RxL55699,
This app got potential but some ways to go.
The graphics are beautiful, but that’s about it at this point. There are a very limited amount of videos, and so far all of these videos are with video only, no sound. I used this app for stationary bike Bowflex C-6. There’s not much information when using the app, such as your RPM, heart rate, resistance, etc. All you have are the total distance on the lower left, and total eclipsed time on the lower right. Pressing on the screen also gives you a brief glimpse of speed, but would fade away after 3 or 4 seconds.

Now, I’ve also been using FulGaz for the same bike. Also graphic on FulGaz doesn’t seem as good as this app, it’s got a whole lot more of them, and they actually have sound. The FulGaz app user interface also provides more information such as remaining distance, remaining time, your heart rate, resistance, etc. Although it may not be accurate but it still gives useful information during usage.

This is not an advertisement for FulGaz but rather it’s strictly my personal opinion. I’d prefer FulGaz to this app at this point in time. However, this app does have potential to be great, if more videos are added, with sound, and more information displayed.
MikeM1968,
Needs apple watch version
I was happy to find something that was reported to sync data from my Nautilus U618 upright stationary bike to the Apple health app. Having recently purchased an Apple Watch series 7, I wanted all my data to sync up correctly.

After trying this out though, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t sync calories burned with Apple fitness. I’ve had to manually enter the results from this app into my activity in Apple health- BUT it STILL doesn’t recognize this for my fitness scores/ rings. It will only automatically sync the time worked out.

I also don’t feel a necessity to utilize the virtual tours, but this seems to be the only way to use this app.

The app also records the bikes incorrect and constant maximum heart rate, versus my real heart rate ( which I can see on my watch ) - the U618’s heart rate sensors have always read that I’m working out at my maximum heart rate whenever I grab them - since I bought the machine a few years ago- I always knew those readings were always wrong.

Maybe there should be better integration with the Apple Watch? I’ve tried other indoor cycling apps and they at least report and sync with Health, although I feel they fall very short on what should realistically be calories burned.
whereverigogo,
Not able to sync to Apple Health - no support
Information for this app indicates it will sync with Apple Health. But, though it appears I have this set up correctly (not a simple or intuitive process), things are not synchronizing. There appears to be no support. Even the link to “app support” here in the App Store just goes to Bowflex hardware sales and support — not to Nautilus or Schwinn or to anyone who might know this app.

I’ve paid for the upgraded version and really like the rides, themselves. These do pair well with my bike (Schwinn IC4), from a riding experience. However, with a ton of different rides, there’s no way to filter or favorite anything. Just a long long scrolling block of many many nice visual, interactive places to ride.

Super frustrating not to be able to sync ride data with Apple Health. But kudos on the ride visuals. Very nice — and so much better to explore all of these wonderful locations … than to have some intense fitness instructor yelling at me to go full out or to stand up on the bike or to push myself harder. ;-)
SimplyMichelle,
Ride with app (almost) everyday
Wanted to throw in my review because for how I use the app it’s been perfect. I usually hate most exercise but have been riding with this app almost every day for two weeks with our Schwinn 170 which is a big triumph for me. The scenery not moving until you do seems simple enough but it’s kept me focused and motivated and for someone with high end ADHD that has been very helpful. I’m also grateful that there’s a history of past rides so I can keep track of days I’ve missed & days I’ve exercised. I usually ride 6 miles & have had no issues being kicked out though sometimes the scene will pause for a few seconds esp if WiFi is slow. I hope more locations continue to be added (more national parks!), or at the very least- that the locations on the Run side of the app are made available on the Ride side.

Downloaded this app with the intention of using it to link my workouts on my new Nautilus R216 recumbent to my Apple Health app. The R216 comes with over 20 preprogrammed workouts with the ability to create user created workouts. I’m rehabbing from an injury and am not capable of more than the easiest of rides. This app will not record the rides built into the R216. It only records the rides available in the app of, which 5 are free, and shares that data with Apple. A deal breaker for me as I’m not working for at least a few more months. Thought it would be nice to track my improvement through Apple Health as the R216 just beeps and gives you a badge when you reach a goal. No reviewing of long term results and progress. As the saying goes, “Nothing is free”.
Ben from MA,
Not as advertised
The app’s functionality is not at all as expected. When I bought my Nautilus treadmill a few months ago, I bought it thinking that it would “seamlessly” (per the website) connect to Apple Health and several other apps. The only app that’s left that actually connects to the treadmill is this one. The Nautilus Trainer 2 app is nowhere to be found on the App Store, neither is Strada, and the other connections to third-party apps that they claim, also do not connect. This app is extremely basic; the settings and connectivity are shoddy. The layout is sloppy and has a lot of unexpected behavior. The videos of the routes are nice, if you pay for them, but nobody should have to pay for this app. The lack of attention to detail makes me think that Bowflex has corralled all of its Bowflex, Nautilus and Schwinn software engineers to work on their new VeloCore platform, leaving everything else in the hands of the B squad.
pjaybird,
Works Fab with My Schwinn 411 Elliptical
The machine is awesome on its own, but the EtW app just makes it even more fun. I use my iPad (9th gen) and it works well. At first I thought it didn't, but then realized quickly that you have to choose a program on the elliptical FIRST, get it active, THEN choose "run" on EtW app, and it will pair via the bluetooth very easily. I've only used the free version so far, but I think I'll buy the premium soon. It's awesome how it stops when you stop and starts when you start! Love the visuals (French Riviera is my fave) and it works flawlessly. Great app if you take the time to use it right.
Geo oeG,
Now my Schwinn 270 is really more of what I wanted
I fortuitously purchased a Schwinn 270 recumbent stationary bike in February, before the virus started to change all of our lives. The Schwinn Trainer app and suggested MyFitnessPal apps were a huge disappointment. I then discovered this app and now I have some visual motivation when I am working out during this stay-at-home lockdown. I immediately bought the premium subscription and I am happily pedaling my way through beautiful scenery.

I would like to see the following improvements:
1. More and longer rides. It is a bit disappointing that the rides are so short when I am on the bike for 90 minutes.
2. A playlist feature that would allow me to list a set of routes that would play one after another. Currently, I stop and switch routes when each one finishes.
3. A random route option where the app would pick another route when you finish one.
4. More on screen data. I would love to see my current “speed” displayed and other data if possible.

Thanks for making my sequestration more fun!
G-the-Smith,
Where are the updates
This is a nice well-implemented app, albeit a bit limited. However, for a subscription fee of $60/year I expect regular feature updates in return, especially new routes. Hasn’t happened in the six months since I signed up and the version history shows only a handful of relatively minor changes and no feature updates since the app was released. If I don’t start seeing some feature updates, new and longer cycling routes in particular, I won’t be renewing my subscription. Time to either put some resources behind this app or get rid of the subscription and make it a one time fee.
DigitalCV,
Fun app and zero issues!
I see a lot of low ratings for this app, but I decided to subscribe and try it anyway. I have zero issues using the app. It works well and adds a nice level of fun to the ride. I cast from my phone to the big screen and it works very well. Beautiful views and just fun to watch! The app syncs up nicely with my Schwinn 170. It syncs well with my iphone. If I pedal fast, slow or stop it reflects on the screen perfectly. My distance traveled and time shows on the screen. All other metrics are transferred to the app.
Thank the creators for supporting this app!!
