DrChrono Patient Check-In Hack 3.3.6 + Redeem Codes

I suspect all the reviews for this poorly constructed app have been solicited by the company. I've used drchrono for one year now, and although the main app has improved substantially, there are still quite a few problems, and the registration app still really offers very little to a physician practice.

You still cannot upload your own practice forms, as pdfs, and obtain signatures. The app simply allows you to create an endless list of fields that a patient can type in. The information shows up as an endless list as well, in the demographics tab.

If you'd like the patient to complete the information at home--good luck. Access is confusing and only works on specific platforms (no Firefox). Often, data submission fails in the final step. Half of my patients fail to successfully log in and finish.

A far better patient form and check-in app is from Zoc Doc. 100% success rate from patients, and an alert when the forms have been completed, with form printout options. And the forms have check-boxes, are attractively designed, and have all the fields I need.

I've reported numerous problems with the drchrono check-in app for months, with nothing but promises from the company to make improvements, and so far, I've seen virtually no change.

You need to make On Patient a web portal instead of assuming that patients are going to have a half hour in the office, all of their meds and relevant info on hand, and that the receptionist is going to have an iPad for everyone. It would make so much more sense for this to be an app/web page that patients could log in to on their iPad or computer from home so they can have the time, relevant info and it can save my office the time to do more than just manage the On Patient (procedure) that my receptionist is supposed to perform.
After speaking with customer service back in March, when I signed up, they said it would be an available feature by July... Would really like to see this happen soon because I have had to send the info to my patients as a pdf to print off at home and then bring in (so I can quickly scan over it during the office visit) and then spend an hour entering it into the EHR later that night. This one feature would make my entire practice so much more manageable. Please, please, please make this a priority.

I just downloaded this app because I wanted an online intake form for my massage therapy practice to save paper. In the 15 minutes I've been trying to set up the app and figure it out, it keeps crashing repeatedly. It's not very user friendly at all. I definitely can't use this if it's going to crash while a client is filling out their information, that would look very unprofessional. I hope they improve this soon, because I would love to be able to use something online for intake forms.

I was introduced to this as a patient in great pain waiting to see the endodontist for the first treatment in a root canal. Trying to talk to someone or fill out paperwork would have been excruciating. This made my visit so much easier. While filling out fields, spelling was suggested. On many items, all I had to do was touch the stylus to the iPad screen.

On return visits, updating my information was so fast. And there was no standing in line if several people arrived at the same time while the receptionist checked to be sure that all my information was accurate.

Current photo IDs required by insurance companies are quite easy. Add a photo to the file of your patient with the camera of your iPad.

As for the staff, I have no idea how many people-hours per day are spent trying to decipher the bad handwriting of patients, especially when they don't feel well. And my daughter tells me that handwriting is being discontinued as a subject in schools. In a few short years, we will have no option but to go to apps like this one. So check it out and see what you think.

One of the things I hate about going to a new doctors office is filling out that clipboard on the first visit. They usually have 5 or six pages worth of information to gather. Now with OnPatient, it doesn't even seem like work. You get to take your own picture, fill out the information in a easy to use and read page on the iPad, and even see what medications and problems are logged in your chart. If you see an error, simply writhe the note down in the app and the Doc can update your records. Even the HIPAA form can be signed right on the iPad!

The doctors drchrono user name and password works right away, there is no account creation. Just download and begin using!

We have been using this app in our very fast paced laser clinics for 4 months, and have found the support team to be extremely deserving of five stars. They are the best. This new version is quicker and more responsive than the earlier version. The concept and interface are solid, but is not totally with out bugs so I've rated it a 4. We have experienced some failure to load patient appointments, somewhat resolved by refreshing, rebooting or reinstalling the ap. This company is clearly the future of medical records and is very responsive to all of our needs and requests, we expect things to only get better.

I started using their free EMR last year and have been really impressed with how much time it's saves us. This app specifically for onboarding is no different - a big time saver when bringing in new patients.

I'm also really excited to see patient reaction to the new feature that allows them to fill out forms before coming in. We expect this will be a big benefit over other practices here in the city.

I had yet to find a way to eliminate paper in my office until I came across drchrono. They are one of the few EHRs to offer paperless intake and it's such a user-friendly app. My patients love not having to fill out the same information every time they come in and it makes me seem like a more modern physician that they would want to keep coming back to.

This is a great check in app for patients and front office staff! It eliminates having to read difficult handwriting and allows for the front office to quickly update any information that may have changed. Great training for the staff to understand how to use this system.

It works especially well if your patients all use onpatient, but even without it, this app makes the normally tedious checkin process totally automated, saving the receptionist what used to take him several hours a day of manually entering in paper forms.
