Our CES award-winning Personal Vision Tracker (PVT) is powered by MIT-patented technology to help you learn about your refractive error i.e. your nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. NEW! Order Try-On Glasses, custom made using your test results, delivered to your house in a week.

NOTE: Requires the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker device to take vision tests. Don’t have one? Order from Amazon today!

The iOS app is compatible with iOS 12.0 or above. If you’re unsure of your phone’s compatibility, contact [email protected].

Here’s how it works:
1. Order the Personal Vision Tracker
2. Create an EyeQue account & verify your email
3. Input your device Serial Number
4. Take a set of vision tests
5. Get EyeGlass Numbers – which includes near-vision add based on age (NV ADD+)

If you receive EyeGlass Numbers, you can order glasses online (bifocals and single vision) or easily track your vision over time.*

Subscription – Membership:
EyeQue PVT requires a very small annual subscription per account. The first account for the first year is included FREE! Add accounts for each person you will share the device with so they can test their vision and store their own results.

IMPORTANT NOTE: EyeGlass Numbers are cumulative so each person must test with their own account. Sharing an account with someone will negatively impact your vision data and the quality of your EyeGlass Numbers.

- Have a single vision prescription between +8.00 and -10.00
- Have a cylinder between 0 and -4.00
- Are ages 25 and older
- Want to track your vision
- Want to order glasses online

You SHOULD NOT use the EyeQue PVT app if you:
- Have severe light sensitivity
- Are colorblind or have difficulty differentiating between red and green
- Require a prism measurement
- Have difficulty holding up a smartphone while navigating the smartphone screen
- Have trouble making a rotational movement with your hands
- Have a medical condition that affects your eyes or eyesight

The EyeQue PVT is registered with the US FDA as a Class 1 medical device with 510(k) exemption. EyeQue PVT does not provide medical advice or replace a full comprehensive eye exam.

*This is a self-administered vision test and results may vary. If your vision results are inconsistent, you won’t receive EyeGlass Numbers. Our enhanced test performance feedback instantly lets you know how well you tested and provides resources to improve test performance.

Lulu user! :),
Skeptical
Purchased PVT as my prescription from last year resulted in getting glasses that did not work well. Left eye fine but right eye not as focused. Also could not get eyes to synchronize very well on an image despite having PD measured at the optical shop. Multiple tests on PVT resulted in fairly consistent measurements despite getting messages from app that measurements not consistent. Not sure why. Results also seemed very different from opthalmologists results. Despite this new glasses ordered and to my surprise vision much better than the other glasses/eyes synchronized. I have done more testing again and found the app updated. When reviewing prior tests the saved results on the app do not match up with the readings that I saved to my phone. Dates and times match but EGNs do not. Emailed customer support but have not gotten a response to that question yet. Some measurements with new app have been inconsistent with other results although latest one taken was spot on with the EGN used to order latest glasses. Overall pleasantly surprised by the results obtained but still concerned with some inconsistencies. Will keep testing!
SamW.,
Seems to work
This seems to work. I needed new glasses badly and can’t get an appointment for several months. It’s not the easiest to do but if you take your time you can get thru it.
So my new glasses arrived today. I am pleasantly surprised that the prescription is quite good. My vision is much better than my old prescription. I was very skeptical since it came out way different from my old scrip. I did test six times. I recommend testing as many times as you can stand and take your time doing it. I have an appointment with an optometrist in a month and I will see where their prescription fall into place. My only reason for four stars and not five is that the testing process is very tedious. My eyes are really bad. It probably would be easier for someone with better vision to start with
NJB979,
Even wowed an optometrist!
After reading mixed reviews and trying the app out myself, I wanted to set the record straight.
So at first I had an issue getting the app to run. I found a chat box on their website and got help right away. The person instructed me to force close and reopen the app - sounded too simple for a solution but it worked! Kudos to the guy who helped me!
Turns out this app was easy to use, pretty straight forward, and my results were spot on to my doctor’s prescription on one eye, and off by 0.25 on the other. After talking with my neighbor (she’s an optometrist), she said that difference is probably unnoticeable and she was impressed at the accuracy! Based on this, I ordered a pair of glasses and they work perfectly!
The app worked well for me, bummer for those having problems. Perhaps they should have tried contacting customer support before giving up? Just saying...
dasleaflet,
Decent but unsure of accuracy
Decent and simple overall, but I haven’t checked the accuracy with a recent eye exam.

Suggestions:
1. Would it make sense to tell the user how to retake a test if he/she forgets to rotate the eyepiece? I can see this would be one reason to have a b/t version, for positive assurance the test is being taken properly, as I felt that could be a large source of error.
2. Another thing would be a reminder why it’s still important to see a ”trained professional “ to check for other issues, like glaucoma, etc. in other words, this would be a good time to” lean in “ to educating the user.
3. You should give the user an idea of how often to repeat this” exam .” Among other things, that helps validate the user’s purchase.
4. Also, are there sectors in society unable to get proper tests, where this might be invaluable? What about leaning in to that and having a donate-now button to support sending these to an appropriate organization? The Lions club is into donating glasses, so that may be a natural fit. And this will help “get the word out” and give you an even greater impact, besides increasing your perceived “good will.”

Again, good start, and best wishes! Thanks for the sample at CES2023.
Jenni T,
Work well
I’ve used the EyeQue Vision Check for a few years and it works quite well. You do need to practice in order to get your eye aligned properly to view both lines. But, once you do that, it’s pretty quick. I also have the PD check, which is better than what is done by an optician just visually. I ordered glasses online a couple of years ago using what I got from EyeQues and they were far better than the ones that I got at the optometrist.

My only issue is that I cannot order try-on glasses with the correct PDs from EyeQue because mine are not equal. I learned the hard way that just dividing the total PD by 2 does not work. The last time I got glasses at the optometrist, it took four visits to get my glasses right. In the end, the PDs were the issue.
aperks89,
Cool concept and convenient
This app is super cool and seems pretty accurate. I misunderstood the directions for my first test and the practice test before this, so I have had to take a few additional tests (my results were not consistent after I started testing the correct way). I have another to do, but the results seem close to my prescription once I started doing it right! It’s nice that I can do this on my own time from home, rather than having to go through the process at an optometrist’s office. Very convenient. Took a star off the review because I couldn’t delete my first test result!
Tigit66,
Skeptical at first
I was skeptical at first I took the practice test several times in order to learn how to properly use the eye check device. After taking multiple tests at different times of the day and getting a steady average I went ahead and ordered my glasses. I could actually see better with my new glasses straight out of the box than I have ever been able to after a visit to the eye doctor. You have to take multiple tests and and learn how to properly use the device. I will still go to the eye doctor for an annual check up but I will be using this app to get my prescription and order my glasses.
DaemonicBlackCat,
Works well, but could use improvements
This app and device work well to precisely measure my distance vision prescription (which I compared to my prescription from 6mos. ago). However, I wear bifocals and the app can't measure my near field vision (probably because it's refractive error is far less than that of my distance vision). It would be great if there was a second set of tests that can help measure the change in both fields of vision for bifocal users. It could also let someone know if they need to talk to their doctor about getting bifocals.
san 🤬,
Good way to check your eyes
I never used glasses before. So, I was not sure what to expect from this device. I was starting to have some blurry view for look at the computer screen. So, I decided to try the PVT to see what kind of results would be achieved. I did several tests separated by different days to see what kind of results it would give me. When I saw that the results were similar, I decided to get a pair of glasses.
I was not sure how accurate it would be, as when I looked at the results there were mixed results registered.
I am glad to say that the glasses that I ordered worked perfectly. I can see clearly when looking at the computer screen with small letters.
I’m happy with the results and will keep doing the vision test regularly to check when it will be time to get new glasses.
Hope this helps

Stereo3DGuy,
Disappointing
Had this app for a year and decided to check my eyes again. Started up the app on my iPhone 7plus, but would only get the splash screen for a second, then it would crash, I tried it on my iPhone X worth the exact same result. Deleted the app on both phones, reinstalled and they both now would load properly. Next problem and the final blow, while taking the eye test, the - or + sign used to align would go rouge at different levels of the test and just continue on there own to move in one direction or the other until you get a voice message you have hit the outer range. No way to stop this behavior without going out of the program and starting over. I gave up after 3 tries. Life’s too short.
