Results –
Every race includes the official result chart from Equibase and a video replay. App Overhaul Actually Amazing Now
Equibase completely revamped this app at the end of July here. The app is fully functional now, doesn’t crash and has quick access to information. The app is sleek, it is intuitive and I already find myself using it more than the old one....which I used almost daily for entries.
Two things I would like to see 1) actual virtual stable integration into the app, not just a redirection to the website. 2) results dating back at least a week. For example: today is 7/30, I can only use the app to pull results back to 7/27. If they add a calendar feature in the top right where we could select the date we want to go to for results and/or charts I would really have no reason to ever use another source for entries and results.
Great job Equibase folks. The seems like your first real foray into serious apps. THIS is how you get the younger generation into this game. BRAVO.

- 1 quick navigation issue. When choosing entries from the menu...If it’s Monday and I want Friday’s entires, I have to scroll all the way to Friday. Previously, I would just click on Friday. To me, technology wise, it’s backwards and less efficient. I think everyone would rather click on a day/date, rather than scroll through entries for Tue, Wed & Thu, just to get to Friday’s entries.
I will email this and other examples of navigation issues.

Another case of App developers trying to. validate their jobs
Equibase was the go to app for quick easy access to racing info. The developers took an easy. quick reference platform and made it complicated and difficult to maneuver through it for the quick info you want. It is another case of App developers trying to validate their jobs by ‘improving’ an App that did not need improving. An example is the Bet Calculator that does not readily respond to the incessant tapping you must do to enter horse numbers.
The App developers should have allowed its users to chose the App format it users want to use. The users impressed with the new format could use it, while the users who want the old format could use it. When I requested the old format I was dismissed with ‘It no longer exists’.
I took a 5 Star app and now rate it 2 Stars

That little handicapper is pretty accurate!
Naturally, it varies from track to track, but that Easy handicapper is one of the TOP THREE IN THE WORLD that I have found at no cost! And I have looked on six of the seven continents. (no tracks in Antartica, yet). You have the needed option to emphasize Trainer, jockey or pedigree in your handicapping. With maiden races give it a double dose of pedigree and trainer. That helps. With quarter horses, the jockey getting the horse rolling NOW is critical, so I add some jockey emphasis. Some tracks have stand out trainers, so you turn that option up when in that situation. A word of advice…this is a free app, so the fact it does well with winners is astounding! Double check third and fourth picks for your trifecta and supers. Hardly an issue at no cost.

Freezes too Much
Love the app and the data it provides. Great to have everything at my fingertips and they seem to listen to users as they’ve added many of their full site features over the years. It’s really a one stop solution for everything. That said, PLEASE fix the freezing/restart issue. The app locks up all of the time and I have to start over. If that was fixed, it’d be easily five star.

Virtual stable is the crown jewel. That unto itself makes this a 5 star app, wow, and thank you to the evil genius(es) who thought it up and made it happen.

Pop up ads are out of control
Don’t bother with this app. Video pop up ads are so intrusive and constant that it is impossible to check the entries or results of even one race without interruption. Wildly frustrating. You can try to X out of the ad but it pops back up immediately. Or, you can watch the ad. That doesn’t help either. When the ad ends you are returned to your desired page where you get a glimpse of the content, then the ad pops up again. Over and over and over again. Hey, Equibase. If you want users to start hating State Farm, keep it up. I’m moving on.

Worst App Ever
If I could give this App 0 or negative stars I would. If it loads at all, it’s 5 races behind in results. Utter crap! Update: The app is only displaying two results at Churchill Downs and the seventh race is about to go off!! No stars for this crap app! DRF puts it to shame and every horse player should delete this piece of crap.

I love the new update! The new layout is significantly better than the old one. All my favorite tracks are right at the touch of a button. Great job!
