The CBS Radio Mystery indeed heralded the revival of the Golden Age of Radio.
With the fine actor E. G. Marshall as the host, the series brought
back those great days of mystery, suspense, drama and a touch of history. At
first it aired daily, a monumental task when you consider this. But after some
six years it went to five times a week. Mr. Marshall hosted the series
until its final year when Tammy Grimes took over the chore on Feb 1, 1982.
For the most part long-time radio personalities were heard with a smattering
of TV and movie actors doing their part. Almost all of the story lines were
newly written and produced, but there were some adaptions based on novels by
Edgar Allan Poe, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Victor Hugo, O.
Henry, Nathaniel Hawthorne to name a few. The end of the series came quite
quickly in early December 1982 with re-runs filling in the balance of the
year.

WHY is this STILL here?!?!
This... WAS a great app to use to listen to the old CBS radio Mystery Theater episodes.
BUT; for well over a year (or MORE!!!) it's been inactive (there's a 'gone fishing'sign when one launches the app)
Does ANYONE bother to make sure things are STILL in working order (HELLO, Apple!!), and, if this IS indeed kaput, someone could do a LOT of the radio show fans a favour by either relaunching this, it conjoint up with a new iteration.

Blast from the past
Listened to these when I was a kid. Listen to it now when working around the house or just to relax. Can see all the action with my imagination. Far better than what I find on tv. Glad I searched the web and found it.

I listened to these 4 shows while walking- made the time go by fast and they were so interesting! Wish they had more than four shows here! Reminded me of when I was a kid- I even loved those old commercials!

Huge Disappointment
I was excited to find this app because I wanted listen to these great stories. They stir up wonderful childhood memories of listening to these with my best friend. I am so very disappointed by the “gone fishing” sign instead of the stories! Will the stories ever be available?

Out of Order
Bummer…been trying to get this for a while but it’s clearly not working. Not sure if it’s an Apple thing or the app. Regardless, it would be nice to hear the old shows. Always kept me awake as a kid.

App is inoperable
The app does not work at all. It's simply has a sign which says "gone fishin." In the alternative, there is an awesome app called "Old Time Radio" which contains not only the CBS radio mystery theater episodes, but many, many more!

What is this?
This app does not allow you access to CBS Radio Mystery Theater. There are 4 episodes of SOMETHING (no idea what, cause it doesn’t tell). Pointless. Do not download.
