I learned something!
I’m a career print and computer-related technical professional for the past 40 years. I now have my first grandchild and need pictures for a brag book. While talking to my neighbor, she said, “I think I’m going to teach you something about computers that you don’t know”. I downloaded the app, selected photos, and was surprised that I don’t have to pay immediately on line. I went to my local Walgreens and there the photos were. I don’t need a photo-quality printer at home nor the hassle of trying to get the photos correct on the second or third try. This couldn’t be easier. It’s actually fun.

I name my photos that are destined for printing so that the name on the photo lets me know if I need more than one of them and, sometimes, who will get the photo besides me. That way, in viewing the photo, I can see instantly how many I need to order. Without the photo name, the whole process becomes slow and cumbersome when ordering. Also, the slow response time in previewing the photo and then going back to the ordering screen is a bit frustrating. I would like “snappier” performance. That is something that can be accomplished on the programming side of the app, not necessarily on my hardware end and on the transmission speed of my network. My experience with ordering photos yesterday was clumsy at best and I ordered less than I wanted (I’ll know for sure when I pick up my photos). So, if someone, particularly the programmer, reads this and is able to enhance the app, and the “back end” of the app, this might stimulate some improvement ideas. Interesting to note, however, I was using the PC (Windows) interface to order my pictures since I pull from file folders on my PC.

Good and Bad
Overall, pictures quality is okay and the fact you can pick them up in an hour is wonderful.
The app itself is also SUPER EASY and so quick. Love it!!!
Unfortunately, there is no "edit" feature so you have absolutely no option whatsoever as to what part of your picture you'd like printed. Only whatever is smack in the middle of your original photo is what you're going to get. If part of your pic is off-centered at all, the top, bottom, left and right of it will be cut out. So before you submit, draw an "imaginary circle" inside the middle of the photo, and that's what you'll get. If that works for you, you'll be pleased with the result.
But the worst part is, you don't even get the "preview" of the picture that will be printed until after you've submitted your order. Not good. You don't even have a chance to see it before you've already ordered it!! 😟

Not bad but could be better.
I went into a Walgreens store to print out some photos but the two kiosks there were occupied and an employee ask if I just need some prints and explained to me that the app would be much faster. The was much faster and it very convenient. The prints were done within 5 minutes. I’m sure sometimes it’s busier but either it was fast easy and super convenient. The only problem I have is some of the photos did not have the option for me to print in a 5x7 they only have the 4x4 and 8x8 on some photos and it does not have an explanation as to why. If the app had a few more functions such as editing and had a little more guidance as to what they need to do as how they may need to edit their photos in order to get the correct print size and quality.

Needs better communication
After not receiving any contact about my order for over a week (the confirmation email promised I’d get a shipping notification in 1-3 days), I became concerned that this app was fraudulent. There is no customer service phone number provided, just an email. The email I sent regarding my order status generated auto reply, then someone eventually got back to me explaining the delay, telling me how overwhelmed with orders they were. I was wrong about this app being fraudulent, but I would’ve appreciated more proactive communication to prevent fear over whether or not they had stolen my money. My photos arrived today, nearly two weeks later, but they are very good quality. My review reflects that, but also my overall experience.

Easy but No Edit and No Adding-On feature
I use this app because it’s quick and easy, but I often need to go back and open up an order just placed to add a few more photos to it. No luck there. Not only does it not have an option for you to view your photos how they will be printed, As soon as you click submit order, it exits you back to the Welcome screen assuming you don’t care to see even a thumbnail size of all the photos you just uploaded to print, and doesn’t give you an option to go back to that same order to add any more photos. So I’ve literally had three separate orders placed in one day - three separate packages at pick up, which is a waste of thick nice protective paper they keep the photos in.

7 5x7 A couple were developed incorrectly However Can’t complain The gal Duda wonderful job I need to contact her To correct those But what a wonderful job she did I am in a 82 year old lady with the start of dementia And in a wheel chair Need to get the corrections made when Donna is back on duty tonight Hopefully So I can give them out to the proper people I am in a wheel chair So don’t get out I will use WALGREENS APP AGAIN THANK YOU Donna And I think Robert That I talked with SONDRA BAUMGARDNER

Fix it.
I normally order photos from Shutterfly. But I needed my photos same day so I thought I'd give this a try. Ordering & picking up was super easy. Great!
However, the photos I ordered are not the photos I picked up. They were my photos, but they looked like a 7 year old was tasked with editing them to make them "better." They were indiscriminately zoomed and cropped, resulting in bad composition, resolution, and things being cropped out I didn't want cropped. When I called the store, the helpful woman I spoke with said this is a function of the iPhone app specifically: automated editing to make the photos "the best." Just no. If I order photos, I want them rendered as they are.
Luckily, she was nice enough to go back in and manually undo this insanity and re-print them for me. Not all employees would be so considerate. Fix it.

Very fast and convenient
I love the app. The pictures are usually always ready before the scheduled time. I just walk in pick them up and pay . I’m usually out of the store in seconds. The only thing is make sure you edit and adjust the picture before submitting it. I’ve had a couple pictures cropped someone out because I did not double check. That is my fault, I should have double checked haha . Overall love the app!

Walgreen’s photos from i-type devices
Why not offer a service to allow a customer to upload photos to Walgreens; allow customer to resize etc. then download it to customer’s i-type device so they can print photos on their own home printer(s). Not to say for free, but for less than what we pay now. Walgreens would save cost of employee interaction and paper?
