Good Idea; Needs Capacity
I like Fabriq; it is very helpful in keeping track of how long it has been since I’ve been in touch with people. The main downside of it is that it only allows 50 people to be entered, and that is a hard-and-fast limit. I actually keep in contact with a lot of people, and I have run into this artificial limit of 50 people many times. When I want to add someone else, I have to figure out who am I going to delete first. Then I have to delete a previous person (whom I don’t want to delete) in order to add the new person. Or, I just simply can’t add the new person. I would really like to see this artificial limit expanded by at least 100%, or even removed completely. Why is there a limit on the number of friends we should be able to keep track of?

Apparently I do have friends
I have been hard on myself for lack of close friends. So I have been working in being intentional on building friendships. This app reminds me I have more people in my life than I think and helps gives me options on who I should connect with.
One thing I’d liked though is the ability to customize and add or remove circles. For example I have connections through different hobbies I have and sometimes I’d like to filter who I connect with based on that hobby. So for example one of those the hobbies I have is rock climbing and I’m trying to build connections in that category so I might want to quick find people to connect with based on that hobby.
I will often meet people in circles like this without getting contact information right away but would like to make notes for future interactions. Of course this is coming from someone that has plenty of room for extended circles but not many close friends(yet)

Build intentional relationships
I started using Fabriq during the pandemic to encourage me to get out of my isolation. It is exactly what I needed and easy to use with all the features I could ask for. I like that you can take notes and keep track of gift ideas. Especially valuable to me is the analytics of number of days between connections and how many times I’ve reached out to other people this month. That helps me set goals and be mindful of how much time passes between talking to someone. It always amazes me how quickly the time goes! An added bonus for me is that, when I feel alone or don’t know who to reach out to, I can go to the app and be reminded of all the important people I have in my life. I highly recommend Fabriq to anyone looking to build intentional, meaningful relationships.

A few tweaks could make it even better
Overall I like this app a lot and it’s definitely helping me keep up with my friends better. I do wish there was an easy way to add notes when you click “we connected,” to say how you connected (text, call, etc) and a few points about what you talked about that you want to remember. Currently you can easily add reminders, that come as a notification when you set them to, but I usually don’t need those, just a brain boost about little details before the next conversation. Plus it would be nice to have a track of what we’ve talked about over time in the persons page, especially with outer circle where it’s less frequent. Otherwise, I do like the reminders to keep up with everyone!

Strengthening Relationships
Fabriq is a great tool for reminding me keep up with the relationships that matter. We can all get swept away with the craziness of life and forget to reach out to the people we care about- however, this resource helps keep track of how long it’s been since you’ve connected with someone, sends reminders to connect and allows you to make notes about your connections (last convo, important events coming up, etc.). A few times, I have even just sent a “Just wanted to say hi and let you know I’m thinking about you and miss you!” text that I would have not otherwise thought to send thanks to Fabriq. I really do think it will help me stay in touch with people and create more meaningful relationships.

Great idea - Not ready to commit $40
Their value proposition is something I’ve been looking for for a few months, and I loved all of the information they had on the website about how it works and why it works. But when it came to committing to the premium version I said no thanks because I didn’t have an opportunity to try the app or try adding an extended circle.
I’m 22 and at a point in my life where my family understands that I’m focusing on being out in the world on my own and building a social network, but I’d still like to be consistent in my communication with them.
Ideally, this app would have a 3 month free trial where I could ensure that I’m getting value out of it.

Used to be better
I appreciate that fabriq is updating and trying to make changes but I MUCH preferred it when it was simpler. I deleted other social media and love it for keeping myself updated on friends both with and without other social media. I’ve suggested it to quite a few people over the past year. HOWEVER, now it’s so colorful that it’s hard to see what’s going on - it has so many tabs that it’s not as user friendly now - you have to click multiple places and multiple times to fill out your connection history - the amount of time it takes to update a connection made makes me just not open the app anymore. Also it lags TERRIBLY now. Please go back to simple white background and one or two clicks to update contact logs!

Don’t be the Fade-Away Friend
Fabriq is a spot on concept app. In modern times people can be connected to millions of strangers but utterly lonely when it comes to maintaining face-to-face, supportive friendships, especially for those of us who move cities for education and work. It’s okay if you are not sure how to make and maintain friendships. Work at it like you would with getting into a romantic relationship. Fabriq will help you focus in on the 5 to 50 people who truly matter, and remind you to nurture those connections regularly so they are there for you when you’re needing them.

Recently, the app started failing to log connections and after uninstalling / reinstalling, it will no longer let me log into my account. I key in my phone number on the login screen, it appears to be processing, then simply returns to the login screen again. No error messages appear, making it clear the account still exists, but there seems to be no way past the logon screen. And just like that, all of my connections, notes, and data are inaccessible.
