Description

Exiled Kingdoms is a single player Action-RPG that allows you to roam freely through a unique world. It is an isometric game, inspired by some of the best role-playing games from the past decades; it brings back the old spirit of the classics in many ways: a challenging environment, choices with consequences, and a solid game system, with different paths to develop your character.

Explore the world: no one will point you to the best hidden secrets. Talk to hundreds of different characters, each with unique dialogues, and solve dozens of quests. Customize your character with dozens of skills and hundreds of different items. Overcome all kind of monsters and antagonists, choosing carefully the weapons or powers for each encounter. And return to the classical dungeon crawl, with traps and secret doors, and death awaiting the unwary adventurer behind every corner.

Forums and more information: http://www.exiledkingdoms.com

Free version: allows to play as a Warrior or a Rogue. It includes 30 areas, 29 completable quests and many hours of gameplay, with a level cap adequate to the areas available.

Full version: requires a single in-app purchase, which unlocks everything, forever. No other activations are needed. Includes 135 areas, 90 quests (plus 200+ generated quests), hundreds of dialogues, counting over 130,000 words; approximately 120+ hours of gameplay, and more content gets added all the time. Additionally, the full version unlocks the Iron-Man mode (permadeath) and makes the Cleric and Mage classes available.

There are NO further micro-transactions. No pay-to-win, no "energy", no ads. Just a game, like they used to be.

STORY INTRODUCTION: A DARK TALE, AND A BRAVE NEW WORLD

A century ago, the Andorian Empire was destroyed by a magical cataclysm that brought The Horrors into our world; humanity was nearly annihilated. Many thousands managed to escape sailing away to the Imperial Colony of Varannar: a savage island, dangerous and unexplored. Mistrust and blame made impossible to elect a new Emperor, and the four Exiled Kingdoms were proclaimed.

Nowadays, the ragtag kingdoms still struggle to survive in a harsh land, often waging war on each other. Empire and the Horrors are, for many, just old legends and fairytales. You are a novice adventurer, rarely paying attention to such old stories; you're more concerned with your latest misadventures and lack of gold.

But for once, luck seems to be on your side. You received a letter from New Garand, stating that you are the sole beneficiary of a big inheritance. You don’t remember any relatives in the capital of the Kingdom of Varsilia, but certainly that won’t stop you from an opportunity like this! The road to New Garand will reveal many surprises, and will teach you that fairytales and legends can become, in fact, very real.

Demandred99,
The best RPG on mobile
If you like old school rpg’s, this gem is the real deal and my favorite iPhone game of all time. An engaging and well written story with huge open world exploration, solid character classes and fighting strategies, guilds, quests, and rough combat. It’s unusual to find a game that has had the attention to detail that Baldur’s Gate and other such titles had on an iPhone. - Character classes are balanced and all are viable- warrior, cleric, thief, mage. - A huge array of loot- some unique and powerful items-, spells, and class skills to select from, which allows for in-depth character customization. Town hall quests leave unlimited questing as an option should you wish. - The main quest is truly epic and spans the entire course of the game. Continue playing beyond the main quest if you wish.... it’s an open world. The interface works well and is intuitive for iPhone in ways that Baldur's gate (even with a brilliant port) just can’t be. Try this game and watch this developer for what they put out next. The only unfortunate issue for this game is the final update from a year ago- opening several areas of new content- isn’t available for iOS. I’m not sure it will be. While this is a complete game… this version doesn’t have all of the content available on other platforms.
Seasoned Survivor,
Impressive Game Must Try
The story and quests are top notch story telling the only thing missing is a great sword for end game instead of an axe for those of us who choose a warriors path of 2h striking.
this game is not centered around greed which 99% of any decent game on the App Store is he offers a great demo for free and only 3.99 for the full version that has over 100 hours of gameplay easy I put in around 40 and I made it to level 20 I haven’t completed the game but there is no other game out here that I have found that isn’t asking me to pay 100s of dollars to buy a skin or the next best armor This rpg fantasy is the best mobile game I have seen in ages Definitely worth the download I wish there was a EK 2 coming out but the developer decided to make a game that is based in the same settings but not a sequel he told us expect it released on steam in the first quarter of year 2020 he will try to make it a mobile game because he knows he has a good fan base on mobile but time to download steam and see if this guy keeps the ball rolling off this successful game
mubyoshi,
Was pretty fun
Played this on hard mode and it was pretty fun. It was difficult, but not something I couldn’t manage with some planning, until I had to start planning around whether or not my game would crash when exiting a dungeon causing me to lose all progress. Every once in a long while and I don’t mind, but it happens so much I couldn’t take it. Granted I only got to level to level 10 so I don’t know how much the difficulty will spike in the later levels.
One thing that kinda killed my motivation to play was the amount of equipment in this game, I rarely ever get upgrades for my rogue while I tend to see warrior gear everywhere in stores. Looked on the wiki to check weapon lists and I realized that I would be using the same gear for a long while until I can get access to unique gear. I feel like this shouldn’t happen until at least the late levels, but the fact that it’s already happening at level 10 killed my motivation. Part of the fun in playing is seeing your character grow stronger, no fun when I’m constantly using the same gear for levels on end.
This game is fun though and the difficulty felt good, just wish it didn’t crash so much and had more equipment variety to choose from.
WayneMando,
Great, Bought it But Keeps Crashing!!
After the first rest at the first stage it crashed, and crashed every time I reached the same spot. So I made a new character and made it past that stage. Played a while and liked it enough to buy the game. Was great but then, after playing all day and getting into it, the stinking same crash occurs following a dialogue where I was drugged. Wtheck! Fix the crashes and this would be awesome. Now I’m bummed because now what? Start a whole new game again? Heck NO. Fix this game so paying customers can get the game they paid for!

The developer did finally respond stating it is a rare sound issue. But I actually got past the crash once I synced an account! That is, until the next time it crashed when zoning. The crashes have happened numerous times, but I keep reloading and finally get to continue playing. I will say that this is a great game, but crashing occurs in random places throughout. I already invested a ton of time and am enjoying the old school rpg feel. It’s like a mix between Baldurs and Diablo with plenty of quests and dungeons. Fix the bugs and it would be five stars.
Capt. Not Kirk,
Perfect old style game
If you ever played Ultima Online and wondered what it would play like as a hank n slash rpg look no further. You’ll be happy to know that there are two types of npc followers. Ones that cost money and Can die along with some who “pass out” but are permanent. These permanent ones you can swap out their gear and they level up with player skills you get to select.

To store items you have your back pack and you can buy bank “vault” storage space. The items are a bit wonky as the armor doesn’t use the rule of thumb as say the rings. There is no worn/torn/damaged armor that has lesser stats. There is no upgrade slots to fumble with. And crafting is done through npc’s via item gathering for them.

The only real flaws I have found is the top tier weapon is lacking and the random town hall missions are not new player friendly. You won’t find a spell of clairvoyance in this game. Otherwise it’s a perfect old style game and I hope what I’ve read is true that there is a second game in development.

2020 Great RPG
Free version is amazing... it took me 30 minutes to go ahead and purchase the full game for $3.99 which is a steal! If you like various classes and various builds to each of those classes.. this is a must try. It’s simple nostalgia is wonderful. Diablo 1, Baldurs Gate feel. Don’t expect 3D MMO graphics, expect nostalgia... 2D wonderful dialogue, story, and numerous ways to build your character. Just simply a wonderful game. I’d love to see the developers new game hit mobile. I’d buy it without questions asked, as I’m sure many of the current and future fans of Exiled Kingdoms would. If this post could get likes... I’d be going viral. I can’t say it enough... just wonderful. Thank you Devs for your hard work to put a game on the App Store at such a reasonable price for 100+ hours of game play... more than that if you wanted to get ballsy and attempt with each class or even better... each class with a different build goal in mind. Wonderful.

Awesome game ... until the end
I very much enjoyed this game and look forward to it being further developed. Great story line and large world and varied quests. The gameplay builds up to a what seems to be a great finale. Loved the twist in the storyline. The big letdown for me was that after putting many hours in to get to the final scene, it turns out it’s impossible to win even though I had a strong high level character built with the ideal warrior traits and skills. At the end I ended up being immediately destroyed by a monster far beyond my means to fight. Or I had the option to bypass that and just get a message that the world is destroyed and I died. I really don’t get the rationale of the devs for rewarding dedicated players with such a letdown at the end. It’s still a great game but I feel that there should be more options in terms of character trait configuration to finish the final quest. My other suggestion is for casual players make health recovery faster and all more health to be recovered. People choose casual because they don’t want to spend half their playing time sitting there waiting for health to regenerate.

Unstable . Underwhelming potion drinking
The developers are clearly sadistic. Game crashes almost every time it’s turned on which is awesome, since it doesn’t save the progress in ‘dungeon” areas. The game is fun at first and the enjoyment does continue for a while, as you can explore different environments and dungeons, and level up your character. The disappointment comes when you get further into the story and levels. The equipment, while numerous in name and variety is dull and most are useless by the time you can beat the boss carrying the item. You will die and grind big time in this game to get a 1 of kind Hero weapon or armor, for it to not be much different that anything else. That’s lame and just makes the replaying not worth the headache. The main gripe and why I don’t understand how people think this is fun, look on Wikipedia if you like, is the game eventually just comes down to stockpiling and drinking potions. 100’s or 1000’s. Every room, in some cases, you go into, fight, drink, rest skills, move on, repeat. That’s the depth here. A few different ways to accomplish the same boring fight. You spend more time in this game going back to towns, than doing anything else. You’ve been warned.

Nice RPG for mobile
Considering the platform this game managed to get me hooked. It has nice gameplay and is perfect for wasting time while I’m away from my computer and other games.

While the core gameplay and other elements are good this game’s enjoyment is marred mostly by the litany of crashes that plague my gameplays. It’s really not satisfying to have looted an entire dungeon just to crash on the way out the door and have to restart. It just leaves a really sour taste for a really fun game.

Otherwise the classes all seem to be somewhat unique. Although I have found that warriors are MUCH stronger compared to other classes and practically bulldoze their way through dungeons while other classes may be delayed. It’s not a horrible feature, just felt worth noting. Especially compared to the two mana using classes, warriors make them feel like their gameplay is slow and delayed because you may have to end a run soon because of loosing your mana pool when warriors can just continue rolling over everything.

A tragically flawed masterpiece
TL;DR Play on casual unless you want massive pain... You have been warned.

This was one of my favorite games of all time. The world is detailed and beautiful, the writing is clever, there are interesting decisions everywhere, and combat is thrilling. I persevered through countless challenges (normal difficulty) all the way to the final dungeon. But then there was a massive, completely unfair difficulty spike, especially because I was a rogue and my companion was taken away, so no more backstabbing. Maybe there’s some combination of items that would make things easier, but what if I sold those items permanently? Or maybe hours of grinding would help. Difficulty is fine, but not hours of brutal punishment, especially when the rest of the game (all quests completed) left me completely unprepared. I’d rather just watch a video of the ending at this point. I’d still recommend this game based on the weeks of entertainment it provided, which I can’t say for most games with unfair difficulty spikes...
