The BEST creation ever!!!
I am currently a Student at Aveda Institute. I graduated high school in 2009 and can’t tell you the last time I took a major exam! My school printed out the mock exams so that I could study, but that did not work for me. I was not retaining the information. I would go over the questions & check my answers with the last sheet of the packet. Any questions/answers I was unsure of, I had to pull out my book to figure out the why’s. With this app, all I had to do was click the question “?” mark and it explained it to me right then and there. Not only does it give you the mock exams, it breaks down each individual section into its own tests! Anatomy & Physiology, Chemicals, Electricity, Skin Disorders, Nail Diseases & Disorders, etc. It also has a tab for “questions I got wrong” so that I could go back and easily look over what I missed. Talk about AMAZING! For only $10 a month! I spend $10 on food and snacks so why not put it towards my future right?! Needless to say I passed my state board practical....the first time!!!! Tears of joy!!!! I would recommend this app to the entire universe! It’s so worth it!!! Pay the $10! I promise you won’t regret it!❤️

Definitely Recommend
I had went to cosmetology school 6 years ago and didn’t really have interest afterwards on if I really wanted to do hair. I decided recently I wanted to take my test to start working in a salon and give the career path a chance. Only thing is I waited so long to take the test I didn’t remember all the stuff I learned back in school to successfully pass the test. I seen this app had good reviews so I figured why not give it a try? Either way I didn’t remember some of the information from what I learned back then and really wanted to pass. It was nice that you can purchase all the tests for $9.99. They have each section that will be covered in your exam. I would do the tests when I had free time and didn’t have to carry around any big books. It was super nice to find out the right answer if you got it wrong along with the explanation of what the right answer was. I took my test yesterday and passed with flying colors the first time all thanks to this app!

Pregnancy and boards
I was 32 weeks pregnant when I graduated cosmetology school so I held off on my boards until after I gave birth. Two months later I realized how hard it was -trying- to study, write notecards, and take care of a baby that I almost gave up my dream career. I absolutely LOVE this app and how easy it is to use. Instead of carrying around heavy books, notecards and trying to fit them in a diaper bag, I have everything I need on my phone and can pick up and set down a test anytime I need to. The price of the exams are very reasonable (the PSI practice exams are 5x’s more expensive) and the content has a large variety of questions, exams, and chapters to help you with what you specifically need to study. The $9.99 a month subscription was such an outstanding price that I couldn’t pass it up! I HIGHLY recommended this app to my former instructor and classmates. (And now you) Cheers to mommy life and a cosmetology career!

I love this app. It doesn’t hurt to try it. It’s free for a lesson. After the first lesson you’ll love it and will continue to get the other test. They are worth it. When I saw the reviews I was able to see that the developer is actively working on this app. I love it. I want to thank the developer. I have been struggling to study for my state board test because I’m not good when it comes to study. So many thing that I have to do during the day and at night my baby sleeps at 10pm which lets me super tired and I try to study from my book but i don’t know why i can’t retain the information in my head!!! So this app make it way easier to study where ever I go, wherever I loosing 5 min waiting for my 4 year old in school or cooking, etc. Thank you to how ever made this app.

This app is ideal & exactly what I was looking for!
The questions are thorough and it automatically saves the questions you got wrong into a separate exam to focus on later. There are 7 overall exams with 105 questions each and then exams for each subject individually. It’s easier than making flashcards for all of the chapters yourself. I only needed it for one month so it cost me $10. I spend more than that on food I shouldn’t buy anyways and this is actually really helpful. (I have not taken the cosmetology exam yet but I am already licensed in esthetics and the questions have the same format/quality of what my esthetics exam was so I feel like that they will adequately prepare me for my cosmetology exam) Highly recommended!

Hello, let me just start off by saying this app is 100% worth it. I had attended the Aveda Institute and finished the whole cosmetology course in NO hopes of getting my license cause at that time I wasn’t sure in the path I was heading? Fast forward to 4 years I finally worked the courage to take my test, but the only thing was that I didn’t retain any of the information when I was in school. I came across this app, seen excellent reviews and very affordable to get every bit of material you need. Let’s just say I’m not a good test taker and I really shocked myself to see me pass it on my first try. Like who would’ve thought I would become a stylist ;P anyone studying for their state board I highly recommend this. Good luck

Hi! I definitely do recommend this app because you will learn a lot! I’ve always struggled with learning….so this app proved me wrong it’s the best! It will tell you right there if the answer is wrong or correct! Also gives you the definitions of the words! What really helped me was The section of the
“ questions I got wrong “ so I will go over those all the time! Some questions on here were similar to the actual test so that’s a bonus! I think what helped me as well was the fact that this app gives you the definitions to terms and also gives you techniques to remembering words that look similar!

Passed my exam on the first try
Used this to study for a whole month before my exam in CA and I love how it has individual subjects, 7 practice exams, question of the day, AND questions I got wrong. I first did every individual subject, went through the ones I got wrong and randomly started picking practice exams. It does have the definitions and reasons why for certain answers so I used that information to make flash cards. Also even if you pick the wrong answer it doesn’t tell you the right one until you actually click on it which really helps you learn instead of automatically showing you. I do recommend buying the whole set bc it’s only $10 and it really does help you prepare. Thank you guys!!!

If you’re horrible at studying and constantly keep your phone in your hand, this app is for you!! I graduated Cosmetology school 4 years ago! Yes, 4 years, and hadn’t taken my theory exam. Mainly out of fear of failing. Fast forward, I found this app, paid for the subscription, and continued the journey to being officially licensed. I love how its broken down into sections from science/anatomy to Hair design. Not to mention mock exams available to you that vary the questions as the real exam will. I passed my exam on the first try thanks to this app. Don’t think about it, buy it and study hard! Good luck!

The Absolute Best
I was hesitant on getting this app for my state board to practice for my cosmetology this app 100% helped me pass with flying colors. It was on TikTok where I saw that someone had used it I had searched high and low to help me to make sure I passed my state board in this 100% helped me out of all the other apps that I have tried. It gives you the definition of why the question is wrong which is a plus instead of just telling you that it’s wrong with no explanation.
