Great App!!!

When the app I was using to track my meds for the past several years became unavailable, I spent a few months trying to find a new app. I don’t think there are to many med tracking apps I haven’t tried but none of them worked the way I needed them to work until I found EveryDose. I found that over half of the apps I tried didn’t support “as needed” meds and if they did, they didn’t work the way I wanted them to work. With EveryDose I can keep track of the meds I have to take every day and I can track “as needed”, being able to change the quantity, the time, or even “untake” something if I put it in by mistake. One evening I was tracking my meds and a few seconds after I checked them off, they went back to not taken. After several tries and turning my phone off and on I realized the problem was probably not on my end so I went to help and support in the app and emailed the apps writers and told them my problem. A very short time later I was surprised because their support team got in touch with me and they got the problem fixed that night. I was so happy and relieved that I wouldn’t have to try and find another app that did what I wanted it to do. Thanks so much for creating this app and for the very fast support I received when I had a problem. I recommend this app to everyone taking meds and keeping track of them, but also for anyone taking “as needed” meds. Thanks, Ginny Magee

A reliable tool & incredible service

I have used EveryDose for about a year now. It has been a daily tool to track medications. The cross-check of medication interactions and potential side effects are very helpful. Over the course of the year, I had experienced two harmless, but annoying notification errors. I reached out to the support team and Andrew responded very quickly both times. Seriously, it was within an hour of my submission. With a couple steps to submit some diagnostic data, Andrew followed up and thanked me for reporting the bug and they released an update with fixes in a short period of time. Even though iOS now has medication tracking in the Health App, I still use EveryDose every day. Thanks to Andrew and team for caring about your users and continuing to improve an App that I have recommended to friends and family numerous times. Great customer service is a rare experience today. I highly recommend EveryDose.

Good but not perfect

I installed this app for its ability to sync between multiple devices. It does that well and does the basic job of tracking meds well, but lacks certain features for people with non routine med regimens. Overall I would give this app 4.5 stars if I could, just can’t quite give it 5.

Originally I experienced a bug when setting a late “take” time, but to their credit the developers saw my complaint and promptly fixed the issue. A minor annoyance - if you miss the notification to take a group of pills together there’s no way to do it later; you have to enter each med individually. So don’t skip or cancel a group notification.

My wife is on long term pain meds which need to be taken no sooner than every so many hours apart but can be stretched out if her pain level allows. She also has to monitor not taking too many pain meds in a 24 hour time period. This app doesn’t support those needs. Her current app, Dosecast, does. On the other hand Dosecast requires a “premium” ($28/yr) subscription to sync between devices while this app is free.

Great app with a few things I’d like to see

I recently started using this app and am finding it very convenient. One change I’d like to see, though, is more of an accent on as-needed medications. When I open the app, there’s a nice big check mark next to scheduled meds I’ve taken, so I can see at a glance that I took them. But I really have to look to see when I last took, say, ibuprofen, which is not scheduled. Maybe a check mark there as well? Or change the background color behind that medicine. Or, perhaps best, move it up to a “meds taken today” section. (Another reminder app has a feature that shows a countdown from the last time you took an as-needed med. that’s a very nice feature.)

A widget would be nice. Watch integration would be nice. And a more appealing app icon would be very nice (sorry), because this one makes me not want to have it on my phone screen. Thanks for the great little app!

Very useful- has some quirks-I like it!

I like it because it is easy to use. I like being reminded. I use it in conjunction with a large daily pillbox. It does not work well when you have a medication that you are only taking for one week. asked for dates start and stop it’s still keeps the medication in your daily reminder though the time has passed.I also like it because it has a support system. You can send an email with your questions about how it works and they will respond to you rather quickly.I’m sending a note to the support team now because I need to delete some medications that I am no longer taking. I like that aspect of this software app.

HATE IT ! ! !

Repeated notifications CONTINUE after you have confirmed taking the scheduled medication… PLUS the “Maxwell” drug interactions function CONTINUES to to display interaction “critical” alerts with no way to stop it … I reviewed with my doctors & pharmacy and both indicated the “Maxwell” notifications were incorrect… the critical alerts get more demanding… I HATE THIS APP ! ! !

I was contacted by the developers complaining I was wrong about maxwell repeated notifications “red labeled” (critical) about interactions … well it does !!!

I’m on a transplant list so my doctors monitor my adherence to prescribed medications and want me to us a medication taking documentation app. … and I checked with both my doctors and pharmacist about the “prescribed” medications and they both indicated there was NO CONCERN. THE MOST FRUSTRATING thing the app does is display notifications you HAVE NOT TAKEN medications and when you check they medications are all checked off. AND the app sync meds between iPhone and iPad but DOES NOT SYNC BETWEEN iPhone and iPad the medications have been checked off as having been taken. … I repeat … I HATE IT ! ! !

NOT QUITE

1 I want all of my devices to sync with my meds. So if I forget to charge one device there is backup. If a device is misplaced or out for repair info is still available. 2. I want meds that I have taken to be out of sight. When the app is opened it presents me with yesterdays list even if I have taken all my meds. When I get todays list even in the evening I get the morning list. I take more meds than will fit on a screen. It would be nice to only present meds I have not yet taken in that time slot unless I choose the complete list. 3. Time slots are too strict. I would like the option to select a window of time that suits me, +- 1.5 hours for example. 4. I would like a simpler way of adding meds.

The response from support was so, thoughtful and respectful it makes me confident that changes will be seriously considered.

3 star…..So far!

Nice app, but it takes some used to getting accustomed to using as directions are sparse or nonexistent. Adding medications and time for dose is more or less intuitive. Changing times for individual medications can be a challenge. The information for individual drugs simple but should not be substituted for instruction sheets and consultation with your Pharmacist. The ancillary directions for full/empty stomach, with/without 8-12oz of water, suggestions to take/not take with other medications, are inadequate to say the least. I make my statements for the administration to make adequate changes in the instructions and make this a superb app for me to suggest it to patients in my practice as a Pharmacist!
I have contacted the developer with, I hope, credible suggestions. This app could could be, with some tweaking, a superb, worthwhile app.

Best easy to use complete med reminder

Over my passed surgeries I’ve used several different med reminder apps, but none better than this one. It’s easy to schedule many different meds at many different times through the day. Also, easy to shift around times as conditions need to change, and the option to skip a med. when entering the med to your list there are instruction option to remind you how to take the med. This app even provides medication information and alerts about combining certain meds. This is the most easy, flexible, helpful and informative med reminder app I’ve come across.

Good, but experiencing a bug

The app is good. It’s simple, does what it’s supposed to, and has never failed to remind me to take my meds.

However, it will sometimes continue to notify me to take my medication after I have already logged it in the app. This usually happens when I log my dose after tapping the notification rather than going to the app from my Home Screen. This is potentially dangerous for me, as I don’t have the best short term memory. So, this could lead me to accidentally take my medication twice when I don’t need to.

I love the app, but I shouldn’t have to double check if I’ve already logged my medication when I continue to get reminders. Hoping this can get fixed!
