Caedon Hawk,
Story. Rage. Story.
How much you like this game is dependent on who you are. If you love insanely challenging levels and awesome story, I recommend this game. I wish there was a death counter since I probably died over 1000 times. Then again I’m a guy that literally took 6 years to beat Chemical Plant Stage 2 in Sonic 2. I think the story is a good payoff for this difficultly. Although it’s not long, I found myself intrigued by the concepts in the story and the characters. I have to point out that playing on a touchscreen is THE WORST. My fingers tend to slowly drift of the buttons and I end up dying with the next checkpoint right out of reach. Also, I highly recommend the ad removal purchase. It’s more rage inducing to hear the same cheesy local gym ad 200 times then to die and instantly spawn. In terms of horror... eh. This game isn’t really scary, since it’s primarily a platformer. I’ve been more scared by FNaF, which is rather low in my book of horrific things. I will say that the whole plot, while short, is well written in my opinion. The game is really small in terms of storage required, and it’s free so I definitely think you should try it. Just remember that some sections need such precision that they are literally only done by me like 2% of tries. Oh yeah, just gonna say this game is pretty self aware, as it says in its description.
Mikuru//X,
A Good Gaming Experience
I’ll be honest, I totally forgot that I pre-ordered this game but I’m glad it popped into my iPad when it did. From the game icon alone, I knew I was going into a game with a few jump scares but then I started playing and got threw off right at the start thinking this was a simple run and jump platformer. That’s until I made it to the end of level one and found that this game has an actual story.

From this point, things started to get weirder and grimmer. At this point, I started felt myself getting nervous because I can’t take games with jump scares but I try them to try and get over my fear. The levels started to get harder and later, the puzzles started to kick in. Things start to get much weirder but scary after level 2. By then, I really felt like I should stop playing cause my heart couldn’t take getting scared but curiosity kicks in and the game compels you to move on to see where this all ends.

From start to finish, the game is a enjoyable ride with a unexpected twist in stored for the player which I won’t spoil. From the level design to the music, everything is a memorable little experience that is worth the price tag for the locked three levels. If you have $1 to blow, I recommend you get this game.
Typoerror awesome,
Passed My Expectation
To be completely honest I really thought the game was going to be extremely concise with most of its story. The game surprisingly had a good pace of progression, keeping me interested in the level design and the compelling story. I’ve also developed an aquatinted feeling towards Yanna and the Developer, making the experience something worth while. Some parts really got me at first but somehow this game taught me patience is key. I highly recommend anyone reading this to play the game, it has simple controls, a compelling story, and some spook! (A little something for the developer... I was so interested with the game I decided to check out your other games, I’m yet to play it but I’ve noticed there weren’t many reviews. I’m so glad to see this game was completely successful. I felt as if some of the story being told in the game was also reflecting off of what’s happening in real life. Such as your dreams probably being crushed because of some game breaking bug. I’d probs have to check on your other games to be sure but I’m glad this is very successful! Keep making games and thank you for this experience.)
Oreoshik,
Unbeatable level?
Hello! I love this game, I haven’t played the first one tho. I made it passed Limbo and I am at the Deep. I like the puzzles when sliding Knightly across the 2D map. I made to the boss I think, but the exit to that area is blocked off, I tried everything. I tried getting the projectiles to hit the blockade, I tried dying next to the exit, I tried just waiting it out while avoiding the projectiles, I tried killing the enemy, I tried pausing, I tried sliding into the exit repeatedly, I tried breaking the projectiles, I tried sliding into the boss, I tried closing the game and reopening, I tried going to the home screen and looking in the in game settings, I tried looking in my phone settings, I tried tapping on the blocked exit, I tried finding a secret exit, I even tried to rotate my phone every which way thinking I can get my bullets to hit the exit, I TRIED EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE. I’m guessing I just have to try to keep killing the boss, but the projectiles are impossible and she floats to the sides of the area. Idk what to do I could look up a walkthrough, but I’m trying to finish on my own. The rest of the game was pretty easy I had some trouble with some areas, but just needed some time to learn the patterns. I would love to see the end, but until I finish the game the 5 stars will have to wait, I’ll keep trying but I have been for 5 hours straight.
Leichang,
Adequately unsettling and Difficult
I was really hooked into the premise of the game so much that I went back and played some of the prequels as to further understand the story and see how the development was going. There were some parts of certain levels that would consistently stop me from moving and the story is ok, the 3D anime models were somewhat jarring but not in a horror sense, it was more like an out of place fruit like seeing an orange among apples, I get that might have been intentional but it would have been better for me if the 3D models were pixelated like how Kara and the nun was in the first game. Like the part where you get in a boss fight with Yanna and how she floats around like the logos on tvs when they’re on idle mode was really cheesy. Other than that though I did like the level difficulties and the atmosphere kept me on my toes for most of it. There was only one part where I didn’t know what to do and there was really no indication for me on how to progress but I only got through by randomly hitting the pause button. Overall while it may seem like the cons outweigh the pros by many I still really enjoyed the game from start to finish and would definitely recommend it. I am very interested in the next games Darius produces.
NohHah,
Infuriating Controls
The game was intriguing with its story and had me scared to death with the ambient noise in level 3. This game was well crafted in many ways but falls short in a key component to the game: the controls and movement of Knightly. This game requires precise jumps and timing but this is made nearly impossible due to the unresponsive controls, the inconsistency of Knightly’s movement, and the hit boxes. Let me address the controls first. Upon pressing a button you’d expect the game to respond properly, however in many portions of the game the jump button seemed to do nothing (and to anyone who says I might have missed the button, I was looking at the jump button when I pressed it and had the screen recording on so I could look back at the footage). Then there’s the problem of the characters movement. One of the most difficult game mechanic in a platformer to overcome is the sliding effect of a character on ice or something else slippery, but if the character itself is sliding all over the place the precision jumps are a pain in the ***, but all of these pale in comparison to the horrendous hit boxes in the game. Platforms you should’ve landed on, you didn’t and dangers you clearly avoided hit you. This game and its hit boxes will be the ultimate downfall of this game. This game could’ve been so much better if issues like this didn’t take away from your experience... that is why I give this game a 3/5
therealred5,
Can’t say enough good things about this game
But I will try...

With millions of apps that are instantly deleted or are so quickly forgetable, this game is one of the rare games that takes you on a journey you won’t ever forget. The game warns you it is not for the easily frustrated and it means it. That said, with every death, you learn and get better, and then eventually find a way by. The check points are never too far apart. The story is great, funny, and terrifying. Nods to great games like the recent Celeste and classics like Portal will make fans of those games smile. BRAVO to the developer and please keep making games. You are a breath of fresh air to app gaming. If there is one bad thing to say, it would be that it is a bit on the short side, but that is probably because I could not get enough. The free price tag is amazing and the ads don't really get in the way. I gladly paid to remove the ads because I wanted to support the game, not because the ads really got in the way if you are patient. Thank you again for an unforgettable gaming experience.
CliveOfLegend,
Unoriginal and dull with one good scare
I had high hopes for this game going in, but it managed to disappoint me in just about every way. It desperately wants to be sinister, but it gives the game away almost instantly. It’s so impatient to show you how ~spooky~ it is that it leaves no time for the atmosphere to develop. Just about every development in the plot is simultaneously baffling and yet completely predictable. The atmosphere is not helped by poorly written dialogue ostensibly inserted in the game by the developer, and idea that always sounds good on paper but never comes off as anything but silly in practice.
The jump scares are poorly done and, again, completely predictable save for one very original one which took me by surprise and is the only reason I bumped the score up a star.
The art direction is okay, if sometimes a little bland, but not as bland and unmemorable as the music, which managed to leave exactly no impression on me whatsoever.
The platforming is just as poor as on any mobile game, a problem exacerbated by the way too frequent ads after deaths.
Despite all that, I did manage to finish the game because I had a sneaking suspicion that there was more to it than this shoddy attempt at subtle horror, but unfortunately I was flat out wrong. Don’t waste your time.
TrustTeller,
I love this game.
I started playing this game when it first came out. I pre-ordered it, and i am so glad I did. I thought it would be a simple platformer, Mario like. I was blown away. The controls are hard to use, but I find that fun. This game has so much to do and the story is really good. I racked up hundreds of deaths, and it was worth it. The plot twist in the end is amazing. Everything turns a lot darker, and the game gets a bit strange. The horror aspect was right on point. You would get junpscared when you least expect it. This is a lot harder than the first game, and I liked it a lot more. There were some great puzzles in here, and I think every single person on here should get this game. It’s not just a boring app you forget to delete. I know I’ll be resetting it and playing again and again. What I got as a game to keep me satisfied on a 10 hour car ride kept me playing the whole time not even getting past the fourth level. I’d pay even more for this game.
batman the legend,
Interesting
This game consists of 6 levels all of which were lengthy and at the very least entertaining. While I did more or less enjoy the game play, graphics and music the game seemed to set a standard for the first level that it did not live up to. I hoped for a long adventure with many levels but instead went through a more or less tedious and uninteresting story. I know there are prequels but way the story is told and from what I understood it was not that interesting. I love the art and the music, the retro feel is clean and beautiful but the gravity the player feels does not live up to the graphics. The “scary” yandere is mor cheesy than anything. She was ugly and completely out of place, if she were pixelated or at least better animated she would’ve have made a better antagonist. There is so much potential in the art and music and gameplay but it’s held back by the story. The levels should have been split in half to better pace it. Love the aesthetic but not the content, overall I would still recommend this game.
