Ducati Connect Hack 2.19.2 + Redeem Codes

The whole world understands Google maps and CarPlay. Ducati chose to go exclusively with Bosch, requiring a subscription for simple things like speed limits, in an extremely clunky set up over wifi that fails frequently unless you leave your ohone wide open, unlocked always. This is a massive hack, not to mention security risk, a super clunky solution and well beneath what anyone buying even a cheap car now a days would expect ... let alone on the top of the line touring bike from Ducati.

Total #Fail Ducati. Disappointed.

The only reason i gave it 2 stars not 1, is because if you fight with it enough, do all the stupid and insecure things it says to do, and do not stray off the path, it can work. But, come on! I expect more for a top of the line Multistrada navigation solution in 2021. Poor showing.

I’m extremely happy with my new V4s just as I’ve always been with any Ducati I’ve owned. When I ride I like to focus on the road and not be distracted with crap like phones, apps, and GPS devices. The Sygic app has frozen up on me 3 of the 4 times I’ve used it. Having to have my phone unlocked with two apps running seems pretty pointless to me. The display on the Multistrada V4s is absolutely beautiful but these apps basically make it useless. I know this is new software and hopefully it’ll get better in time but for now I’ll stick with my iPhone, Waze, and Garmin Zumo. None of those are perfect either but at least when I use them I don’t become so enraged that I contemplate riding my bike into a tree. This is too expensive of a bike to have to deal with things like this especially when cars that cost less than this bike have CarPlay. I don’t understand how Ducati could incorporate radar into this bike and not CarPlay. I was also disappointed to learn that I was sold a bike that had an engine replacement do to recall. It would have been nice to have been informed before I purchased. I would have waited.

Like many if not all other reviewers App Store, the app (and Ducati’s general multimedia strategy) is far more problematic than it is useful. It’s decision to go with a bit player third-party non-integrated navigation provider, its complexity, inconsistent reliance on taking over your entire phone, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth while in use, etc., make this app extremely cumbersome and so unreliable that it is absolutely more of a hindrance than useful.

I figured using this was going to be absolute garbage. As it turns out the nav is functional enough once you do the very silly connection dance and I’m glad it has default offline maps.

Needing to leave the phone on is pretty jank but likely a limitation from apple/Google. Low power popups when the phone hits 10% cause the navigation to freeze without any indication on the dash, which is suboptimal.

It’s a bit mystifying why Ducati went with this over CarPlay. Would love to hear why they think Bosch MySpin (which this is a reskin of AFAIK?) is better than the platform native auto integrations.

It definately takes time to setup properly and get it to work with youre specific phone and headset(s). But once its working, its pretty convienant. I find I can’t get music songs to roll from one song to the next using the ducati connect menu. However, I can get it all to work if I first start the music from the main music function in settings. After that i can go into ducati connect menu suite without issue.

Would give this app zero stars if possible.

Amazing Multistrada bike with a communication system that literally does not work. Have been to the dealer three times already to troubleshoot and now just giving up. Not worth the aggravation.

It’s almost like they want you to experience the cycle ride rather than be immersed in playing with electronics. If that was the true goal, Ducati has succeeded! (Me finding the upside…)

No doubt they will post the standard response as noted on all the other horrible ratings. Suggest the app team save their time and start over. I heard Google makes a nice map?

I seem to need to be hooked up to wifi to download ducati connect . To use map app. I can pair Bluetooth with my iPhone , no problem. But if I turn off the bike and dont have wifi How do I get maps back on the display ?

Why they didn’t just go with what works and a touch screed…. Will never know. Total meltdown app and I hope they get it fixed and debugged. The lockout screen and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth constant fail with iPhone 13 pro max. Also, was prompted for the subscription with syrgic which is supposed to be free and automatic. Prefer Waze and google among others.

Do not by a Ducati thinking this app works. It does not. Issues:

1) Phone must be on and the app open 100% of the time during your ride.

2) There is currently only 1 app available (April 2021) and that’s the Sygic map app.

3) The Sygic map app crashes on 20% of my rides. It most likely is the problems in this connection.

4) The Sygic map app does not work nearly as well as Google Maps, Google Waze, Apple Maps.

I think Bosch should stick to hardware solutions for bikes and leave the software to Apple and Google.

the best motorcycle ever… but wrong choice of software technology for navigation, music etc.
very unfriendly.
please do something to improve this experience.
