Best cooking game I’ve found
I have tried numerous other cooking games but have not stayed with them because it gets harder to acquire diamonds (or jewels) and u need then to advance or you need “boost” to get you through the levels and they cost
This game really does not require you purchase anything, all you need is patience. You have, each day, the ability to earn 10 diamonds and 5000 coins just by watching ads. I was able to gain a significant amount of both from just doing that everyday for a month
You also have daily tasks that can earn you coins & diamonds
You also earn coins for stages completed and by leveling up. The upgrade to kitchen or interior are not at all expensive and you will be able to afford if you just take some time to collect your daily diamonds and coins
Even if you decide to purchase coins, diamonds or desert packs (which I have done on occasion) the price does not seem as steep as other games
And with new restaurants added all the time you don’t get bored and have plenty to choose from
So in conclusion, this is the BEST cooking game I have around and I very happily give it 5 stars

A new favorite
I give it 4 stars because while it is fun and has just enough challenge to keep you playing, the amount of gems you can earn is pretty low. They ask a lot to upgrade, jumping from 1-10 in the first level (from the lowest to the highest upgrade) to 3-15 per upgrade in the second. As I’ve only opened the first two restaurants I can only hope they don’t continue going up per upgrade in each! I don’t want to spend a bunch of money to be able to play and quite honestly as you get in the higher levels, you NEED gems in order to upgrade or you won’t be able to reach the keys on each level to open the next restaurant. (Or you can pay with a mixture of coins and gems, but with gems so hard to come up with, that’s not really an option unless you want to pay with real money) I did pay to get rid of ads (because they’re relentless! Between each level AND before you can go back to the main menu!) But I bought a gem pack in order to get rid of them. (Any purchase gets rid of ads, which is nice) I just wish we could use in game coins to buy gems, that’d be a nice upgrade! I will probably spend a few more dollars to play this game, as I do like to support the creators of good games! But would love more opportunities to earn/buy gems without spending real money.

Is a good game. I actually started playing on Facebook, where it’s absolutely impossible to really earn gems. It does give you a chance to map out a strategy for how you can go about being frugal.
I did pay the .99 for no ads. Regardless, you’re going to have to watch ads. Lots of ads. There’s a limit for attaining gems with ads. 10. It’s the only way to earn gems without paying. You’ll also have to watch ads to speed up upgrades in the restaurant.
There is a little Happy Birthday boost to sorta get you going. The accumulation of gems is slow going. The VIP offer isn’t enticing enough. 5 gems a day is basically not worth the $5 a month. I’ve just really started (got stuck on the fb game and enjoyed it enough to download the app), but once you have daily tasks that absolutely require purchasing certain special food with gems to get 3 stars, instead of extremely smart upgrade and immaculate play, it takes away the desire really feel like if you wanted to throw a few bucks, you would. Forcing it too much.
So basically there’s a gem issue where the developers are so frugal with them, that it takes away the playability and even the desire to spend some actual money. The developers just don’t have the correct balance.

UPDATED In regards to bogus 1 star review.
I only came to leave a review because of a 1 star review that I read about the game registering the diamonds and coins. It’s absolutely wrong. The person stated basically how it’s bs that they ask for diamonds right off the bat like it’s impossible to earn them in the game? Well, it’s so easy to earn coins and diamonds, and it is only 99¢ to remove adds. So play the game for yourself and you’ll see, some of the low ratings are total bs.

Better than others
Most of these cooking games have the same objective: they want you to buy upgrades with coins and gems. Like the other games, I feel that the amount of gems required for upgrades is a little high. But at least in this game, you are given daily opportunities to win them both, and sometimes you can double your winnings.
Like the other games, I feel that the jackpot machine is rigged. I RARELY win gems that way.
I am experiencing some technical glitches when trying to watch videos for rewards with my IPad, which is extremely frustrating (I keep getting kicked off the game completely). I prefer to play on my iPad, because it's hard to see the food orders on my iPhone. But I reached out to the developers, and they responded very quickly. They are aware of the issue and are working on it. I was very impressed with their response.
Overall, it's a typical cooking game with some fun elements. Players complain about the irritating background music- but aren't most of these games that way?

Crap upgrades
33 spins. At 500 coins each to get 1 diamond. Do not allow diamonds to be needed to upgrade if you need coins to upgrade anyway. Even if every spin didn’t break even to 500 coins that 16,500 coins to get 2 diamond max if you are given the option to watch an add to double the prize. This is a rip off. This shouldn’t be. The game is great if you didn’t need to have diamonds to upgrade everything. Get rid of that. It’s dumb. It’s a scam. And it’s the reason the app is crap. Make it coins only and to speed up the upgrading uses diamonds. You don’t get them often so paying for more diamonds is the only way. To be a great app u need coins only upgrades and diamond speed them up. I’d spend diamonds to speed up an upgrade but not to get the upgrade and speed it up. Fix that and I’ll fix my rating

The game may be fun yea but the bad part about it is the gems most people don’t really see a point in them because you can barely upgrade your cooking stuff because of the gems first there hard to get second most people ask why not just use coins in the game which is also my question why don’t we cooking fever answer unknown third gems are literally like trying to find a needle in a haystack and really the only way you can get them and have a lot is by buying them with money and another thing you might ask why not spin the wheel thing with your money well because you literally won’t get any gems even tho it’s on the wheel spin it’s a cold hearted scam the only way you can get it is if your a hacker but other than those four reasons the games fun on Opposite Day

Fun Addicting Game
This is a cute and fun game. It’s also addicting and sometimes frustrating. My only quibble is that you barely can ever earn gems without spending actual money and you can’t upgrade your restaurant without them. That’s somewhat unfair. There’s a lot of ads but it’s kind of needed so that you take a real and stretch because this game is very addicting! I’ll still play but I think you should have more chances to get gems without having to pay actual money for them! Or be able to upgrade without them!

I thoroughly enjoyed this game and passed many levels were three stars, but throughout the game starts requiring special ingredients that you can pay for in the App Store. You can’t even get more than one star without buying the special ingredients was with real dollars (or whatever currency you pay for games with) The app is such a pay to play scenario I would stop playing. I love the game so I paid a few times but it eventually led me to leaving the game altogether. It’s really really fun but it’s nearly impossible To get free gems in the game or to get gems in the slot machine. It’s fun to upgrade the inside of your restaurant but the amount of $ that is required to upgrade anything is outrages.

Fun for the most part
I enjoy this game, and the fact that you can play as much as you want without having to wait for energy or lives to accrue. My complaint though is the equipment upgrade process. The gems are costly and it’s frustrating. Also, the timer on the challenge seems to stop before all the time has actually run out. I could probably get the small amount needed to win the level in those 45 seconds left, but you end the challenge so I have to start over. Let the challenge go through all the way to the end and let upgrades happen with just coins. You will have happier players.
