Excellent App!!
I love this app! Easy to use/user friendly, great features like crash notifications to next of kin/emergency contacts, notifies friends when you are out riding so they can track your live progress and position (if it is turned on), and automatically pauses the ride when you’re sitting at a light or stop somewhere, so it is only tracking actual ride time and statistics. Lets you save routes and rides, and gives you a ton of information about your speed, elevation, acceleration, etc. Great concept for an app and would definitely recommend!

It’s great when it works, but it’s buggy and frustrating
I’ve used this app with great success around the house on shorter trips. I finally took a longer trip to the mountains and this app let me down every time I used it. On the way up it closed after a rest stop and I didn’t notice and got way off course. I’ll put this on the phone for closing the app but my phone has never closed it like this before. The next day I had a great round trip planned and after less than 10 minutes it added unreachable waypoints that caused the navigation to run in circles. This effectively ruined the planned route since you can’t bypass waypoints. I never got more than 15 minutes or so without it doing this and since I had no idea where I was I’d have to stop and try again. I started picking destinations without waypoints and it seemed to help but it would put me on roads no street oriented bike should ever go on, creating some stressful and unpleasant situations. I’ve lost all faith in this app’s ability to get me where I want to go and have canceled my premium subscription since the extra features aren’t worth the money. On the way home I used Google maps which worked flawlessly even in areas where Detecht had problems.

Working features
I downloaded the app I selected miles in settings and was showing kilometers and at that time I was unable to go back into settings to change it to miles.
After a small glitch the app has been updated and working as intended and I cannot wait to use it again!
The software company personally contacted me in a very short time to resolve my problem. VERY VERY Impressed with the way my issues was handled. I would highly recommend this app and any app that this company produces. They stood behind their product!

Pro or Not
I have used this app for about a month and it is great recording rides. I really like the addition of the crash alarm, can’t say if it actually works (I will assume that’s good news, haven’t crashed yet) but the simulation alarm worked great.
Haven’t used the navigation portion yet, still using maps for that but it appears to be user friendly.
Haven’t really considered PRO yet don’t have a reason too.
Why did I give it five stars then, for what I use it for, recording rides and the ability to have a potential crash alarm to warn someone “pimp down”. I like it!

**Updated** No option changes no email support
“I downloaded the app and setup the profile. I selected the distance calculations for miles but the the app selected kilometers instead. There is no way in the app to change it. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but it retains the profile. I tried to contact support with the email they provided but the email address doesn’t work.”
I was contacted by Detecht through the Apple App Store in a timely manner and they have updated me with a fix. I was able to install the fix with now issue is resolved. Thank you Detecht team.

Love the stats!
I’ve been using this app with the premium subscription for about 2 years and I love it. Getting to see your riding stats is my favorite feature now that your ride will automatically pause. The one feature that makes this app stand out is the crash detection. Knowing that if you go down and you’re alone, a call will be made, is a major plus in my book. The social media aspect is fun, but I live in a smaller city so there aren’t to many local people on it yet.

Excellent App!
I know first hand the crash detection works when I flipped my dirt bike last month by the time I got off the ground and picked my bike up it had made a noise then vibrated and when I looked at the screen it was dialing my wife. I had 30 seconds left on a count down when I looked at it and canceled. Then reported on the app a minor wreck! I love this app for making routes while I’m sitting at work then driving them when I get off and seeing some roads I’ve never been down before.

Don’t ride without it
I’ve been using Detecht for about a year now and I don’t start a ride without it. The maps, gps speedometer, and crash alarm are enough to keep me using it. There is much more to the app, though, with a ton of potential. I’ve only just started using the social aspect and it’s fun to see the what the motorcycling community is up to across the world.
My wife loves the app, knowing she’ll get notified if I happen to go down. No more wondering if I’m okay.

Great app
I am not a big social media person, but this app is pretty cool. The best feature is the family tracking. This helps in case the worst thing happens to you. At the very least someone will know where you are. This feature alone is worth the upgraded price.
The other thing, all the cool bikes you get to see from around the world. I am very new to riding but it’s nice to see everyone enjoys being on a bike. Throttle therapy is an outstanding thing.

App works better than the Harley app.
App works great and even finds you the best routes without highways. One thing I would add is, the famous American roads. For example, if we could type in Route 66 and it would map out the entire still drivable portion of it. Or the tail of the dragon in Tennessee. There are a lot of great roads with nicknames that are famous that would be nice to be able to search up. It would be even better if it would recommend it by riding experience level.
