Cryptic Crossword Hack 1.25 + Redeem Codes

I really like this app! I’ve only started learning how to do cryptic crosswords a year ago, and many of the more well-known ones (like Guardian) are still a bit too challenging for me. I would say these are definitely on the easy side, so if you’re a seasoned cryptic solver, you might not find these challenging enough. But it was perfect for me! I get to practice stretching my brain on puzzles that are the right level that I can actually completely solve them. If you’re not sure it’s for you, you get a whole 28 puzzles with the free app. I went ahead and paid the very reasonable fee to unlock the rest of the puzzles. If I had to change something, I do wish there was more variety of wordplay in the clues. A whole lot of clues are anagram puzzles or “find the hidden word” puzzles, so this app isn’t really teaching me to solve the more difficult ones which have more types of complex wordplay.

The problem with these Cryptic Crosswords is that they're going to run out and I'll be bereft. Teazel generously gives you 18 free puzzles (took in each of nine sets) and for some very low purchase price opens all of them, which is approximately 180 puzzles. It's actually a bit more because there one or two sets that have an extra game.

If you're a cryptic fan like I am, this is a feast of puzzles. I tried to hold myself to one —or maybe just two — puzzles per day but I ended up like a kid in the cookie jar, unable to resist.
There is an option to erase an entire puzzle but I'd really love the option to erase them all in one "swell foop" so I can do them over again. Even better would be to have a new set of cryptic puzzles, but if Teazel won't provide new those, I'll try their regular crosswords to see if they also present a pleasurable challenge.

One caveat for those of us in the States, it helps if you quite a bit of British slang (or can find a translation dictionary) but since it seems the Brits produce lots of good cryotics.

My 80yo mother loves this app. She has become an addict of Cryptic Crosswords. Since she was a teenager she's been into traditional crosswords, but she says she likes cryptic even better.

Personally I hate crosswords. I'm too stupid. But seeing my mother this thrilled with a challenge that she can still meet is worthy of a 5 star review for me.

And 260 puzzles for $4 is remarkable value. Crazy even. Mom's a fan of the app, and I'm a now a fan of Teazel (the developer).

Bought this app years ago and loved it. Wanted to download and play them again but the app didn’t recognize that I had previously bought them. Contacted customer service at 9PM and had a solution in my inbox when I got up in the morning. Can’t beat that for customer service! Loving this app all over again.

This is one of those apps that deserves a trip to the App Store to write a glowing review. The clues are clever, not terribly difficult not unnecessarily convoluted, but not easy either. It has me hooked! Truly enjoyable. Several packs included. I am still on Pack 2 and relishing each crossword.

I love cryptic crosswords and I’m glad to have found an app for them. I play at least one a day while commuting. I don’t usually pay for games but this has been totally worth it. Thanks!

I’m pretty new to cryptic puzzles and I love the workout they give my brain. This app has a bunch of good ones for my level of solver - I can answer most clues if I mull them over long enough, but some I need a little hint. Overall I feel like I’m learning a lot and some of the clues really make me laugh.

These are, as other reviewers have made clear, beginner-level cryptic crossword puzzles. There’s nothing wrong with that, but 259 (unless I miscounted) puzzles at the same, basic level starts to get a bit dull long before one gets even a fifth of the way through. I don’t mean to carp, but I don’t think I will bother to finish these.

I am relatively new to cryptic crosswords and this presents the right level of challenge and accessibility! I don't have time to do them often, so I definitely feel like there are plenty of puzzles, and I am getting my money's worth.

I’m addicted to cryptic crosswords. I go through books of them. These are my go-to puzzles while traveling. Reasonably challenging and enjoyable. I like the logic and approach of the creator(s).
