MissJNET,
Yay! Party cannons!
I didn't want to wait for this app to ask for my review in exchange for it to be free. I already love how this app works. Easy to use - means easy to meet your water intake goals. And the tiny celebration with each glass is endearing. I've been won over.

Some folks are whining about making a 5 star review in order to continue use. Really? If you love it, rate that you love it. Or, do yourself a favor and delete the app and make room for a useful app on your device. I initially downloaded 3 water apps. This is the app I decided was most user-friendly and deleted the others.

Now if only I can change my woman icon to different expressions. There's room for creativity. All in all....great app.
Scottso,
Like fIlling a bucket with a hole in it
This review is for the FREE version of this app, which is the problem with this app. No where in the description did I see that the app would stop working unless I either paid $1.99 or gave a 5-star review. And this is the reason I believe the app is rated so high.

To be fair, the app does what it says - it is easy to use with a simply slide to record water intake. It has a simple, attractive design and makes it simple to know exactly where you stand against your daily intake goal. The constant cheering and confetti rewards quickly grew old but could have been overlooked.

I simply can't recommend an app that allows me to use for a few days and then informs me to access my data and continue using I must either purchase or rate with 5 stars. If I had known up front that this was the case and paid the Pro fee, I beleive I would have rated this app much higher as it does do what it claims.
RealmReal2013,
Excellent App
I absolutely love this app. Before downloading it, it was hit or miss with the water intake but I sincerely wanted to be good to and express gratitude for my body and give it what it needs and this app, with its built in incentives, assists and applauds me as I attempt to reach my goal each day.

On the one hand, I was a bit surprised when I opened the app this morning and learned that continued use was conditional but on the other, I understand and will not give it a lesser rating because the app does deliver. Perhaps the conditions could be stated before one downloads it.

Thank you kindly for such a helpful tool. I have recommended it to my family, friends and colleagues.
nighteowl,
Ok, I feel really duped.
I’d have given the app 5 stars, but there is some false advertisement going on here. I’ve been using the tracker for a couple of weeks and just decided to upgrade. I went in, paid the $1.99 for “Water Tracker Pro,” as stated in the description of the app, and all it did was remove ads, which were perfectly fine, in my opinion, and I used to click on some, thinking it was good for their affiliation. Now I can’t look at my history or adjust settings without paying .99 for some subscription?? No subscription was ever mentioned in the “In-App Purchases” section or anywhere in the app before now. I never would have downloaded the app had I known that there would be more strings, or that the Pro level was only to remove ads. I’m not pleased.
Jachelle,
5 stars - Arm Twisted.
I am writing this 5 star review so I can continue using the app without paying $1.99. I like the app. It's very simple to track water intake and does its job. I don't like that when I downloaded the app, it didn't mention anything about using the trial. Today when I logged in, there was a message saying that I had 2 options if I wanted to continue using the app: 1.) Leave a 5 star review 2.) Pay $1.99. So here I am, leaving a review because yes, I'm cheap and don't want to pay $2 for a water tracker.

In closing, I actually do like the app but maybe not $2 worth.
Lem27@3xgo,
Great
I am required to write a five star review in order to continue using this app for free. That said, I am quite pleased with this app. It is easy to use and accurate. I tried another one that I did not like and deleted. But I think set as long as I continue to use this app to measure my water consumption without problems then there is no need to delete it. The main thing that I like about it is that it doesn't take a lot of time and a lot of aggravation to use the app. And the applause every time I add water is a nice touch!
doli23,
It's just okay
I'm deleting the app today after using it for about a month.
Here's why I don't recommend it:

1) After 5 days of using the free app you are REQUIRED to leave a 5 star review to keep using it for free. So the ratings you see are forced on the user (who wants to use only free apps) by the developer.

2) The notification settings do not work. I've tried to reset and save them multiple times. So, unless you want "Drink! Drink! Drink!" Popping up on your phone (and, in my case, also your Apple Watch) every hour, on the hour, then you probably don't want to install it.

3) There is no way to manipulate the Applause sound (to turn it forever and completely off). So, if you forget to mute your phone then anyone around you will hear the sound of clapping and applause whenever you add water. Kind of embarrassing.

All that being said, I did like the body graphic and it was somewhat motivating to try and fill up the body each day. That's why I rated it two stars instead of one star. Unfortunately that is not enough to incentivize me to keep it in view of the other two annoyances.
CMelias,
Cute but ultimately deleted
I liked the graphics of the body filling with water and the little celebration every time I drank water and entered it.
However, the graph only showed by years instead of daily, showing 7 Dec 21sts, so it didn't show anything. Because I haven't been using it for 7 years....
And if you did anything else in the app besides enter water, ads immediately popped up. I understand it's a free app, but EVERYTIME I use ANY feature? No thank you.
This is basically click bait to get you to simply buy the upgrade/premium app. What garbage. I ended up getting My Water Balance instead. Still has an option to upgrade, with nice features, but the basic free app is still really nice to use.
Serina Arianne,
A fun app
Hi all, this app is a great. The only thing that is a little off is that it requires you to write a 5 star review in order to keep using the free version which is a little off putting. However, I would give it 5 stars even if I didn't have to in order to keep using it. It really is a fun way to track your water intake and I love the little celebrations it gives you when you complete your goal for the day! Making sure I drink half my body weight in ounces of water each day has never been so positive.
mnilny,
Does what it says
Basically it does everything it says it will and nothing more. Which isn't a complaint, obviously, but I prefer apps that are more. Health directed. Maybe something that will determine how much water you should be drinking based on your weight/activity level/etc
Otherwise, it's pretty nice. I like how the water fills up in a graphic, the visual is very helpful in motivating me to keep drinking water. The only real downturn is its requirement to give it a 5 star rating to continue using, or pay $2.
