Finally, we have a game where the sub-genre is crime as opposed to horror or fantasy! Brave Giant, this was a terrific game, and I (as well as others) would love to see more releases such as this one. This game had all the bells and whistles. The graphics were diverse, from gritty back alleys to a beautiful mansion. Collectibles included morphing smoking pipes, hats and floppy disks, as the time frame for this game was the 1980’s. Most of the HO scenes were word lists, and some were thematic. Others were silhouettes. If you didn’t want to play the HO scene, you could play a Monaco pairing game. There was a good variety of puzzles/mini-games, with enough diversity to suit every gamer. The games ranged from rotational types, to labyrinths, from decoding to lock picking. The gameplay was fast-paced and entertaining, and to aid you with your crime analyses, you were provided with a fingerprint kit and a forensics lab. Quality assurance was en pointe, a nice change of pace since all the developers seem to be having technical issues. This game was lengthy inclusive of the bonus adventure. I rarely rate a game with a full 5 stars, but this little gem of a game deserved it! Players, buy, play and enjoy!
