Tsetsoh,
Great App - needs “Reordered” reminder
I have been using this app for several years. After trying multiple apps this one is the best that I have found.

The alerts for taking a dose is a must have feature, but I particularly like that I can maintain my complete prescription inventory in this app. It keeps track of dose-count and tells me when I am running low. However there is one feature lacking.

• I’ve asked the developer to add a feature that reminds me when I have “Reordered” a refill that is “Running low.” That way when I have multiple meds telling me that I’m running low it also tells me which of those have been reordered for refill.
Glow-3,
DOSECAST
Dosecast: “Life” kept my attention so rivited to do things that I “must do”that I sometimes forgot my own needs for taking the medication that I had been instructed was necessary...not just to take them, but at specific times so that my blood level would remain constant. I found that virtually impossible to do. There were too many other things, such as being care-giver for my husband. Try as I might I could not remember to take my pills properly, and I got away with it for a period of time… until I suddenly popped a clot one of my kidneys destroying half of that kidney. I ended up in the ER and then was admitted to the hospital. I learned a very expensive lesson that day. And then my sons suggested Dosecast which would remind me, via my cell phone,to take my pills throughout the day. I found it to be a miracle worker. No more worries about whether or not I took a pill and forgot it or to take the pill in the first place. This one is a no-brainer. It is either live with Dosecast or gamble with the alternative without it. I am so fortunate that that clot went to my kidney, and NOT to my brain, causing a stroke...or worse.
Deannars22,
This useful app is a necessity in my life.
This is my first ever app review. I’m not usually one to take the time to leave a review, but I’ve had this app for years and I’ve decided to leave a review because it has become so important to my life and general wellbeing. I have several health problems that I need to take medication for at regular intervals, and I have the attention span of a goldfish. With my medications, missing a dose by even 30 minutes can mean the end of my productivity for the day. This app does everything I need it to do without ads or having unnecessary options that overwhelm and detract from the main purpose. I set it to remind me to take a medication at set time intervals, a secondary reminder in case I miss the first, and limit on daily doses. That’s all I need and this app does it perfectly. Thank you to the developer for creating and maintaining this app and for keeping it free without all the ads that so many other apps have.
_KEM_,
BEST IN CLASS APP
I have a large medication profile that includes several complex SIGs that no other medication tracking app can handle? I have used Dosecast for 5+ years and during that time I have downloaded and purchased when necessary every other med tracking app in the app store. None of them offer the flexibility that Dosecast does.

Without Dosecast I could not track my medications perfectly, if you have a large and/or complex med profile I strongly recommend you try Dosecast.

The only issue I've ever had is with syncing between devices but support recently helped me understand the issue and resolve it. With that issue having been resolved for me I am changing my review back to 5 stars since the sync issue I was having was the only reason I had changed my review to 4 stars.
King & I,
Stopped syncing between iPhone and iPad
Happy to return and update review back to 5 stars. The folks at Dosecast have worked out the bug, and now it works perfectly - actually syncs between iPhone and iPad. They were prompt in responding to let me know the problem was on their end, and they were working to correct it.

GOOD JOB & THANKS, DOSECAST!!

Previously:I’ve reported this problem weeks ago and haven’t heard back, so between this bug and crickets from support I sadly have to rate this previously wonderful 5-star app, I’ve used for years, with 1 star for unreliable. I get some “our server” error drop down when I attempt a forced sync.
GeekBill,
Good App, Cloud Sync stopped working
We’ve used Dosecast successfully for many years. It has the best scheduling options, including both “time scheduled” and “interval” based, (i.e. every 5 hours). It allows you to turn or off things like early dose warnings. It allows you to attach photo of your med. it works great with my Apple Watch. I wish Dosecast would let you hide the reminder pop up window rather than forcing you to “take”, “skip”, or “postpone”. Then we could see which other meds are upcoming.

UPDATE 5/2/22 - The Cloud Sync option stopped working a couple weeks ago and I’ve had no response from the developer. This is crucial so I can help my wife monitor her many meds. I’m reluctantly evaluating other apps to replace this one.
Jiles Bishop,
Multi Year Review
3+ year user. Dosecast is super flexible. It allows for multi takes of the same drug. Love the postpone when away from medications. Set it however long you like and it will remind you then. Love the ability to photograph the pill and attach it to the reminder. The one thing I wish it would do is allow greater flexibility in assigning sounds to alarms. I’m hearing impaired and have “loud” sounds for when I have my hearing aids out.
I’ve tried a few different apps but this one wins out. If you need reminders to take medications this is the app for you.
amphibia,
Simple, functional, very helpful
You’d think a thing like dosing reminders for medication would be easy, and something you could do well with just a regular repeat alarm setting, but you’d be wrong. This handy little app prompts you to log the dose & when you *actually* took it, so that your next dose is auto updated with that informing it’s time & amount. Illness messes with your thoughts & memory sometimes- this made my flu meds so much easier, and kept me from taking too much or too little or at the wrong time. Great little app!
repsac3,
Does everything I need it to do
I was looking for a drug reminder app that allowed me to set an interval between doses (8 hours from last dose, or every 3 days), as well as time-based doses (everyday at 8am), and as-needed doses (Advil, Pepto, etc). I don’t know if there are any other apps that let you do this now—since I found Dosecast, I’ve never looked for another—but at the time, it was the only app that did, and through several devices, it’s never let me down... I do wish the subscription price was a little lower, but it definitely is worth the cost...
NorthDakota999,
Great App!
I used this app for a few years, then stopped using it when I upgraded my phone. I learned the hard way what happens when my vitamins and medications aren't taken on a schedule, ending up in a life-threatening situation (medication-induced thyroid storm from too much thyroid hormone and too little potassium).

I am pleasantly surprised with the upgrades since last year. It's even better! They've added the option to add pictures (especially great for vitamins; I put next to a ruler), and now you can link to the pharmacy and doctor from your contact list.

Other features for those new to it are the history, and you can email it. I like this when I visit my doctor to discuss changes, or how I could improve absorption of vitamins, etc.

I swear - I am a real person who is thankful to be alive. This app is an important tool for my future! I'll never stop using it again!!!
