Tmwolfe,
Really need some support/how-to videos!
The app is pretty interesting when you’re linking it to your motorcycle, however, there are a ton of features in the app that are not intuitive at all. For example, trying to plan a ride, group ride, or sharing things with the “community” leave me and others I shared them with, with more questions than answers.

Broke iPad version even worse
Each update takes away something else. This time, I saw a ‘Upgrade to Ride Command +’, menu item pop up then disappear, which explains it.

This version improved the iPhone a little by showing correct dashboard values instead of miles in the millions. The iPad version no longer shows anything. Ride Command on the bike and the Ride Command app were a couple of the selling points that convinced me to get a Roadmaster, but both have been disappointing. Ride Command on the bike is terribly buggy and the app is nearly useless. The developers need to understand that users want to use the app to support their riding by making and managing routes. There aren’t any users impressed by being able to check the odometer, fuel level or tire pressure by phone. I was terribly disappointed to find that the promises of the app with my premium motorcycle amounts to really nothing but a few values from my dashboard. I installed the app after buying the motorcycle—I didn’t get the app, then go get a motorcycle to match it. Forget about retrieving values from the odometer, fuel gauge or TPMS; I won’t check those on the app while I’m riding the motorcycle, and I don’t need to check them while I’m not riding. Instead, put in some decent features: -route creation and management -better waypoint creation -import/export of .gpx -allow landscape orientation on iPad The only reason this app is still on my devices is that I’m hoping a future version will have value.

Great App
Indian has done well upgrading this app! You can now log into Ride Command on your computer, and plot out a route. Then Bluetooth the route directly to the bike! This works very well. Make sure you update the latest firmware on the bike, and add the app to your phone. It works well syncing to your iPhone! Also, add many way points to take the roads you want to ride on, so the navigation software doesn’t vary from your route! I entered several planned routes with many way points and they all take the roads I entered. Thank you Indian for finally getting this right!
One Ohm,
Can’t add places or search by GPS coordinates
The search for places seems really basic. Cities I know exist don’t show up at all. I also can’t enter a GPS (lat, long) at all. That is sort of the point of a place! Overall I think the app has a lot of potential. I like recording my rides, and the flyover is neat. When planning I typically have a list of places I want to go (gps coordinates). I want a way to determine a best route for them.
Charlestt1,
Nearly pointless
This app is almost completely useless. The biggest selling point of the new Chief was a built in GPS. However the only feature the app needed to offer was to enter an address and start directions. YOU CANT DO THAT! Sure you can pick suggested rides, add set locations or see some current ride info but you literally can’t get texted an address, copy the address and start gps. Instead you have save it as a set place. At this point I am going to just mount my phone to the handlebars again … on a bike with navigation built in
Indian Issues,
Worthless!
I spent a tremendous amount of time and money on this ride command for my 2020 Indian Challenger. It is a complete mess and practically of no use bc of its software problems. Not only did I spend a lot on the system but installation as well. I’ve spent hours working with my dealer and Polaris and they can’t seem to get it working properly. They say many people have this problem. How about you stop the selling product until you can get it worked out, so future customers don’t go through the frustration I am?! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY UNTIL THEY CAN GUARANTEE IT WORKS WITHOUT ANY ISSUES!
Benny5579,
No stats on main page
All it says is “Pair your bike with Bluetooth to see vehicle data” and has not worked from day 1.

Very disappointed overall. The RZR RideCommand is far superior, it records tracks on power on, the Indian version does not. This doesn’t support WiFi, the RZR does. It seems buggy, driving at night it randomly will go to daytime mode and blind the rider, a good way for an accident.

It seems like the Indian version of RideCommand was a fork by developers and forgotten since updates are rare. CarPlay is nice but I paid another $99 for a wireless CarPlay adapter.

I want this to work but for me but it just doesn’t. I hope they spend more developer time fixing this app and the Indian RC in general. I had high hopes but so far am underwhelmed.
Hijinx1812,
Not fully functional
I had high hopes for this app when I got my 2022 Chief, but it won’t sync with the bike. I’ve tried syncing via Bluetooth and usb and no luck with either. The only reason I didn’t give it one star is because it does have some useful info in the app itself based on my VIN that I manually entered (vehicle specs, owner manual, nearest dealership, etc). Polaris really dropped the ball on this app & I hope they get the bugs worked out!
Quintal of fish,
Problems.
The app was already cumbersome and intuitive. Difficulty to plan rides and kind of useless to share or find activities in my area. But at leas true bike stats worked. ….. until the last update and now service history doesn’t sync. So even though on my bike it says I am not due on the app it does. It looks like my service history as been lost and I cannot reregistered service. Please please please fix this.

The bike itself is fantastic.
BMattioli,
Will not recognize that my phone is paired
I’ve tried every conceivable way to pair this app on an iPhone X with my 2019 FTR 1200S, and it will not recognize the bike in the app. I can pair the bike with my phone, calls and texts show up on my gauge screen while I’m riding, and it even shows a little phone with status bars on my bike’s screen at startup! Still, the app says “pair with your bike to see vehicle data”. My motorcycle will not talk to this app. I guess I’ll wait for an update and try again then. 🤷🏻‍♂️
