Bully_Dog,
Great time killer (Suggestion to the devs)
Saw Cassandra’s review and the developers response so I decided to download and it’s a great time kill game (Also seen you guys added an apology to your “pay to remove ads screen” that’s not necessary but cool that you guys did that). I’ve played games with way worse ads that force you to play a mini game for 45 seconds while you stare at the top of your screen hoping to see the x pop up, and if that’s not bad enough you get the same ad after playing one level that lasts ten seconds. And $10 to just remove ads is a bit steep however I get the feeling it’s more for supporting the developers than just the convenience of not getting interrupted every minute.

(To the devs) I do have two suggestions for the devs as far as making the game a little more visually pleasing:

1: Instead of a dotted line connecting between each resource node do roads. These roads can differ depending on what node they’re coming from (dirt between woods and saw mill, asphalt between sawmill to factory, and highways to the cities. After that just have the resources follow those instead of flying off the line.(maybe even trucks with the resource symbols)

2: Have the bold borders between regions disappear when you own everything around them it clutters the screen a bit and makes it more difficult to find the random coins around the map.

Great game so far though keep up the good work 👍

Fun but not really worth it
It’s a fun game if you can get past the ads randomly showing up as you’re playing. So I decided to pay $9.99USD (before tax) to get rid of the ads. It got rid of the randomly occurring ones, but not the ones you need to watch for boosts. I’m used to games getting rid of all ads if I pay money, not just some. I know, small company, but it should be specified which ads are actually going away and not sound like you’re getting rid of all ads. Also the offline option doesn’t seem to work for me? I was offline over night because I was sleeping, got back on in the morning expecting to have made some money, and saw that not only did I not make any money, I was just as broke as I was before I fell sleep. If you’re supposed to be making X amount per minute while away, then you should make something over night, even if it was capped. So not seeing the prompt about how much I made while away, and not even getting the option to watch an ad to multiply my earnings, well, it was disheartening. Now, not to sound like that type of person, but I never write reviews for apps. If I don’t like it, I delete it. But never have I regretted spending money on an app as much as I did this one. With a high rating I wasn’t expecting it to pretty much scam you. And I don’t read reviews because it’s an app, I either like it or don’t, and it’s free to download. But I wished I did, maybe someone else had this problem and I could have avoided it and saved my money
Chelechele22,
Developers, please read this.
This note was meant specifically for this developers of this game:

Dear Developers,

Thank you for putting in all of the effort in creating this game.
I realize that it is not your fault for the ads. You need the money from the ads to keep processing/developing this game.
I also understand that you are probably upset for all of the rotten and mean reviews.

You should let people know that you need the money from the ads to keep making the game. (This is a suggestion) You should put like a little note in the game next to where the “No ads” game pass is. You should make it say something like, “I’m sorry for the excessive ads. I need the money for the game.” or something like that. It would help the reviewers realize it’s not your fault.

Other people say that the “No ads” product doesn’t get rid of the ads. If you made it work, people would be happier.
(These are all just suggestions, so please don’t think I’m trying to tell you what to do.

By the way, GREAT game! It is SO fun! If you DO happen to make another game, please let me know by advertising it on this game or something.

Thank you for taking time out of your day for reading this. This is one of the best and most relaxing games that I’ve ever played. 😁😁😁😁😁

Sincerely,
Cassandra

Mixed feelings
I really struggle figuring out if I like this game. There is a lot of potential, but I don’t know if it actually “fun”. Ads pop up every 20 seconds or so which is super excessive. They offer a no ads mode for $10, but that makes you wonder if the game is worth $10. That is a lot of money. I literally just bought dying light on sale for $20 yesterday. Is this half as fun as that game?

I have played a lot of phone games and I understand they need to make money. Here are my thoughts: No ads that interrupt gameplay without the player triggering it, it breaks immersion. Every ad that is watched should have a good benefit attached to it. Make it so that these ads = a ton of gameplay time worth of success. I have played a few idle games that did this right where I wanted to watch the ads so much that the game could not generate the ads fast enough and I had to wait to the system to generate new ones for me. The best part is that I stayed engaged. Like I said, lots of potential here. I hope that this helps!
LateFilms,
Good time burner
Definitely as is advertised, it’s a fun game very simple mechanics and good to just make time go by when you got a few minutes. There are ads as any free game have that aren’t too extreme but can get kind of annoying but usually skippable. I ended up purchasing the “No-Ads” option for like $10 and something cents, I kinda wish/think the devs should make it so I don’t have to watch ads to get the bonus’ that come up every now and then since that was half my reasoning on buying in the first place. But overall, a solid game. TLDR; Good time waster, some ads, wish I didn’t have to watch ads to earn rewards after buying no ads.

Edit: I also forgot to leave this note to the dev: After purchasing No-Ads there is a glitch where ads to show up every 30 minutes or so and seem to kinda freeze making me restart the game, it’s not a super big deal to me since it’s so spaced out but it is an issue

Great Game, Terrible Ad Utilization
I’ve played two games from this developer. The state connect was great too. It’s a fun tapper where you can connect across North America. Here’s the downside, the ads are brutal. They’re the predatory type ads where if you click the x it’ll make you play through some scenario. Then make you wait an extra 5 seconds. This happens randomly, then the developer will kick out a message about how irritating the ads are. The attempt to get a user to spend 10 dollars to remove ads is ridiculous. The ads are intentionally annoying, and the developer says their size means they have to depend on ad revenue. While this may be the case, 10 dollar is insane. It should be somehwere around the 2.99 price point. The game does not offer anything beyond expansion, there is no development of an economy. There is also no way to upgrade building types or choose industries. Which is all fine, if not for the ridiculous 10 dollar fee to remove ads

Great fun game but needs some work
Game is great, engaging and fun but some of the mechanics are definitely in need of some tweaking. Biggest one being the offline earnings. They don’t work correctly. I was just offline for 7 hours and came back to 35k at 5000 a minute. Meaning I was only paid for less than 10 minutes of being away? That doesn’t make sense and I make that quicker being online in 5 seconds. I don’t know if it’s a bug or a weird mechanic but that seriously needs to get sorted, there is no reason I shouldn’t come back to the game hours later and not have an abundance of money to invest back into my skills or at the very least buy a single tile. There are a few smaller gripes I have but they would could be managed better fixing that one major issue. Other than that, the game is really on a good path. Simple but engaging, you honestly just want to keep expanding.
Talryk,
Has Potential!
I rather enjoy the mechanics that run this game. I like the hex-based grid, and the different tiers of production that chain together.
What I don’t like is that the game is basically on rails. The map doesn’t appear to be randomized, and the sections which you’re allowed to open at a time are in a specific order, or in a series of small groups which allow you the illusion of choice.
Where I think the devs really went wrong was with the forced interstitial advertisements. If you force me to watch an ad just to keep playing, I’m going to delete this app and not play it any more. What should be done instead is provide optional bonuses as a reward for *choosing* to watch an ad; I’ll do that all day.
All in all, I think there’s a foundation for something great. The lack of substance, and propensity for “monkey hit the button” gameplay, paired with forced ads is what really kills it. Randomization of the game, along with a goal of some sort would increase user engagement and replay ability.

Insubstantial industry game
This game basically tries to be an idle industry game, but it does it badly. Your offline earnings are tiny, and restricted to 30 minutes of offline time to earn what you could earn in about 10 seconds of having the game open. They don’t want you earning too much offline because then you would progress too far without having to watch ads, hurting their bottom line. But it also means you spend most of your time in game waiting.

You don’t get to make meaningful choices. You just click to unlock a region, then wait until you have earned enough to unlock tiles in your new region. Rinse and repeat. The strategic side of this game is nearly nonexistent. The frequency of forced ads are better than some games, but that is frankly quite a low bar. They offer an option to pay to remove ads, but they charge a high price for it considering how insubstantial this game really is.

If your idea of a fun game is waiting around and mindlessly clicking to buy tiles while being force-fed ads, than this might be a game for you.

For the devs, here are some suggestions to make this an actually worthwhile game:
1. Increase the offline earning potential
2. Add meaningful strategic choices to the game.
3. Reduce the cost of the pay-to-remove-ads option or add substantial substance to make the current price actually worthwhile.
4. Don’t halt the player’s income while they are being forced to watch ads.
Makeamericagreat1986ck,
Waste of time
Paid to take away ads but it doesn’t matter they make the game so excruciatingly slow and then they throw TONS of crap at you to watch ads???? Didn’t I pay to not watch them? Ohhh you mean the ads you force me to watch every time I touch the screen not the other ones? Good effort, bad decision. The only thing I keep seeing a good point of is people saying the developer answers.. ehh not really if you actually read it. “Sorry stay tuned” “not every game is for everyone” what game is this for? People who like to stare at an ad screen 98% of the time they’re playing a game? Get real. There’s no upgrade options except income and speed and even then you’ve price it so high with in game currency it’s stupid long just saving that up. There’s no other options or upgrades on the buildings that are placed.

Don’t waste your time unless you a really are the .0001% of people who love to just watch ads for the smallest rewards available. Oh and over half the ads are crazy long, most clock in around 65 seconds.
