I’ve only used the free version but I’ve used owned a 909, 808, 707, and so on. Really convenient for just practicing/song writing. Put it through a blue tooth or PA. Throw a little reverb on and you’re good. If you can’t 4 track a decent lofi album with this then you shouldn’t be writing music. You could easily emulate Beach House or many commercial bands if you know what you’re doing. I don’t know what this rookie I play a BC Rich with dead strings review about being manipulated in to purchasing is about. Go by a Boss dr rhythm and hit play if you don’t know how to step or tap sequence. I’ve had free version for a couple years and never accidentally purchased anything. I’m about to purchase to support this product as a traveling musician who always appreciates a little rhythm in his pocket. Sincerely, someone with common sense.

Accidently purchased
Good little drum machine app. Accidently purchased it the first time I opened which was really annoying I definitely did not want to spend $6 on it before even trying it out. Never had any app trick me into purchasing it like that. I know I touched my finger to accept the purchase but I don’t even realize the option was on the screen I had been trying to exit the app

Sounds dope but has intolerable memory leak
If this app didn’t drain the battery, I would give it another star. The last star missing is this is overpriced. The iMPC Pro 2.0 is same price as this and does a myriad more.

Antiqated not vontage
I have an original TR-808. This app is pretty loor. First when will these VST apps realize we dont care if a knob turns or skides. We do cae when its like extreme torture turning ONE knob ob this app and of course the “buy full version pops up every 10 seconds or if you touch...anything.
In fact i WAS gonna purchase $k in licenses due to a grant i have been given but it seems real shady the way the “buy me” is so in that face.

Sounds good- horrible manual and horrible tutorials
Why don't you make better tools so we can use it. Manual has no info thats of value and the wrong pictures. Video tutorials
are seconds with no walkthrough. I wanted to be able to write multple patterns, then put those patterns together like. 808. I even purchased it thinking that would be an option. No does not work.

Completely inaccessible with VoiceOver and tricks you into paying for an inapp purchase
I am blind, and use VoiceOver. I was checking out the app when it started playing a drum track. None of the buttons were labeled for VoiceOver, so I had no idea how to stop it. I accidently hit the inapp purchase, and boom, $5.99 down the tubes for a useless app. I have requested a refund from Apple.

I wanted to like this app but since installing a fully charged battery before going to bed is at 50% in the morning. The Battery settings show this app as the largest user.

Sounds Cool However Comes With Huge Flaws
The tempo markings are just....wrong and it’s crazy I’m even saying this but the beat does not stay in time. Using from the app with 1/8th inch into the DAW. Can’t get a lock on the tempo even when I get close.... Would love to know more about this.

It’s missing key features
I guess the developers never seen or used TR-808, they just made app based on lite google research and quick basic sample pack download. The MARACAS sample don’t exists?! / CLAVE / RIMSHOT - MARACAS / CLAP - switches are not implemented on the interface.

Not worth the money.
App would be decent if there were a selection of different kicks, snares, etc. or the ability to modulate the instruments, but lacking both of those options makes this app pretty much worthless on the musician level.
