Progress but needs more QA
Scheduling has become more difficult. Not easy to view full list of appointments across months or view a calendar month overview only a list. Navigating between months is extremely slow to load and selecting a specific month doesn’t work. Credits and purchase history are inaccurate or not intuitive. Legacy lessons are missing. Practice session data would be a great add.

Great Online Pro Shop & Lesson Review
The most helpful features of this application are as follows. The ability to review your before and after swing from each lesson along with voice notes from your coaches. The one swing adjustment you are making for the week will be corrected by one or two drills demonstrated by GOLFTEC coaches. These drills are available via video clips in each weeks lesson on the app. I can leave my lesson and forget about it until I’m ready to practice and then pull up the video to get myself working on what my coaches have suggested for that week by using this app. They always have the golf balls I use in stock in their Pro Shop. I was shocked at how quickly they shipped my order and how quickly they responded to my emails.

Great add of value to your lesson plan
For me I’m getting a lesson once a week and having the app with all the videos from my lesson plus some tip videos related to what we worked on is huge. I feel like consistency is important so I go to the range a couple days before my next lesson and having the videos and tips to reference let me practice what I learned without worrying about forgetting any topic we worked on. This lets me have the last thing we worked on dialed in before going to my next lesson so we’re not having to revisit old topics and can focus on the next topic.

GolfTec lessons — high tech. GolfTec app — It’s 2022. How can an app be this bad?
I’ll keep it short. Videos don’t load in full-screen. Drag-for-slow-mo (frame by frame) to really watch your swing (or pros) just doesn’t work. Loading errors are frequent. UX needs a refresh. There should be a feature to compare your swing side-side with pro with similar swing all the way through, with the ability to sync up timing and slow-mo features. Desktop and site works better, but it’s still incomplete.
Also, GolfTec… how come I don’t hit into a screen/simulator at an actual facility like your tip videos? What about pressure plates? What about overhead filming? Or face-on filming? What about mats with simulated rough? This may be too much to expect, but please fix your app.

Best it’s ever been
I have been using the GOLFTEC versions of their apps for as long as they’ve had them. They have not all been good and some of them pretty bad. I have run into some functional update issues but overall this experience is the best it’s ever been. I love the ease of getting into see my past lessons and now the schedule tool is pretty good (although my location is always so busy I usually have to talk to my coach to schedule anything other than my regular times). Very good experience this time around!!

Just updated the app on my iPad all you get is the log in screen but it doesn’t allow for entry of log-in details. iPhone works but if I can’t view on iPad it makes it a worthless app. Based on the previous reviews, it looks like GOLFTEC needs to find a new developer. I pay more for lessons with them based on being able to view them. A non-functioning app means that the cost becomes too much.

For being a company about technology and data, your app is very clunky and has a lot of little glitches. While attempting to look at “deals”, the screen continually shuttered until I left that screen. Also after using up my allotment of practices, it then tells me that I don’t have a membership. Why not just add a “you have ___ practices remaining until ___”.
Unrelated to the app, it seems very silly that my $100 referral bonus cannot be utilized in the store and can only be used for more practices or lessons. If I wanted more, I would’ve bought the unlimited membership.

Instruction and improvement
Kevin, my coach at Orland Park continues to make beneficial changes to my game. I have a much better understanding of what I need to do to improve. He also took me thru Club fittings and the result has been increased distance and better feel. I continue to be impressed with his skill and understanding of the game and his ability to make suggestions for improvement.

SO SO MUCH BETTER!
This app is light years better than the old version. Much more intuitive and easy to navigate. The game tracking feature has a lot of potential.
The one suggestion I have: If I need to book a lesson and a practice time back to back, it would be so much more efficient to be able to do that at the same time.

Capture your improvement!
Decided to take up golf at 50 yrs old—wasn’t sure what lessons to take, where to go, or who to learn from but that all changed with Golf Tec! The app is easy to use, captures your lessons and more importantly your progress and gives you access to all of golf tec! Highly recommend this team and this app.
