Follett Notifications Hack 1.2 + Redeem Codes

This app was fine for the first semester when I wanted notifications for my grades in each class. It was nice because when I clicked on the notification it showed me what my average grade was in that class after that assignment. This semester I was getting the notifications but the grade just said null so I figured I had to wait a while for it to fix. 3 months later it still wasn’t fixed so I decided to logout and log back in to see if that helped. Except I couldn’t log back in for the life of me. I checked my password a million times and I had the correct url, it had even saved the information from the time before so I new it was accurate. I deleted the app and redownloaded, restarted my phone and tried so many different things but it kept saying “unknown error.” I don’t know what’s wrong with it but I keep getting notifications for grades but I can’t even see what class it was I when I go in regular aspen I can’t find where that grade came from. Somebody please help me fix this.

I could see this being good if you only have one child, I have grades coming in for 3 children and can’t figure out which grade is for whom right at a glance of the notifications page, that is until you open it. Would it be difficult to add students initials? Color coordinated? Also have a problem where I lose track of where I was being that the previous notification I had just opened didn’t turn a different color when I read the grade,. Maybe you could have it turn a darker shade or even possibly a check mark. Needs some updates but it is a great tool to have at the tip of your fingers.

You are happy to find the app in the store, the login looks legit and takes the schools URL and login credentials. Then you get updated from the school (outside of Aspen) that info is posted on ASPEN… but all you can see is the “Welcome…” notification with options to view the About, Settings and can Logout. I waited a week to see if anything would sync up and nothing. I ended up just logging in via a browser and making a “homepage” link on my phone - so much easier! It’s been 7-8 years since an update (2014?).

I’ll take this is a clear sign as to why this app is not posted anywhere on the school systems sites??

Perhaps there’ll be an update soon with much better overall functionality with the app. It could be a great, useful, informative and up-to-date app too!

It works really well, other than the fact that after the summer ended my grades stopped showing up, and I had to completely log out and log back in. After I logged back in I got all my notifications, and ones from last year that I now have to delete. The other issue is I can’t delete all the notifications at once, I have to go through and delete them one by one. I really wish they would fix these problems but I feel like they won’t, so I’m just writing this as a warning make sure to delete the notifications right after u read them.

Still useless. Now I am able to log in. For the log on button to appear, you need to move your ‘mouse’ from the password credential area to where they ask you to put in the school link. Now that I am in, i have a blank screen. A menu on the top right with options for setting and log out. If I click on settings I get an error message. Very inefficient app. I work for a software company that caters to schools and organizations. Both your app and website are not for ‘beginners’. You can’t talk to your customers the way you talk to each other.

No enter button once I put in my credentials. Useless.

I don’t know what Follett charges schools but I’m sure it’s enough that they could pay someone to make a proper Aspen mobile app. Instead, they created this, which essentially shows a massive list of items which all say “Student grade notification” with a timestamp. The only way to find a specific assignment or class average is to go through them until you happen upon what you’re looking for. Additionally, the app has black bars, is blurry, and has excessively large text on my iPhone XR.
I literally prefer to use the desktop website (which is also bad) in Safari as opposed to having this app installed.

There needs to be a group delete/delete all to remove notifications. There should also be a way to view multiple kids and distinguish between them. This needs major work to actually be a useful app. Like other users I did not use this over the summer, got kicked out. When I finally got signed back in I had three years worth of notifications to delete - which I had been deleting all along. Unfortunately, if I want my kids grades on the go this is the only option - so I guess they don’t have to improve it because I’ll still use it. If I could give it a half star I would

I have done everything required to log on to aspen Follett via my iPhone and iPad and it keeps indicating invalid login. Even changed browsers. However, when I use my desktop no problem at all logging in. Very frustrating. Called aspen support and they kept referring me to the school even though I told them the school indicated there’s nothing else they can do. Corporate didn’t show any concern and was very curt when they found out I was a parent. Don’t get me wrong, the Aspen system is great! Just doesn’t work on my Apple iPhone or iPad and no one offers any additional sources for resolution.

When you update the password it stops working at all, even if you erase and try again. If it ever comes back up need option to clear out old grades en masse rather than years of grades individually.

To clear the app from last year’s grades I tried logging out and back in. It won’t show grades orlet me see settings. Erased app and reloaded. Still blank. Now what?? When it worked last year I would have liked to be able to see a preview showing the grades on the main page without going into every one individually. But now I see nothing so I can’t use it.

when I get a notification, I have no clue as to which class it is for. My teachers put in broad names in for our grades so some grades I cannot tell which class it is from. Also,personally, deleting each notification one by one makes me-quite honestly-want to cry. I was trying to clear out my notifications because OCD and I tried logging out and logging back in but all of my notifications from the beginning of the year came back and I lost it. and now I have to delete every single notification one by one which is not working for me.
