• Calculate calories from ingredients: Just as in earlier versions you can enter the calories for an entire meal, but now you also have the option to enter the ingredients and let 5:2 Buddy add it all up.
• Builtin and custom ingredients: The app comes with a small food database. We will continually add to this builtin database, but you can also add your own ingredients. Mark ingredients as favorite to have them show up at the top, when searching for an ingredient.
• Fill up! : Let’s say you have 45 calories left for the day and want to spend it all on almonds — but how many? A few taps to select almonds by the piece, then tap "Fill up!” and you have the answer, ready to add to your calorie count.
• Portion size selector: If the regular meal portion size does not fit this time, then use the portion size button to quickly select a different portion size.
• User interface improvements: Landscape mode on the iPad is now supported. Better layout of the meal editor. New higher resolution icons for iOS 8 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
• More…: Check out the “More” tab! Among other things you will find ways to edit and add to the food database, and to control which food collections are active. For example, if you're vegetarian you might want to exclude the meats collection. Here you can also mark your favorite ingredients or hide those ingredients that you never use. You'll find a quick way to send us an email, so you can tell us what you like, dislike, and what you would like to see in version 3!

• Track weight and waist: You can now add weight and waist measures to the journal.
• Picture zoom: Tap on the meal picture to see it full size, or zoom in further, to better see portion sizes.

• Sort options: Sort the meals by calories, name, or category.
