I love the colors and a possibility to edit settings inside the preset.
What is missed for me: crop tool, organizer, the ability to edit more than one photos at a time (like in Lightroom for example). So most of all I pay in this app for right colors, grain etc in my photographs, not for a user-friendly interface. And I repeat: the colors are great.

A must-have for getting that much closer to film
I don’t know if I’ve ever gone out of my way to write a positive review about an application in my 10+ of using the App Store, but I must here. Most people are using this to get closer to a “film” look in digital process, and your toolset is not complete without using Dehancer. The bloom, halation, and the remainder of the editing tools are the cornerstones of my final touches when I export from LR as a TIFF into Dehancer. There have been many improvements made to the app since I purchased in January, so I forgive any intermittent oddities, because at least I know they’re being worked on. One feature that I do wish was present, however, was the ability to add halation from Cinestill, which is something I currently need to do in another application. I would also like to be able to edit a DNG or other RAW file straight within Dehancer, and maybe you can, I just don’t know how. I appreciate that the tools are unique to this application and not just another take on the same old photo editing tool. Even if the ends are the same at times, I think there’s value at looking at your workflow in a different way because sometimes you’ll come to a different result; a result you like better than had you been doing your typical process elsewhere. Worth the subscription fee. Hands down.

A Must Have For That Traditional Film Look
This app I feel is a necessity for all photographers to have and use for their photography workflow. This app is identical to its desktop counterpart in many ways and take’s mobile photography for iPhone back to the film years. You can add halation to your pictures, vignetting, add film bloom, use from many choices of film emulators that give you the look of old film brands including Kodak and Fuji-film and will give you that natural film grain look that makes photography so beautiful as if you were using a 35mm film medium. This tool is beautiful, yet powerful. There are so many possibilities when editing your images on this app and will help you understand photography from the basics if you are a photographer from only the digital era. Download the PDF online for directions on what each tool is and how it works to better understand the processing and the true science behind Dehancer. It is a must have!

Pure Excellence
This app is 100% worth it in my opinion. I’ve been using the plugin for DaVinci Resolve, and it sets my footage apart give a vintage, organic and cinematic image every time. Now that it’s available on ios, I can achieve the same quality with iphone clips! I swear, you can’t even tell it was shot on iphone! I’ve used other apps that claim to give a vintage aesthetic, but these apps require you to use the built in camera, and that’s a pain. Dehancer allows you to use any existing media on your phone: photos, video, timelapse etc. and it also has a built in camera if that’s your thing. You really do have so much control over your image, with thousands of potential combinations. Try out, you won’t be disappointed 🎥

Great for getting the film look!
I’ve really enjoyed using Dehancer for quickly getting a nice filmic look out of my photos! It’s a quick and easy workflow for posting instagram stories and such. They’ve improved it significantly and consistently update it, so while it may have been a bit of a bumpy start, I think it’ll only continue to get better! I have an iPhone 12 and the new video feature provides great colors, but it can be a bit processor heavy, so for video clips longer than a minute, it may take 5-7 mins to render. But again just like the much improved photo editing stability on the newest update, I’m hopeful that the video capabilities will only get better + our phones improving as well!

The Best Film Emulation
Dehancer has listened to users and now offers the option of one-time payment for the app (as in the desktop apps). They have also fixed an annoying color shift that was going on for months. So I have no complains. It all seems amazing.
After having used their desktop apps extensively I was very impressed with how well they were able to translate all their functionality into iOS. Honestly the colors, all the tools, modules, and what you can do with both photo AND video is incredible. You do have to read some articles on their site or their manual to get used to the terminology and understand how each slider works, but it truly is amazing. Team is always responsive answering questions so that’s a big plus.
I do have a request. I wish the edits would get stacked on top of the original photo. Dealing with duplicates is not very good for organization.
But still, the app is a dream.

Incredible cinematic film emulation
This app has a ton of features to get your photos or footage looking the way you want with professional results. It’s extremely stable too I have to add. you can even make your own presets and save them for future projects. Excellent work Dehancer!
One thing I hope the developer team adds is an “A-B” button to compare original to the edited. I know the feature already exists, but it would be much easier to tap a button quick, especially when using Apple Pencil.

Wonderful colors and tones
Beautiful emulations of all the most popular films, plus a few exotic stocks for super creative looks. The editing tools and lingo may be a little unusual compared to other photo editing apps (they’re modeled after darkroom equipment and terminology, but it didn’t take long for me to figure it out. Love being able to grade photos and videos using the same emulations for a consistent look. If you like this app, recommend checking by out their desktop plugin as well.

Never using Lightroom Mobil again.
I’m always wanting a quick way to add a lot of character to photos for quick story posts. But this app is making my quick snaps worthy of feed posts. Being able to get such cinematic looks with just a few taps on your phone is amazing while still offering a wide range of controls to dive in and fine tune the details to get the look I’m exactly going for. VSCO could never.

Great tool for content creators
I have been using Dehancer plug-in with Final Cut Pro x for a while and I absolutely love it. Now that they have added video tools for the iOS app I started using it as well and it’d very impressive.
I think it’s a great tool for iPhone users to emulate a film look on footage shot on the iPhone.
The app has lots of features very similar to the Final Cut Pro x plug-in so it’s very impressive.
It does takes a while to render the footage, but the end result is worth it.
