had some sort of mental abnormality that resulted in his skewed perception of relationships/empathy. I’m confused as to why he was sent to nihility (where his soul would be destroyed and unable to re-enter the reincarnation cycle) while the nurse who murdered far more (albeit for questionable/debatable reasoning) was sent back into the reincarnation cycle.

And on top of that, in Bear’s Restaurant, he WAS murdered by the man outside (unlike in the good ending in this game), and Kazuya didn’t understand why he was killed. In CoA, he DOES understand why he was killed and hopes that being murdered will help him atone for his sins. He talks about making up for what he’s done throughout the entire game and holds onto that through his entire prison sentence, but he’s like a completely different person in Bear’s Restaurant.
I don’t understand why this is. Which game is true to this Kazuya’s timeline and character?
Goso646446,
Thank you Devs
Another master piece. I could go on about how I love this game, but I wouldn't want to spoil the experience for anyone. All I would like to say is, although very minimalist in design (I know sprites take time to make I appreciate that), the game delivers very well. Unlike Bear’s restaurant there is a way to access the 2nd episode by watching ads. I suggested this before and appreciate to see it put within this game (Even though I know I wasn’t the reason it was added).
Billy Vidrine,
A very dark little surprise
Came across this designer’s games in the App Store and decided to give them a shot based on the 16 bit aesthetic and great reviews. I’m going with the “free,” ad-driven versions because the games (at least this one) are really quick playthroughs and the short advertisements that are infrequently sprinkled throughout the game aren’t too intrusive. There’s not a whole lot to the gameplay here, really just some puzzle solving and “choose your own adventure” type stuff. But I found the whole thing rather compelling in its depiction of redemption and the lack thereof. Not a classic or anything but a nice little introduction to this gaming world. I’m looking forward to Bear’s Restaurant next.
sni do j cut,
Amazing light ((spoilers))
I love the game it’s five out of five stars I don’t think it’s long enough though like the concept was very good. It was fun. The levels were challenging, but not challenging The way the game played was perfect but I feel like there should be different levels. We can do more stuff as different people who also found the clock. And the puzzle get more difficult. (:
Sxnkxnrxck,
Good game
This game was really more about seeing all opportunities through rather than an actual puzzle-solving mystery. Despite this, it’s a pretty good game. Like Bluebird of Happiness, the hints (cat mascot) are still the same: watch an ad, get a hint. I don’t know about pop up ads as I didn’t seem to encounter anything but turn on Airplane Mode so it won’t slow down the game. otherwise, the game was rather enjoyable.
Mickey2212323,
Absolutely phenomenal!!
I’ve always been a fan of games like this. The puzzles, the story.. everything about it was amazing. As someone who doesn’t have money to spend on games, I really appreciate the fact that there was a way to play the bonus episode without having to pay for it. If you’re reading this, you need to play this game!
Tmaro23325,
The only thing bad about it is how short it is.
But this is definitely a puzzle worth figuring out!

Not many games challenge you to do nothing when faced with saving a life.

And that’s part of this game’s genius! Sometimes in order to proceed correctly, you have to ignore all your glowing options and just... let things be.

And that proves to be the hardest thing to do in the post-Half Life age. In a world where you are always manipulating SOMETHING in order to solve a puzzle.

Will you be able to solve it?

Felt weird after playing this
The game mechanics of rewinding time are really interesting and fun to play with, but the game itself is really short, I beat both episodes in less than 20min. However my biggest complaint is the story, the point of the game is you're trying to go back in time and stop yourself from killing a woman which your character has been stalking, and it just feels a little creepy at times. Also the ending is too ambiguous for my taste.
shougekinojp,
Interesting
But short. Had a grim plot but that made it really interesting and made decisions you make really impact the story and you could see how your actions affect it in a small way. Larger stories like this allow multiple actions to still get the proper ending or one of many proper endings which i usually hate but in this case there is only one ending which I love. よくできた
