• Scoring system with awards and rank promotions.
• Full support for your GAME CONTROLLER.*
• Complete step-by-step guided FLIGHT SCHOOL tutorials.

Pilot the awesome F/A-18 Hornet in this highly realistic fighter jet simulation. Using physical properties of the actual aircraft, the simulation flies just like the real thing.

Interactive control overlays make it easy to use the extensive cockpit systems. It not only allows for input, but also provides feedback for aircraft systems such as radar mode or landing gear status. You control the aircraft's flight stick by rotating and tilting your device, or optionally using a compatible game controller.

Acquire a target on the realistically simulated AN/APG-65 radar. Then launch an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile and watch it track its target with its realistically simulated guidance system.

Because the game captures performance differences between aircraft, aerial combat is highly realistic. So when you tangle with an enemy MiG-27, real-world tactics can save your day.

Enemy pilots are skilled adversaries, proficient in dogfighting as well as ground attack. You may find yourself in a turning battle with a MiG-21 while simultaneously evading a SAM missile. If you can survive, you've earned bragging rights.

Connect up to four nearby players (within Bluetooth range or connected to the same Wi-Fi access point) for exciting real-time air-to-air combat.

Direct your wingman to fly in formation or to come to your aid. Request landing clearance from the control tower or get guidance from the Landing Signal Officer on final approach to a carrier landing.

The game includes 16 practice missions and 50 campaign missions. Increase your score with each mission and with every downed enemy aircraft. Earn awards and promotions as your career advances. Hours of gameplay wait.

You'll get a taste of what it's like to be fighter pilot. If you're interested in aviation, or military history, then FA-18 Hornet is for you.

*iOS 13 now allows you to connect your Bluetooth PS-4 or XBOX ONE game controller.

GIR01,
A few small details is all
Now, this game, it is realistic VERY realistic for it being on mobile, it’s not your ordinary mobile flight sim or simply tilting and shooting, this mobile game consist of arming your weaponry, targeting enemies, using IFF to identify if such object is friendly or an enemy. This game is revolutionary at the least and needs more popularity in my opinion. Anyways now onto my small changes I would like to see, I would enjoy having a full cockpit, not just the dash and the tech in the front, I’m talking about the seat in which you’re sitting in, heck add an ejection animation in if that seems suiting, it’s just that the cockpit could use some love. Also, I would LOVE to see a sonic boom added into the game, add the air cone on the back of the F18 at 750 mp/h, even mute the sound at 750 mp/h because that’s how it basically works, when you reach the sonic boom all sound in or around the jet just mutes in a sense because you are now outrunning sound itself, so I would LOVE to see that. Other than those two features I love this game 👌
matt clover,
Stuff I’d love to see in the game
Now the game is great, best simulator on mobile. And I’m saying this, because the game is very advanced. Not like the other mobile sims, where you tilt, shoot, and fly. In this game, it comes with a course of flight school, and you can even make your own mission. Now one thing, I would love to see you improve on, is the cockpit. I know, it’s not a big deal, but if you think about it, it would make the game ten times better. Not only, will it improve the game, but It will attract a lot more people, a lot. Now I don’t mean you need to improve on everything in the game, just the cockpit is enough to attract more people to buy the game. I love playing flight sims, that are super realistic. And that’s why I bought this, it’s an advanced flight simulator on mobile. It’s the dcs world, but on mobile. I love improvements on those little things, that would make the game much better, like the mirrors. The three mirrors would make it easier to spot a enemy from behind you and it will make the cockpit more realistic. Stuff like that make the game ten times better. I really really hope you guys take this in consideration. It will make the game much much better.
Ddisque,
Awesome!!!!!
This is the best and favorite game on my iPad! Love it! The only problem I have is after this last update, I lost all my progress and can’t select any of the MK – 84 bombs as well as some of the other munitions from the ordinance menu when setting up a sortie. Really don’t mind losing the progress, because I had such a great time getting to where I was. It’s definitely not a problem doing it again. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys realistic combat flight simulators like the Jane’s series are used to play back in the day on PC. The training missions are in depth and give you a good idea of how to use the things you’re being trained on. You can always practice on the sortie missions that you can customize to your liking. I can’t say enough, I love this game! I cannot wait for more updates and missions. I hope the developers could add some enemy ships to attack on the sortie missions. Thank you very much for this awesome game!

Being a pilot myself and having a father pilot I'm accustomed to appreciating realism. Being a combat pilot is much more than just simply flying an aircraft. A large part of it is becoming efficient with your aircrafts systems and learning how to deploy them. for an iPhone/iPad game these guys really nail it. A lot of realism and I'm sure more to come. I know they're still working on updates and improvements. I realize. The market is not huge for realistic combat flight sims. Most of them feel to arcade like. But I personally like the mental challenge of the realism of having to multitask with the aircraft systems, manage a team and dogfighting at the same time. I like the fuel realism as well. Most sims don't really go that far. I really hope this sim sticks around because they have a good thing going. They found a good niche. They're bringing back realism and allowing it to be fun. That's a real sim! Good job guys!!!
FIVESUNGENERAL,
The Next Big Update
It is excellent to see that the developers are still working on this app which is by the way my favorite one of all time. There are still a few things that I would absolutely love to see in the future though. One of these things is better more realistic sound effects. I will not lie the sound effects in this game are not the best but I have full faith that the team can and WILL correct it. The next thing I will mention is the biggest and by far the most important aspect for the Simulator, Missiles and countermeasures. I would love to see physics close to Falcon 4 which is the most realistic simulator in the world. In Falcon Missiles are MUCH HARDER TO CONFUSE WITH CHAFF/FLARE but not necessarily as hard to outrun or outmaneuver. If possible do some research into it and consider putting it into the sim. I know it's an awful lot to ask but I think it would make the sim really good.
Obbrooks,
Don’t know what else to say but great game.
This game is probably one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. There’s just a couple of thing I want to say for anyone that’s thinking about getting this game. First of all, don't make this your first flight sim. Try out some other games before this one, and see if you enjoy them, you should try it out. The second thing I would like to point out is that the graphics won’t be as good as you would think. This should be pretty understandable for a lot of people, but just in case, making a game that has that real physics and to be able to run that well is very impressive, and if they were to add the realistic physics that people want, it would be even more expensive and the game would be much slower. And if there is any devs reading this, I just want to say that I think you should take this to console.
Force1447,
Multiplayer update plz
Can you guys add a worldwide multiplayer so instead of Bluetooth and LAN you can make a server in a list of servers for people to play on and in the server you can add like voice and text chat so we can communicate and execute missions together and be able to change your loadout after landing so like if the mission is CAP you can get A2A and fuel tanks and if it’s CAS you can get harms or agms and stuff and make it so that the missions are a dynamic campaign and stuff like that. And maybe if you could add more aircraft for us to fly that would be amazing too. And if you could fix a bug with how there used to be wing fuel tanks for slot 3 and 7 but now it just MK-84s that can’t be selected there instead that would also be nice. And instead of the game just being F-18, why not make it a variety of aircraft
Blazing (FB Group),
Amazing! Update?
I’ve been wanting to get the game for a while now and I just got it yesterday and I have been playing it in non-stop trying to get better. I enjoy playing the game very much but there’s some inaccurate things. First off, can you make the aircraft carrier bigger and add some planes on the carrier, and there should be 4 catapults.
There is also something I want to see added in the game, another formation where the planes are much closer to each other to make scenic videos and the make a timeout for the his menu where everything disappears and add option where if you want the hud to be on all the time or limited time, I also want to see the DC-10’s become Air Refueling Planes.
Hopefully this is read and a response is given back. I’d like to know what the future will be to this game. (Graphics/Terrain/Buildings Quality in the future should be better.
Inda Pendent,
Put on your flight suit
I was dubious at first. Nearly Balked at the price. Long ago I came across a PC flight simulator called Jet Fighter. In the day, it blew my mind. The opponent was nearly invisible, simply a square tracker on the screen. And when the enemy came close, so fast! Where did they go? I can easily imagine this is what it must be like in a jet. That program set a standard, this program has set a new standard for me. And on an iPad? Come on! The controls are complicated enough to add realism, at least in my imagination, but not so complicated that make it too difficult to manage. The targets both air and ground are challenging enough to make you have to practice but you do learn and adjust your approaches to the missions. Really nice work and worth the price.
Lloyd Waldo,
I played this game 24 years ago.
For you young kids who are just downloading this game for the first time, just some perspective. I bought this game (the very early version of it) when I was about 11 years old in 1995 for 50 dollars of my own money. You can imagine how thrilling it is to see this classic game on the iPad after all these years.

When you play this game, you need to understand that the “basic” graphics and the gameplay were absolutely mind blowing when this game came on a handful of floppy disks you had to install on your home computer. This game is an absolute classic. Be thankful the company were able to present it in this format, so we can all enjoy a bit of flight simulator history.
