Description

'DERE EXE: Rebirth of Horror' is an immersive narrative horror-thriller using the interface of a normal puzzle platformer game with difficult obstacles and surprises.

'DERE EXE: Rebirth of Horror' is the terrifying chapter that precedes the events of the critically acclaimed DERE EVIL EXE, but presents itself with an entirely unique story, different characters, brand new game mechanics, and a standalone narrative that greatly sets it apart from its sequel.

With retro pixel art visuals, atmospheric music, and a surreal horror story that makes it a creepypasta come to life, the first major entry in the AppSir Games series delivers an unparalleled experience for newcomers to the franchise.

This game is not for the faint of heart. You were warned.

Kyronix,
Awesome and better than the first! [SPOILERS]
The story was improved greatly and the mechanics for even more complicated and interesting. This was everything I was looking for in a game and the jump scares were actually well thought out! Totally hope there will be a sequel to both the sequel and prequel. If there is any room for improvement, the plot seems to be abit confusing. Even with all the connecting games, Aide still doesn’t have much clarification, Kara seems to be all over the place with her plot, and overall in the next games it’s hard to tell what the deal is with Yanna and Myles and why they are where they are, and the conversation between the dev and the characters made the parts that were supposed to be terrifying way less so, (exception to nearing the end of this game). Other than that though, so far I have been very impressed and love these games! This has a lot of potential and with the awesome 8bit graphics, eerie soundtracks, and characters, I fell hard in love with this game and it’s prequels. Amazing job! I can’t wait to see you make more games!
Megax108,
Hard, fun, and a horror awesome ride
I got both games. And I played the prequel one, and let me tell you: it’s was hard, but so much fun that I keep on playing. The atmosphere is so well done, even on a phone, it looks like your phone is being hacked. The sound effect and the horror vibes are so good, I was caught of guard twice. The music and sounds were great. And the story, and it flows through each level and modifications: I loved it. This is a great game and I recommend people to get it. One thing that was annoying, was the left and right controls. For some reason I could never go left, until I pressed above both arrows and it work. So that was confusing and a bit annoying. But love your game guys, thank you for making this gem.
Mr.Tito Pyne,
Difficult, but fun
Was satisfying to beat, and the levels were more than just hard. The changing styles and effects made each level feel fresh and new. The lava part took me the longest to beat, but it became easy once you figure out how to beat it. The story wasn’t terrible either. Overall I think I liked the sequel better, however this was also a really great game and I am looking forwards to play more games by this developer.
Pokegirl197,
Awesome, but a bit difficult (that’s why it’s fun)
I finished dere evil exe and I saw it was part of a series. So far this game meets some pretty high standards for me, but I’m stuck on this one part. It’s near one of the first lava obstacles, where the cursive letter say “Set me free” and there is a rock. I have no idea what to do from here! But it’s an amazing game with very nice colors and an adorable little dude who makes the game a bit less scary (in a good way)
ThisMonkeyRap,
Really cool game, updates made it even cooler!
This is a pretty fun game which delivers some scares. Level 4, part 1 I guess you could say used to bug me for not really having any music and it just being really bland in general, but the update gave it a background and some cool music! Recommend it for people looking for a challenge.
iamnoahflores,
Fun but not as good as the first
I actually enjoyed this game, yet the first was a bit better. Although, level 4 or the one after that was frustrating, because of the jumping (which I know it was done on purpose), which added more anger because the obstacles were already hard.

P.S. to the players: I recommend playing The Last Yundere Visual Novel first, as some characters are brought back to here
Des the Broken Pony,
Great Game, needs better UI for controls
Despite a cool plot and creative platforms it constantly felt like I was fighting the controls to jump and move. That diagonal descent really messing up plat form timing and with the jump butting being so small and to the very bottom right of the screen a lot of my deaths came from being too focused on hitting the jump button rather than actually timing. Still great game!
Prime Roberts,
Good Game (that’s very hard), Better Twist
I have to say, this game was very good, although it was very hard for me. Plus, I had to play this game for like, 3 hours straight, starting before midnight of this very day (or at least starting yesterday, and then, today, right now). But hey, at least the ending was Great. So that’s why I’m giving this game a 8/10. I’ll give you a review on the sequel: DERE EVIL EXE, as soon as I’m finished through the game.
Former AB lover,
Amazing game, but difficult
I love this game and the first game but in this game in level 4 there is one part where you must knock down letters as a bridge but after that is a seemingly I dodge able saw-blade. The initial trick is hard to pull off but having to do it over and over again just to try different jumps to avoid the saw blade is agonizing
Aymeezus,
Movements
This game is awesome but one thing that sets it off is the movement of the character. When jumping and and moving at the same time you keep going forward. Its impossible to stop in the middle because if you try going back it keeps going back.
