Follow the guidance and see your fitness improve!

* Activity Status: a daily alternative to Activity Path focused on now.
* Sneak Peek: swipe LEFT on the Activity Path to see predicted position for the next days and plan active days
* Wellbeing: keep track of your wellness through sleeping heart rate (SHR) or resting heart rate (when SHR is unavailable), sleep duration, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, wrist temperature and period tracking.

* Yorhart character: mirrors your daily readiness.

Version history

4.0.1

The wait is over, as the moment we've been working towards all summer has arrived! You can now use Gentler Streak on three Apple devices and all on the latest OS versions. Nerd on for details, or jump straight to the UPDATE button if you can no longer wait.

NEW Gentler Streak for iPad
Following the introduction of Health to iPadOS 17, we are super happy to be making a debut on the platform, breathing life into the newly reachable health information from day dot! The iPad app has an optimized experience on the larger screen and features unique perks: a 30-day Activity Path and revamped workout summaries, the ones shining the brightest.

WatchOS 10
This update nudges user-friendliness up a notch! You will notice the redesigned UI (colourful backgrounds, woop woop), NEW widgets, revamped Go Gentler appearance and newly added cycling metrics - power, cadence, and speed. Remember, to display power and cadence, you need a Bluetooth power meter or cadence sensor. However, the current cycling speed is visible without the additional hardware.

iOS 17
It's all about the widgets! Use the StandBy widgets to monitor a Go Gentler suggestion and/or your current fitness condition at a distance. Start a suggested Go Gentler workout directly from an iPhone's home screen with the help of an interactive widget!
Live activities/in-app mirroring is available from previous versions but still coming in hot.

Fresh New Visuals
The insights section got a visual makeover, creating a more cohesive and engaging experience. Each insight comes with a thumbnail that, upon a tap, unfolds its own little story. While Yorhart takes center stage in most of these stories, we've introduced occasional cameos to keep things fresh and avoid repetition.

And now to you! Update, try it out, and let us know what you think:

2023-08-23
Hey, gentler folks!

It's all about getting ready for September ... With this version, we are introducing iCloud and shooing some bugs away. Due to iCloud support, we have to wave au-revoir to iOS 13 and iOS 14. It was nice while it lasted!

NEW
iCloud Support
Your settings are now safely stored on iCloud. If you delete and reinstall the app, your data, like name, profile pic, personalized heart rate zones, ... will remain intact.
As mentioned, we no longer support iOS 13 and iOS 14 due to iCloud integration.

IMPROVEMENTS
Apple Watch Bug Repaired
We have done an oopsie with the distance metric VoiceOver, which is now fixed.

That's that! Let us know if we managed to break anything or if you have any other feedback:

2023-07-21
Hello hello!

While we are working on our new iPad app (woop woop) and bringing iOS and watchOS up to speed for the big September launch, here is a quick update with some fixes.

Elevation Charts Are Back!
On our Apple Watch workout tracker, you may have noticed elevation chart was missing in action. It is now back and should reflect your current location properly.

Imperfect = I'm perfect --- yeah, but not with grammar
You've pointed out some typos, which are now goners. If you notice more creeping about, let us know!

Also, those who live in the future will be happy to hear we have resolved some of the detected issues. Youknowwhatwemeanright.

A lot is new with this version! You can start using the app in Brazilian Portuguese, track 15 additional workouts with our Apple Watch, experience improved GPS tracking and see injured and sick days become a part of your streak. Keep reading for more info, or jump on the UPDATE button.

NEW
15 more workout types to track
One of the two important highlights of this version is the addition of fifteen workout types that you can track alongside 109 workouts already available in our Apple Watch app!

The new workout types are: quadball, racing, trail running, snowshoeing, disc golf, ultimate frisbee, ski touring, foot biking, pole dancing, mobility exercises, stroller jogging, stroller walking, and also guide dog walking, and goalball.

Brazilian-Portuguese is joining English and Spanish
In our mission to make the app as accessible as possible, localization was always important to us, and it makes us happy we can now start addressing it properly. We are proud to share that people speaking Brazilian-Portuguese can now use Gentler Streak in their mother tongue! In the coming months, we plan to add support for more European languages and later focus on Asia.

IMPROVEMENTS
Two more things
We've resolved the GPS tracking issue that some users may have experienced. After updating the app to the latest version, you will be greeted with a What's New banner, which comes with guidance on how to solve the issue.

A subtle but important change to the monthly Activity Recap has happened. Now, if you log any sick or injured days during the month, those days will be a part of your streak, as resting on those days is the best action to support your body.

That's all, folks! Having any thoughts? Share them via:

Follow our TW @gentler_app or IG @gentlerstreak, where we will share our WWDC highlights.

And now to business, shall we!

IMPROVEMENTS
Menstrual Cycle
We have prolonged duration for irregular and regular period cycle. The irregular period cycle now goes up to 120 days, and the period duration can last to 15 days in an irregular cycle and up to 10 days in a regular cycle.
If you are experiencing issues with changing your period type, you can now go back and change it.

FAQ
We have added some more FAQs to the list, which you can find on your Gentler Streak profile.

BIG update time!

This cheeky new health metric has been occupying us since March, and we are delighted to share it with you on this International Day of Action for Women's Health - all hail the menstrual cycle!

With it, our guidance now aligns even more closely with a woman's readiness throughout the month.

Guys, no need to fret, you won't be affected by our cycle in any way, you won't even notice it happening! And if you do, it's a whoopsie, and we'd like to know about it. HOWEVER, there is a NEW insight - "Returning after a setback" - which might interest you as it shares some clever ideas on how to ... well, return after a setback. OK, you are now free to tap that Update button!

NEW
Menstrual Cycle - the New Health Metric
Dear ladies, we are about to be heard on a deeper level! After updating, you'll go through a quick onboarding process to get you started. Once completed, the menstrual cycle will appear as a health metric on the Wellbeing tab.

It comes with:
- Valuable info on the exact phase of the cycle and its potential impact on daily wellbeing
- Activity guidance adjusted to your readiness
- "Flow Workouts", a set of activities appropriate for the first days of the period, is a part of Go Gentler suggestions
- Self-care Yorhart on Streak to remind you to be gentle with yourself
- Insights on each phase of the menstrual cycle

GOOD TO KNOW
While we include vital parts of the menstrual cycle in our guidance, we let the specialized apps handle the rest.

Also, a word on a highly sensitive and individual matter - pregnancy. As each body is different and carries the baby their own way, and we are no medical professionals, we concluded including guidance through the pregnancy would not be responsible. Your doctor should be the main source of support and advice to keep it safe. Thank you for your understanding.

We are definitely keen to see how this update acts in the wild. Hopefully, it will add to self-understanding and self-compassion and help us move through the month a notch more self-aware. Please, do let us know how it goes:

It's spring where we're sitting, so we've decided on some essential housecleaning! We've also added two sections (Tips & Tricks and FAQ) on how to get the most out of your fave fitness tracker. Let's go!

NEW
Tips & Tricks
We put together some insider tips on how we, the team behind the app, get to squeeze the most out of it! Open Gentler Streak, go to your profile and become a gentler pro yourself.

FAQ
While at it, we also answered a list of the most asked questions and made them available in your Gentler Streak profile.

Upgrade To a Newer Version
The Apple Watch will remind you to update the app if it detects the newer version on iPhone.

Two Insights
Learn what is behind that Activity Path of yours and how to optimize your fitness with its help. The second insight shares some ideas on how to help your body recover after workout. Find both articles on the Insights tab with a badge NEW.

IMPROVEMENTS
watchOS APP
Elevation Gain was .. well, not gaining. It now is, and it will show in your workout summaries.

iOS APP
Swimming Summary
Swimming summaries took time to open, but have now caught up.

Multi-sport Summary
With our accessibility update, we managed to break the summary for multi-sports. Yikes. It's rehabilitated.

Sweating it out Message
This Streak message appeared even after you finished the sweating. It now leaves the building on time. True hero.

Wellbeing tab
If you are on iOS15 with reduced motion, you may have been experiencing crashes. May have. What is now certain is that the trouble is gone.
Tapping a certain health metric always takes you to that metric - before, it could act a bit random at times.

Our Wellbeing beast has been out there for over a week now, and you have been of great help in detecting where and what to improve! Thanks to you, we could find and tackle those pesky culprits trying to cause a bit of a ruckus.

If you have yourself stumbled upon any sour surprises, please see below if today is your happy Gentler day.

WELLBEING SECTION
Lower Oxygen Levels
In cases when your oxygen saturation level is constantly lower than what is considered normal, and you are used to living with it, and it does not affect your wellbeing, that data will no longer bring your daily summary down.

False Sleep Duration Estimate
If you saw a lower duration in Gentler Streak than in the Health app, this one is for you! The data should now be 1:1.

False "Insufficient Data" Warning
If you wear your watch at night but get the annoying message about missing data, you're a step away from smashing that screen. The issue seems to be fixed.

"1 Night Left" - Seeing it More Days in a Row
If you started wearing your watch at night to gain from Wellbeing and are still on the countdown, you might have gotten stuck on *1 night left* for a bit longer than just that one night. Hopefully, it's acting fine now.

Closing The Health Metric Cards
Closing the health metric cards got smoother because we all need and deserve a bit of smoothness in our lives.

GENERAL
Logging Workouts That Overlap
The app got utterly confused when logging two or more workouts with overlapping durations. We invested some time in it, and overlapping should no longer be problematic.

Super happy (and a bit nervous) to present our most important release after the Apple Watch tracker! You can now access your key health data and fitness information - in one place. To make sense of all that data, you don't have to be a fitness nerd - we put extra care into making it intuitive and easy to grasp.

Curious? Here it comes!

NEW
Wellbeing Tab
With this new layer of information, we aim to help you understand your body even better, identify changes, and take adequate action sooner. Wellbeing, including the key health metrics, will greet you daily with a brief analysis of your current state.
- Key Health Metrics - sleeping or resting heart rate, sleep duration, heart rate variability (HRV), wrist temperature, respiratory rate and oxygen levels
- Daily Wellbeing Summary - with Yorhart expressing your state
- Metric Charts - 10-day chart for every metric

Resting Becomes an Action
The Go Gentler suggestions adjust if your health data indicates poor wellbeing. In that case, the first Go Gentler hint is a prompt to rest. Go for "Today I Choose Rest", and your daily status will adapt.

New Fitness Conditions
By gaining new knowledge about what goes on in your body, new, more exact descriptions of your fitness state, are now possible on the Streak tab.

Revamped Yorhart
Apart from getting a touch-up, our character Yorhart comes in more variations to cover added fitness conditions – lack of sleep, feverishness, and exhaustion. We've also thrown in some variations for the most common fitness states.

New iMsg Stickers
Check all Yorhart variants in the updated iMessage stickers.

Refined Onboarding
For everyone new to gentler ways. Welcome to the bunch!

If you are wondering if there will be "a score" of your health, here's our view: "We avoid putting your daily form into a score, percentage, or body battery concept. To make a healthier lifestyle more accessible and do justice to data, we communicate in simple words, as in everyday life. Our approach hopefully provides clearer insight into personal wellbeing and has the power to motivate people of all fitness levels and backgrounds."

Good To Know
- Wearing your watch during sleep gives the most accurate results, as they come with the least noise.
- We suggest checking if your device records all six health metrics to ensure you can access all Wellbeing features.
- You can personalize Wellbeing by hiding metrics your watch doesn't record (in Gentler Streak Settings) and by setting personal sleep goal directly on the Sleep Duration card
- All health data stays on your device at all times, with the app only reading and writing data to the Health app and never taking any information with it.
- Daily information on Wellbeing is free for all, while complete access is a Premium feature
- Not a fan of wearing your watch at night? No worries; the app is still perfectly functional, even without this extra layer.

This is our first take on health, and the functionality will evolve with time. The next updates will include push notifications, new health widgets, and complications. Menstrual cycle and health trends are on the horizon.

Excited to deliver another useful feature with a slight Gentler twist! You can now mirror Apple Watch workout tracking to the big screen with Live Activity and our unique in-app solution. Great for all activities when you can keep your phone right there in front of you.

*NEW*
Live Activity with a Gentler twist
As expected, the Live Activity is available on iPhone in the Notification Center and Dynamic Island. But we could not stop there. So, now our iPhone app offers a unique Live Activity experience, transforming the entire screen into a visually stunning tracker.

Good to know
- Live Activity is a premium feature, but everyone can get a taste of it as the first session is free for all - you decide when you want to use it
- Ensure to allow us to send push notifications, as once you start recording a workout on your Apple Watch, you receive a prompt to mirror the Activity to your iPhone.
- You can start mirroring with any workout type, but push notifications only come with these - Indoor Run, Indoor Walk, Indoor Cycle, Indoor Recumbent Cycling, Indoor Row, Elliptical, Cross Training, Strength Training, Mind And Body, Play, Preparation And Recovery, Stair Stepper, Strength Training, Yoga, Barre, Core Training, Flexibility, HIIT, HIIT – Uphill, Jump Rope, Pilates, Step Training, Wheelchair Walk Pace, Wheelchair Run Pace, Mixed Cardio, Fitness Gaming, Cooldown
- To keep it timely, we are trying out a new mid-workout status.

Compatibility Facts
- Live Activity is available for everyone on iOS 16.1 and up
- Dynamic Island is available for all with iPhone 14
- Mirror Tracking in our iPhone app is available to all on iOS15 and up

A hint from the team
We have learned that tracking a workout on our iPhone helps tremendously with pacing ourselves and staying inside a certain HR zone.

*IMPROVEMENTS*

- Incrementing the timer and mid-workout notifications should now be more reliable (feedback most welcome)
- Action button on Ultra now starts a workout even from the previous workout summary

Thank YOU for fuelling our motivation with your amazing support throughout this year. Our heads are turned to the future as we look to continue materializing our vision and exploring our journey with you.

*NEW*
Festive Icon
Let's end the year in style: our bauble glittery heart is free for all!

Health Tab
Before you go wild on the champers to celebrate a new section - it's only a teaser of what is coming SOON. For the time being, it will serve as a notice board, so you will (more or less) always know how far along we are and when the actual countdown can begin.

While there may be no snow outside the window, we ensured there would be some inside the screen. But, if the snow does decide to honour you with its presence, don't forget to run the "Shovelling" activity on your Apple Watch. No activity left behind, and all that nonsense.

Winter Wonderland Theme
From the 20th of December till the 3rd of January, Yorhart of the North is cruising the Winter Wonderland. However, if you are more on the Grinch side and want the original theme back - we got you. Open Gentler Streak profile > Settings > Appearance > Regular.

Active Calories Unit
You can now set kcal or kJ for your workout summaries. Find the setting in your Gentler Streak profile > Settings > Active Energy > Kcal / kJ.

Soccer Map Now Optional
Choose whether you want a map in your workout summary when tracking a soccer session. Open Gentler Streak on your Apple Watch, find Soccer activity type > swipe right > tap the green button - Settings > Motion > Track Location ON.

We have only been out since February and could not be prouder that our mission and efforts are seen and recognized on this level. ¡Hola, beautiful people!

Ready for one BIG autumn update? Let's go!

Versions' highlights:
- Spanish Localization
- Add Workout Manually
- Estimate Workouts' Intensity (RPE Scale)
- Go Gentler Widget & Complication
- Updated Algorithm

NEW
Spanish Localization
Super excited to announce our first localization is now live! If your iOS is in Spanish, Gentler Streak cambiará automáticamente de inglés a español.
If not, you can still access the language by opening Settings > Gentler Streak > Preferred Language > Espanol

A big shout out to Fran Besora, whose brilliant work and dedication made this possible! Fran, it's a joy working with you; you are an absolute star. Thank you.

Add Workout Manually
Contact sports, dead battery, watch left at home, ... no longer pose a problem for Activity Path's accuracy, since you can add the missed workout by hand.

Details you log in: workout type, date and start time, duration, intensity (RPE method), calories, distance.

Estimate Workouts' Intensity
Let your efforts reflect in the Activity Path with the help of the RPE (Rated Perceived Exertion). RPE is a scale from 0 (No Effort) to 10 (Maximum Effort), where you mark how easy/difficult the workout felt for you.

You can make self-assessment for:
- workouts added by hand - for your effort to reflect in the Activity Path (Where to find it: Activities > +button)
- logged workouts - to improve accuracy, if needed (Where to find it: Workout Summary > Perceived Exertion)

Gentler Twist: To provide context for your self-assessment, the RPE scale shows your usual exertion range for all workout types you have previously logged. When rating how the activity felt, you can tap the "As Usual" button, and the thumb will set on your average exertion position for that workout type. Adjust the scale manually if the workout is outside the usual.

"Go Gentler" Widget and Complication
The widget and complication collect information from the Go Gentler feature and show your optimal workout suggestion on the Lock Screen, Home Screen and Watch Complication.

IMPROVEMENTS
Algorithm Upgrade
Optimized experience for everyone new to the Apple Watch.

You made it through the longest What's New in the history of the App Store, congrats!

Now it's time to update and enjoy the (Spanish?) melodies. Enjoy.

HTUCK,
Wanted to love it and back together!
Paid for the subscription and in the beginning it worked fine, but after a few workouts the app just kept spinning when trying to save the workout. Contacted customer support and I was advised to restart my watch. I went along believing it would work only having to restart my watch ( an ultra btw ) after every workout. I contacted support again only to have them ask me to use the Apple fitness application which I do not like using because the problem persisted and they had a poor solution for it. The only good thing out of this ridiculous journey is for me to find another app is very consistent at a reasonable price that provides accurate workout details and plays well with the fitness and health apps. I also learned to not trust the editors choice and app of the Year recommendations from Apple at face value. If you are reading, please try these apps out for at least 2 weeks before subscribing. UPDATED 2/26
World class support!
The app devs and support staff worked tirelessly to fix the app and with a quick update the app is working flawlessly. It is by far the best and most reasonably priced fitness app out there. The features in the app for the iPhone and Apple Watch are refined and accurate. Well done. You have one happy loyal customer.
KRKapple,
Still needs a bit of work
UPDATE: We still aren’t getting anything to show our steps as activity in this app. That’s a critical issue here. We shouldn’t have to log our daily steps as workouts to record the activity. I’ve tried doing this to have a more accurate picture of wellbeing and actually have the app saying I’m overreaching when it’s not that hard to walk throughout the day, taking breaks in between. Developers need to find a way to work this into the algorithm for the app. As it stands it seems that while other apps ignore the need for customization based on individual abilities/needs this app ignores the need to have basic data at its core. We need to meet somewhere in the middle here ASAP.
————
I like the app but there are area it needs work; 1) The new Wellbeing tab and syncing with Health is good, but why doesn’t it show our steps? and why aren’t our streaks reflecting our walking throughout the day? This needs attention ‼️ 2) I’ve had to edit sleep in other apps as it over estimated my time sleeping. But then this app shows “Insufficient data” under the Wellbeing tab.🤨 The day is there? I just corrected it so that the record is accurate. This shouldn’t be a problem. 3) One of the reasons I’ve liked this app is the ability to do things at our own pace. I don’t like the “reminders” about exercising or losing a streak. A streak shouldn’t rely solely on workouts but also steps. See point 1.
Jules032,
The best fitness app
I just switched from years of using a Garmin to Apple Watch primarily because I wanted to try Gentler Streaks. So far I am very impressed. I am not a huge stats person. Lots of graphs and stats overstimulate me and give me a headache so I really love the interface of this app. It gives me all of the information I need in a very user friendly, easy to understand way. I’m also not an elite athlete. Im just a 44 year old mom trying to stay as fit as I can and this app is really helpful for that! I am very excited about the new update and I think that addition will really put Gentler Streaks over the top in comparison to some of the other apps out there. If I was to give any criticism it would be that there is no way to edit a workout. I would like to be able to rename my workouts and occasionally edit the distance if the app distance doesn’t match up to what my treadmill or bike says. It would also be nice if it would track steps and offer a complication for steps. I understand why they might not want to focus on step goals etc as this app is focused more on being reasonable and gentler on ourselves but I do like to get in a minimum amount of steps per day and look at it as a valuable metric. Thanks for making such an awesome app!

Best App for a Healthy Relationship with Exercise
I practice intuitive eating and HAES, which means that I explicitly focus on how movement helps my body rather than on calorie burn etc. This is great, but it also means I gave up my usual super motivating factors to exercise, such as closing my Apple Watch rings. For about a year, I struggled to find a new way to motivate myself that felt in alignment with my values.

Enter gentler streak! This app has been a game changer in helping to motivate me while still listening to what my body needs. It’s really helpful to see fitness mapped out on a line and get a visual reminder that rest, and not overworking yourself, are important! I also really appreciate the recent updates with the suggested workouts (takes the thought of it which my neurodivergent brain loves!) and the option to remove the food equivalents for calorie burn.

My only suggestions would be to have an option to remove calorie counts completely and to “hide” certain articles as they can be somewhat triggering and counterintuitive to someone trying to develop a healthier relationship with their body and movement. All and all though this app is really wonderful with no comparison on the market. I’m excited to see where else the app goes.
Jaie,
I don’t feel so guilty if I don’t over-achieve
I routinely use Gentler on my watch instead of Apple Fitness. For me, it’s easier and quicker to get this one started and to tell it pause and then stop. I arranged the activities so that the one I use most is at the top of the list, which is very handy.

The other thing is that this app has a much more realistic idea of how often and how much I can go-go-go, and is nice enough to point out that Zone 2 is fat-busting, when I was being hard on myself about not working harder. Very encouraging!

There’s no pressure to do more than I have time or stamina or strength to do. At first, Gentler was very concerned that I needed to slow down. (I actually needed to change my goal.)

There have been weeks when I haven’t gotten very many workout sessions in, and I get a gentle reminder that I needed to be consistent. No guilt trip, though.

The only problem I have is that I keep forgetting to end my session, and two hours later I look down and see that it’s still going. And sometimes my watch needs charging but I still workout and the app doesn’t know it. Would be great if there was a way to take out or edit a workout that appears much longer than it should be, or add one when I didn’t wear my watch.

I didn’t think I would like this so much, but it’s a good motivator for someone like me who is trying to workout to improve physical and mental health, but is not an athlete, and has other things to get done too.
Cleo of Ann Arbor,
Great app! Could be even better.
I love the concept and the delivery of this app. I appreciate being able to take a pause and tweak settings so I can prevent disordered eating triggers and I can modify the level of rigor of the app. I love the positivity and that I feel like I can come back after an illness or rough mental health week. I also love that it takes my physical health into consideration helps me keep an eye on my metrics. I can even tell when I don’t use my CPAP machine for a night, which keeps me motivated to use the machine!

Features I would love to see, as a currently subscribed user: - Goals. I don’t always have time or energy to work out daily, but I’m not “sick” or “on a break”. Streaks (the app that inspired this app) allows me to adjust the timeframe that I complete my goals, such as 3x per week. In Gentler Streaks, I’d love to be able to set my fitness goals at 3x per week and then if I fall behind, the app lets me know if I need to “step up my game.” - Ability to modify messages. I would like to be able to change the text, for instance where it says “Step up your game.” Making the app more customizable would be better for everyone, no matter the desired level of rigor. Adding these features would make this a 5-star app.
Eddiemoto,
I use them all
I have been using several HRV monitoring apps as well as Gentler Streak. This is my favorite, let me tell you why.

I’m absolutely the guy that pushes himself too hard. I have to admit that I keep my score in the top end most of the time and often exceed the recommendation. That’s the beauty of it, I know and have learned to take more days off without guilt.

I’ve noticed less burn out. I have a pattern. I go hard for about six or seven weeks and then just burn out. Burn out for me means I’m 100% off the train. I eat poorly, sleep poorly and don’t exercise at all. When I rest more, I go much longer before I burnout. Actually, I probably don’t burn out until I decide to ignore the recommendations.

All the HRV tools. They are all over the place. One will tell me to rest, the other tells me I’m sick and the third may tell me I died two days ago. This tool, tends to track to more Jim how I’m actually feeling but just helps me stay reasonable.

I’m looking forward to some of the upcoming changes in the app and am curious how the HRV features will help or break the current recommendations. I hope it gets a solid baseline and then sprinkles in some of the common sense built into this tool. I think the others are a little to rigid in the HRV baseline and zones.

Great tool folks. I feel this is really well suited for the overall wellness crowd. Let’s face it… the elite athletes will follow much more structured advise.
_JaKobe_,
Very pleasant interface. Possibly too gentle?
I just downloaded the app, and I REALLY enjoy the aesthetic of this application. It is very fun to interact with and I’m excited to check back in to see how it interprets my data.

I understand this app might be tailored to individuals who are just beginning their wellness/fitness/etc. journeys, but is there a way to raise the “overreaching” limit? Or possibly make the message more supportive? As soon as I plugged in my information Yorhart told me I was overreaching, when actually I’m feeling pretty enthusiastic about my training and life in general right now.

Or maybe the “overreaching” limit doesn’t need to be raised. But users are presented with goal options, and based on what goals we select Yorhart will support us differently?

- “Recovering from an injury? You might be overreaching.”

- “Hey there! Remember if your goal is to balance your personal and professional life, you may be slightly overreaching for your goal.”

- Or, “Hey go getter! Congratulations on exceeding your goal once again! Keep up the hard work and you’ll be setting a new goal before you know it!”

I hope any of this was worth while, and doesn’t sound too critical. I really enjoy the app, and even though it is literally called “Gentler Streak” I would just love to see a more supportive message when I’m feeling like a go getter. There’s so much potential here. And I will definitely keep using and sharing!

Thank you!
Arfie739,
Love this! One Suggestion, Please…
Overall, this app is fantastic. I use it exclusively on my Apple Watch. I have a request, though — and I think this is an opportunity Apple missed: I’d like to be able to cancel or abort a workout.

I’m a homebody, and use Gentler Streak to track my morning household chores. But there are occasions where I’ve failed to stop the tracker. The next thing I know, another half hour has passed and I notice the tracker is still running. In those cases, a simple cancel button— perhaps beneath the “Done” one, and coupled with a “Do you really want to cancel?” prompt — could stop the workout BEFORE it writes to the health data? I would much rather lose the 15 minutes of actual activity than keep a 45 minute instance I knew was false — I’d rather close the ring honestly and not have workouts later in the day affected by the mistake.

Thank you so much!
!JBomb!,
Don’t See the Value
Update: I’ve had this app 4+ months now and still do not see the value. I do not plan to renew my subscription and do not think it is worth the cost.

Things that don’t make sense to me and could use improvement:
- you can only see the last 10 days of your activity path (so you cannot see long term improvements or decline in activity)
- any activity that you do that is not logged as a workout does not affect your activity path
- many (all?) workouts logged through this app seem to count 100% toward your exercise ring (rather than only counting walking that is brisk enough)
- per the previous two points, if I log 90 min. of “Daily Chores” so that my activity for the day is reflected in this app, it counts as 90 min. of exercise in my apple health app
- the wellness tab and the activity path don’t work well together. I’ve had days where the wellness tab tells me to take it easy but the activity path tells me I need to step it up or I’m going to fall off my activity path

Initial Review: I’ve been subscribed for at least a couple of months now. I have yet to see the real value this provides beyond the workout tracking that is available and built into the Apple Watch. I am intrigued to see how the Wellness tab possibly enhances this app. BUG: The sleep info in the wellness tab is incorrect. It seems you are only pulling in the sum of the stages of sleep. For example, my health app says I slept 8h 48m but your app says 6h 34m.
