BadServo,
Easily the best DA browsing option for iPad
For reasons unknown, the official DA app would instantly crash on launch, leading me to search for a more stable option. DNArt is the perfect solution. It’s snappy, responsive, and intuitive once you get the hang of it’s interface.

My sole complaint (and the thing that keeps me from using it more than I do) is the lack of a Dark mode theme. I’m an insomniac, and most commonly use my iPad in bed. Dark mode apps insure I can browse without disturbing the missus with a bright white background.
DGP-G,
Good Dev Support
When I first used this app, there was not yet the ability to zoom on images, which was a feature essential to my user experience.

After mentioning it in a review, I had one of the fastest responses and feature updates that I've seen.

Nicest feature:

In-App mature content setting. Apple's TOS means you need to change the desktop website setting to see mature content at all, but it's really nice after that to be able to switch it off and back on again from within the app. A+ implementation.

Current worst issue:

The browsing focus when scrolling through thumbnails and swiping through images is not synced. If you click on a thumbnail, swipe through 20 pictures, and then go back to the thumbnail view, you'll be back where you started.

I believe that image load times are better on DNArt than with the official DeviantArt App, and I don't know
how much of that has to do with loading the thumbnails in the background. I still think the user experience would be better with synced browsing, though.
Ygkggff,
Good, but could use some improvements
I like this app a lot, and I use it over the DeviantArt app. But while using this app, I’ve noticed some issues that impact the experience. Somewhat frequently I’ve experienced media posts refusing to load, failing to load, and even crashing the app.
Also, none of the text posts load anything more than probably the first paragraph.
About once every couple of minutes, the app gives a network error when loading a page or loading posts when scrolling, prompting to retry.

While the ads aren’t nearly as in my face as other apps, the remove ads option doesn’t seem to work. When I select remove ads, it doesn’t show a price, only Loading. And the option to subscribe doesn’t work, only gives an error.

And one feature that would be great to have, and maybe even necessary for some, is the option to clear the cache. After a while of using this app, I noticed that the size of the documents and data had reached 1.5GB. The only way I’ve found to reduce it was to delete the app and reinstall it.
Office games lover,
Long time user
I’ve been a long time user of this app. Several years now. At first there were no ads. It was great. Then ads started appearing here and there when you’d click on an art piece. It wasn’t too bad. Lately though the ad drops have increased to a point where I actually hesitate to even use the app. Sometimes I do avoid it to spare myself the frustration. I miss the old days. Even the days when the ads were much less frequent than they are today were still better than now. If not for the uptick in ad frequency, I’d have given this app a solid 4 or 5 stars. I miss the earlier DNArt.

Favorites/fix
This app is honestly very great the only complaint I have is that when looking at my favorites it only shows the featured, but there is no all portion for favorites so I’m unable to see all of my favorites.

Edit: this problem appears to have been fixed and it was very quickly after I made the review 10/10 developer response.
Jubbly_,
Fantastic App
Works very well, makes browsing DA a breeze on mobile. Recently made the switch from browser and it’s great

One thing id would like to see implemented would be proper support for literature.
Currently it cuts off all literature at a point so if this could be changed that would be stellar.
TheBetterPJ,
Uh, something is happening
I’ve been using this app for a while and I thought it was awesome, but since the last update, I can no longer see the titles of things and can barely read the information about pieces. Idk, all of the words have turned white, like there’s some kind of dark mode happening, but the backgrounds are also white. It’d be one thing if it was just hard to read, but it also hurts my eyes to look at
Morac,
Category searching doesn’t work
I just downloaded the app and one of the search features touted doesn’t work. There are no content categories listed. The only one is “all”.

Also trying to favorite something doesn’t let me select which folder to put it in. It looks like it’s asking for a group, but the choice isn’t visible.

Other than that it seems okay. I’d like to see a slideshow option though.
fullmoon119,
Very nice and simple
Really nice app! Much better than the official app, or trying to use DA's buggy mobile site.

The only thing I was disappointed with was being unable to search for collections. Also, it has crashed a few times for me. Idk what causes it.

Edit: I have actually found that browsing gifs causes the app to crash often :/
Austin Colsant,
Buttons not working
On my version of the app after the latest update some of the buttons stopped working and now I can search and I can see the people I follow's creations. Please fix sooner than later. I love the app before except for the constant crashing.
