Best game I have ever played.
I have waited until I have beat the game to write a review and I love this game. It is extremely accurate historically and I love the Antarctica base at the end. The only problems are that the AI are all idiots. My allies are always the worst, but all both sides ever do is by infantry. I think that the AI generals should operate their forces according to their actual skill level in WW2. If this could be changed I would love that. I also play the pacific and that is just as good (with same problems). This game is the best of its kind. I’ve played strategy and tactics and love it but even that is not as good as this. I have played other games from easy tech and their not nearly as good so I would not suggest getting those when you have glory of generals. Do not listen to the people who say enemy AI is way to good. All AI only buys infantry. Proof of how dumb enemy AI is. When I played the campaign for Malta as that British general with the long name, I took the island of Crete back after my idiot allies lost, and then took the small island north of Malta in four days and it was completely covered in infantry and all I had was my carrier, battleship and heavy tank. This proves that both AI are terrible strategists and both need improvement

Best game I’ve played yet
This has to be hands down the BEST game I’ve played. This game has real historical battles such as Blitzkrieg, Operation overlord and operation dragoon. Pay attention to the battle map before the game. Always follow that. You have to use real WWII tactics. If your looking for a challenge this is a great game. Many campaigns have taken me multiple tries but once I found the right tactic it filled me with joy to complete it. I’ve also noticed that your decisions also impact the AI’s decisions. For example in operation dragoon, if you send your troops to Nice General VanFleets attacking force will head for Marseilles and Toulon leaving Barcelona as a troop manufacturing city for the Axis but if you send your troops to Marseilles and Toulon General VanFleets attacking force will find its way to Barcelona ultimately stopping the axis powers to counter your invasion from the west. Overall the mechanics are amazing. Every once in a while the AI is just stupid. Other than that I would recommend this game to lots of people. This is the BEST WWII game I’ve ever played.

AWESOME, but I have an idea...
This IS the best tactical game I’ve seen so far. I have a an idea though, this does include pacific war also. What I’m seeing is this “Create” tab with all the others on the main screen. When you press it is shows “Saved” and “New.” When you click new it will send you to a map maker screen which is in hexagons, here is where the light bulb expands... There are multiple tabs for different thing such as maybe DRAW or ADD or even DELETE. These tabs when pressed will do the same thing as you think. Ok Ok, time to get to the point-My idea is that you can create your own map or campaign, like making weird and new islands! For example you could copy off of some real campaign, and then make your own! You can add the description of the campaign, the generals,(Tap a troop and select a general for that troop to play in the campaign, PLEASE BE FREE[you can’t play them though only yourself]) The objective, the enemies, how much money and mechanics things you start with, and finally the name to the cities and what lvl they are. For example, (I’ve said this twice haven’t I?) you could select the ground(which you drew) or land or grass or mountains, and push a factory button, or city button, or oil pump button, or maybe an Air Force Base button? Same thing with the harbors, tap the water and make it a harbor. I feel like I’m forgetting something...

One of the best app games I’ve played
I’m not one to write reviews, but I keep on playing this game over the years, so I thought I owed it to the developers. The only problems that I would find are that it is hard to progress using in-game currency, pretty much impossible unless you spend actual money (which I never have). This brings me to my next small issue with the app, it is too hard to really get past the first few levels. The game is strategy heavy and very fun, but one of the hardest I’ve ever played. I assume it would be much easier if you payed actual money, and I respect this as the developers are just a company after all and they have to make money somehow. Don’t let this make you think that the game is a money grab; it’s not. You are offered a lot of freedom within the app for being an app where you really never have to pay for anything to enjoy it.

Very realistic game
As a WWII buff, I say this game is perfect. You need real tactics to do good, and it is a big challenge! The depth of the game is also amazing! It includes real battles and generals, and even adds some fictional stuff for fun, like the Invasion of North America😂 (never would have worked)and some neutral countries like Portugal 🇵🇹. They really spent their time making this game. I do feel like in the African Front sometimes armies are way to small. I mean, you can’t defeat 190 Italian tanks with 49 British soldiers. And sometimes the computer has brain cells, and sometimes they die. You can’t win battles if Eisenhower runs directly into 80 Germans by himself😂 happens all the time. Other than that, it’s amazing. I hope you make more games like this in the future!

Absolute classic.
I remember when my sibling would play this all the time, it brings back nostalgia. This game really immerses you if you have a good imagination.
It makes me happy to see the developers updating for compatibility, because most older mobile games like this that I have seen have just been scrapped by their company.
Honestly, thank you for preserving these type of games because they truly were a lot back then, and still are amazing now.

German Navy
I really have to say that Glory of Generals is s great game. I just have one problem with it. In Europe 1939, the German Navy is just way to small. You should add at least 3 Submarines, 1 Battleship, and a Cruiser. You also should make Doenitz an option in Europe 1939 so Germany also has a naval commander. These additions would give the Germans a decent chance to show some strength at sea and also balance out Europe 1939. Germany should be given at least 3 battleships for the Europe 1939 scenario. Add some Cruisers and destroyers with it as well.

1) When there is too much of the gear resource, there is no way to trasnfer it into coin which can actually be used. Instead, you have a pile of worthless industry when you could be cranking out infantry.
2) The battle descriptions are cool, until you read some of them and realize how poor in grammar they are.
3) No way to clear saved files except to overwrite them- an absolute mess.
4) When you delete the app, you lose all your data- find a way to back it up.

Almost there...
This is almost a 5 Star game. It’s still very enjoyable, and if they update with fixes it’ll be a great game.
Please update the following:
1. Enemy AI is good. Teammate AI is horrible. I have allies that sit in transport boats on open beach, never moving toward the objectives. Half the time it feels like your allies are working against you or just plain incompetent.
2. The objectives aren’t clear. Vague descriptions leave you guessing about what the objectives actually are. To clarify, every objective seems to be “conquer all cities, factories, and ports” but you’re never told that.
3. It needs a mode where player has full control over entire allied/axis force. That would make this ultimately replayable.
4. Hire someone to edit your English. No offense, but it’s very confusing. I’ll do it myself for free, if you’re interested.
5. Some levels are too difficult, especially with the given allied AI. Maybe a difficulty selection would help.

To challenging and unfair.
When I first played this game I had a lot of metals I upgraded my commander and the first few levels were easy but the AI for the allies are dume and I get a few days to take a lot of land plus I don’t even have enough solders to win and when I do beat a level I barely get any medals and in league mode you should give the axis powers more units because this is what happens the Germans take the Dutch airbase then British ships come and fire at the Germans the Russians help the polish so the Germans maybe take Polzan but that’s it maybe what you can do make a update we’re you unlock every campaign that way people can at least so the other levels.
