CaraDaCrazy,
Communication error
I adore this game as far as I have played, one of my all-time favorites. As a matter of fact, I’ve played the prologue at least five times over the last few years. The pixel art is beautiful, and there is a good balance of both storyline dialogue and gameplay. Also, the music never seems to get old.
I have only one problem, and it’s pretty big. The reason I’ve only ever played the prologue is because when I attempt to purchase the full game, I can only manage to get to the Apple ID confirmation. Afterwards, when a game would usually accept the purchase, the game claims there is a “communication error.” It doesn’t take the money because of this though, thank goodness. I researched the problem and found others have had very similar issues. No one has been able to access the full game unless they download it on another platform.
Considering this has been overlooked since the last update five years ago, it is unlikely anyone will get the message, but I’m sending it anyways, just in case.

If this was read, thank you for your time. Wether you have the resources to act upon this issue or not.
Schattenmeister001,
Good game, same series problems
FFD is a great game in the series. It has vibrant colors, great story, fun characters, classic battles, and the rest of the great tropes that final fantasy is known. Now however, it suffers from the same flaws that many FF games on IOS suffer as well. To name them would not do those who found them any justice because their voices have have fallen on deaf ears for months and even years. All one has to do is read the previous comments of most of the mainline FF games and the issues will be laid bare. I will again write my concern within these archives of praise and concern but this time another game joins the fold of past problems. FFD was a full screen game and now the resolution has been reduced. This games joins FF1, FF2, FF5, FF6, FF7, and FF9 insomuch as this is a persistent problem that has not been resolved or even addressed for a long time. I again ask what I asked on the July 2020 update of FF7. Square, do you read these reviews? Do you respond to your customers praise and concerns? Do you care?
Gandil,
Worth the money
This is by far the best Final Fantasy RPG mobile game if you are a fan of the classic nes/snes games. The story is gets a little predictable as you progress through the game but the characters are entertaining and you have all the classic elements such as job classes, spells, weapons and lots to explore. One feature which I️ absolutely love is the “auto battle” which speeds up the battle sequence for your random encounters. It makes grinding and leveling up so much less painful. The one negative thing I️ have to say is that the game takes over and does way too much “talking” and cut scenes for the story progression. Sometimes I️ just want to keep battling and moving forward and instead there’s 10 mins of talking and character interaction. Once it’s over and you move on to the next cave or castle it takes over again. Other than that this game is great and I play it about once per year since it’s so much fun.
Psycho Fish,
An AMAZING game!
Despite the $14 cost for the full game, it is worth the purchase! It has a great story, great music, great gameplay, and while playing it I felt as if I was replaying one of the classic FF games. The job system is probably one of my favorite aspects; not only because of the selection of jobs but also how it takes what made the job system in FFV great and makes it even greater! The only negative thing that I have to say is that it can get REALLY difficult at times, but that isn't anything to really complain about.
Overall Final Fantasy Dimensions is an amazing game that captures the feel and recreates the experience of playing a classic FF game. If you can, I would recommend buying the full game!
_WolfSpirit,
To good to be true.
I've gone on a little Final Fantasy kick recently so downloaded all the free FF games today. Most of them are... Okay. They're almost all the same thing in different wrapping to be honest and none feel like final fantasy except for maybe Brave Exvius and even that has the sin of an energy system currency you need to buy with real money to get better things, just sit there and tap or swipe the screen in an endless battle, etc. it at least has a story and exploration option unlike most...
But I digress... I ran across this and was blown away at first. It was pure old school original final fantasy. Menu system, sounds, graphics and all. And I was loving it, but only played for about a minute when I realized it had to be to good to be true. Then I checked the description and it sure enough is. $15 to get the whole thing... Outrageous! For a spine off mobile app of a game series, that is way too much no matter the quality. It's a nice game to be sure but it shouldn't cost so much. I can download free, fan made alternatives or even play a flash game of equal quality for free.
Evilknights,
Great FF game
I e played every final fantasy game to date (some more than others) and I personally believe that this was a great job at getting back to the roots and giving the player freedom to customize there party. Story wise it's a pretty nice change up with the two separate parties that merge later on. It requires you to form two separate parties rather than choosing a team at the beginning and never changing out your roster. The class system is fantastic. It's one of the best they've put out in ages. I managed to 100% it after days of playing. The only downside is it will keep you on your phone for hours. Hopefully you have a charger with you.
ChrisCat04,
Solid throwbacks, great game
The old school FF1-6 feeling of gameplay with the sprites, equipment, and diverse party is great. The in-depth job system expands on what III and V built allowing you to really build a party of your own. Finally, the story, splitting into two teams and allowing you to experience two separate, concurrent stories was a really enjoyable part that made it so the game never felt too grindy or too mush of a slog since you could grind a few lvls/job lvls and then swap to the next party for a breath of fresh air.

Only thing it lacks is a post-game since it is just 3 bosses repeated with no real reason past that. Still a solid optional challenge compared to other titles... looking at you FFVI.
Bardwayer,
Play this instead of FF5
It’s a shame that this was the only new mobile FF that’s an actual game and isn’t built around micro transactions like Brave Exvius and Mobius. This game is almost identical to Final Fantasy 5 in its art style, use of the job system, and unoriginal plot but at least it doesn’t take itself too seriously and can still be appreciated for its campiness. This time you have two parties, the Warriors of Light and Warriors of Darkness, each receiving different jobs that cause them to be developed quite differently. And this game is hard. Set ATB to active, crank the battle speed all the way up and prepare to die multiple times to bosses just like the good old days.
OPERATION-T4,
RPGs
Prologue was great. Only problem so far is the way the exp shows after a battle. It's a little confusing and hard to tell how much each person is actually getting from each battle, which is important if you want to focus on leveling a certain person being that it seems like each character gets different amounts from certain types of monsters.
Otherwise great game and I'll be purchasing the full game as soon as I can.
FF8/FF9 for mobile...I seriously cant believe you people are slacking on this. It should've been in the works years ago, as well as more games like the old Nintendo ones.
Hop to!
Kegfreak,
Best Original RPG for smartphones.
So when I looked at the reviews and decided to play this game, I went ahead and bought the full game instead of the game in chunks. It was a classic Final Fantasy experience for me and was well written. I have personally put 71 plus hours into this game and all my characters are maxed out. This game towards the end amps up the difficulty level because the game expects you to have already learned all the mechanics of the game and will throw everything all you. Over all I think I have gotten my 14 dollars worth out of this game. This is a true Final Fantasy game and does not disappoints.
