Insanestarflame,
I've used this to track my mental wellbeing for five years
DTest is a simple, easy-to-use app. It uses the standard 9-question test that you would get at a doctor's office. There is a history chart, where you can scroll back and see your answers from past tests, and the ability for notes to be written - though I don't usually use this feature much.

It's not a needy app - it simply keeps track of your mental health, and provides resources if you wish to seek help (though I don't recommend using BetterHelp, for the various controversies with it). You can also set it up to send reminders, if you wish to have a routine with it - but it's not necessary.

The developers are also responsive, and receptive to suggestions. I've never had the app itself break. There is no paid version, or free trial, or any prompt at all to give money for your mental health - to the point where honestly, I've used this for so long, I wouldn't *mind* a tip jar option. Maybe you could do something cosmetic as a perk, like change the app's colors, or the icon itself?

In a world where every app seems to want to do everything for you, to the point where it becomes overwhelming, DTest is a refreshingly simple and clean app. I've used it for five years to track my mental health through highs and lows, and as long as it plans to remain an awesome, easy-to-use app, I can easily picture myself using it for another five.
Developers please respond 🙏🏻,
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You NEED to get this app. I got help from my school counselor after this and I felt so much better. It said I had severe depression and it was completely right. Please if you struggle with even mild depression or suicidal thoughts do not hesitate to get help wether it’s your counselor, a therapist, a teacher, a friend, a parent, or any other trusted adult. Do not keep that type of stuff to yourself, it will only make it worse. I am just trying to help you❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎💔❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹❣️💕💞💓💗💖💘💝💟! Do NOT hesitate. Suicide is a serious problem in the world people die from it every day. Again I say do not hesitate to get help.

Buttermilk Waffle,
Similar to what hospitals do, but...
So I’m under the age of 18, I’m actually diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I have to take medications and see a therapist and psychiatrist. They tend to give you a form to fill out with similar questions to these so they can keep data of your feeling and emotions. The only difference is, this test is much shorter therefore may be less accurate. Is it a nice way to reflect and track the days you’ve felt depressed? Yes! Will it tell you if you actually have depression and you should probably seek greater help? No! If you scored 20-27 i recommend getting immediate help!!
SignerJ,
Basic, but Good
It's a basic app, but that's a good thing! It's very straightforward. It provides a handy way for tracking depression symptoms over time with its history feature.

If I had to ask for anything, I wish that the history feature could chart things based on time, rather than just using a constant interval for each measurement. I know that it would require storing more data, but I think it might be worth it.
BlueLilly101,
Good idea but there are glitches
I love would to use the app more but there glitches such as when I’m writing it would be slow, not save writing if tab moved, you can’t use the mic on keyboard it would move the writing and mess up the whole thing or and delete some of my writing. It can get annoying when trying to write/vent in the journal it would move without notice and it would just get more stressful if you were already stress but I still like the app for the test it helps see my progress on how far I’ve come or fallen in the state
Puggie1023,
App is helpful but
This app is helpful and like doing my own self check up with a bit of test. Writing stuff down helps a lot. Only issue is if I go away from the page when I’m typing for a second it erases my work. I want to be able to tab out for a second and come back to writing. I don’t wanna rewrite everything again. Also editing function is weird. I wanna add a part or take away and it doesn’t seem to always work. I appreciate this app for what it is but the journal section needs some work.
Mariam Kadiri,
I’m nervous
I’m still 12 years old, and become a teenager in a few months. I took the test and got a 16/24. It told me I have severe depression, and that makes me really anxious. No one in my family has ever been diagnosed with depression. Some people say that I’m a little off, you know like, I’m not being myself. I think it’s a good app and all, and I’m still not sure why I am depressed, but it did make me feel really scared for the future and myself
Cro0kD_T,
Such a supportive app
I really struggle with depression, and seeking help. When I feel really down and spiteful, I can come to these questions for a general estimate of my mental state. And it’s reassurance that I’m not crazy. I just had a freak-out so, I took the test and noticed the self-help option. Thank you for not capitalizing on mental illness that I struggle with, and making this an option for some help when I can’t ask.
AddyBee67,
Great App, accurate for me
I got a 20/27 and that sounds about right...So yeah for me personally I think it was pretty accurate, but everyone is different so I recommend you talk to a doctor if you’re feeling depressed. Also, I really like the journal aspect of the app, it gave me somewhere to vent that I wouldn’t have to deal with my family’s opinions or have to talk to some stranger with a degree that’ll give me pity. Great app!
Moltenglacier,
Annoying test & deleted data
I would give it 4 or 5 stars, but it has a really annoying beginning to the test: it says “don’t worry, be happy” — which is an incredibly counterproductive thing to say to a depressed person — like it is a choice.

The app also updated a couple of years ago and deleted all my data, so I don’t trust long term data storage, and if I was really interested in that, I would have to export the data regularly.
