Description

Cook your own meals and keep track of recipes, calories and macronutrients. Enter the items you often eat—snacks or full meals. Add information as needed: just calories, or a complete recipe with ingredients and instructions. You can even export all your recipes to create your own PDF cookbook for safekeeping! —and you can share individual recipes with family and friends via PDF.

• Keep track of calories and macronutrients on a daily basis.
• Set a calorie limit, for example for the 5:2 fast diet, or other intermittent fasting.
• Balance carbohydrates, protein, and fat throughout the day, or at every meal.

Features:
• A small builtin database has most common food items, and you can easily add foods to the database if needed.
• Calculate calories, proteins, carbs, and fats.
• Set targets for macro nutrient ratios and let Diet Counts help you meet those targets.
• Store your favorite foods, whether a simple snack or a full meal, so you can easily count whenever you eat it again.
• Add a picture of your meal and avoid having to measure the next time: the picture shows the portion size.
• Enter your own recipes, with ingredients, amounts, and step-by-step instructions. Use it as your personal cookbook, and Diet Counts will calculate nutrient content based on the ingredients you specify.
• Create a PDF book with all your recipes.
• Share your recipes with others via email or AirDrop.
• Record measurements of body weight, neck, waist, and hip size.
• Check the journal to see your diet history and progress on weight and body size.
• Setup rewards for yourself to celebrate your achievements.
• Health app integration: When you add food consumptions, or log body measurements in the journal, Diet Counts can share that information with the Health app (proteins, carb, fat, body weight, etc).

2.0.1
2015-06-01
Several bug fixes as well as new and updated ingredients.

2.0:
• Calculate calories from ingredients: Just as in earlier versions you can enter the calories for an entire meal, but now you also have the option to enter the ingredients and let 5:2 Buddy add it all up.
• Builtin and custom ingredients: The app comes with a small food database. We will continually add to this builtin database, but you can also add your own ingredients. Mark ingredients as favorite to have them show up at the top, when searching for an ingredient.
• Fill up! : Let’s say you have 45 calories left for the day and want to spend it all on almonds — but how many? A few taps to select almonds by the piece, then tap "Fill up!” and you have the answer, ready to add to your calorie count.
• Portion size selector: If the regular meal portion size does not fit this time, then use the portion size button to quickly select a different portion size.
• User interface improvements: Landscape mode on the iPad is now supported. Better layout of the meal editor. New higher resolution icons for iOS 8 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
• More…: Check out the “More” tab! Among other things you will find ways to edit and add to the food database, and to control which food collections are active. For example, if you're vegetarian you might want to exclude the meats collection. Here you can also mark your favorite ingredients or hide those ingredients that you never use. You'll find a quick way to send us an email, so you can tell us what you like, dislike, and what you would like to see in version 3!

Unusable Eggs 1 Cup
This app is not really usable. It might be a good platform for a programmer. There is an entry for Egg. 1c not many people I know measure eggs in this fashion. A programmer could build some type on link to a real food database. $0.99 down the drain. Please use my buck to learn better app building skills.
