Didn’t know how much I needed this!
Wow, what an incredible app for those of us who are trying to be more aware of what ingredients are in our products, especially those that we think are clean but really are not! I’ve always heard that fragrance isn’t that great of an ingredient but I didn’t realize how bad it is for our skin until using this app and seeing how many products I use that are bad for my skin, mainly because of all the fragrances! I love how if I can’t find a product in the database I can email the Good Face Team and they will add it. I emailed them a list of 14 products I own that were not in their database and they were able to add all of them within a day or 2! I am very impressed with both the app and the service team. The only downside I have found is that there is currently not a way to organize your “favorites” or products into various folders. They all go into one unorganized folder. I would love it if I could organize my products by makeup, skincare, and also by products that are bad for my skin that I want to discontinue using (like a “dislike” folder). Other than this I highly recommend this app! It has been very educational for me :)

I worked in the beauty industry for a while and I’m constantly trying to find sites/apps that give science-based reviews on the ingredients in skincare products. This app is BY FAR the best one I’ve found. It’s super easy to use AND my favorite part is that it lays out every ingredient in the product and tells you what it does and why it’s usually good or bad for your skin, as well at CITING SOURCES FOR THAT INFORMATION which is extremely important for me. I’d love to see more products on the app (which I’m sure will come with time) but they have a super easy process to request to add products as well as a way to request samples which is something I’ve never seen on an app like this. I also think it’d be great to add an option to comment on other people’s posts cause I’ve seen a lot of people asking for help/opinions on their skincare routine and (as far as I’ve been able to find) there’s no way to reply to their posts. Overall, I’m a HUGE fan and I can’t wait to see how this continues to improve in the future :)

Favorite skincare and product app!
This is the best app for full transparency of all your skincare and beauty products. There is so much false marketing out there that even a sophisticated shopper gets easily misled by all the buzzwords. Most products these day say something to the effect of clean, green, free but that’s not truly the case! This app gives you full transparency of what is in products. Only thanks to this app have I been able to slowly switch out all my beauty products - many of which I had previously thought were clean! When you look up a product, it gives you a simple score of the product, but also gives you a very in-depth analysis of why it’s harmful. The best part is that it also gives you a recommendation of an alternative cleaner product. I don’t put anything on my body before first consulting this app.

I’ve been wanting to switch to cleaner products for years but got overwhelming trying to simply remember which products to avoid. This app makes buying new products so much easier!! I use it every time I buy a new product, whether it’s haircuts, skincare, or makeup. I love that it tells you exactly why a product might be bad/irritating, so you can decide which products you’re okay with and which you want to avoid. I also really appreciate that the app cites the scientific article the information comes from, so I know it’s reputable. I love that it gives me cleaner suggestions for nearly every product I look up. The only drawback is that sometimes I can’t find lesser-known brands, but I’ve seen more brands show up just over the past few months that I’ve had the app.

It’s really invaluable to find a service like this. I had products that I was using that I was SO SURE were clean and good for my skin, and it turned out they had so many chemicals and carcinogens in them! This app has saved my skin and greatly increased my knowledge regarding my skincare products. I use a LOT OF SKINCARE; and skin is semipermeable and leaving me vulnerable to all sorts of chemicals that I both didn’t understand and didn’t know how they were harmful. This app will tell you what ingredients in your skincare or beauty products might be harmful. Then IT TELLS YOU THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS THEY MAY CAUSE. Not only that but so much more, reviews, product tests, and intro to the newest and cleanest products on the market today.

An app that actually helps
I discovered Good Face Beauty app while at my dermatologist’s office. It is such a helpful app when wanting to learn more about new products or even ones your currently using. I’ve received two products to review via their Good Face Experts panel. Their product review panel guidelines are pretty simple and cost you nothing unless you don’t complete the study which is something I absolutely love. It cost companies a lot of money to send products out for clients to review and when your being compensated for said product you should uphold your part of the deal. I’ve really loved using the app and being apart of the Good Face Expert panel. If your wanting to stick more to a chemical free, environmental friendly, animal free, and less lifestyle this is a great app for you to have.

I love this app!!! I never know what to buy for my face. I don’t use a ton of makeup and I’m not always on the up and up on what to use on your face. I have spent tons of money on products that have been nice but not necessarily good for my particular face. I’m getting older now and I want to stay as young as I can for as long as I can. The products that have been recommended for me that I have purchased through the good face project have been awesome! My skin is looking better than ever. The customization of this app has allowed me to find products that fit into my routine and skin type. It also takes into account my age, lifestyle and upkeep routine! This is hands down the best skincare and all-around beauty product app I have ever come across! It shows the best skincare advice according to your areas daily weather, provides a community of like-minded beauty enthusiasts opinions and reviews, gives clean-skincare alternatives to your already in-use products, lists ingredients and their uses+toxins and what they do to harm the environment and provides possible samples of new products that may make the all the difference between finicky to perfect skin and so much more. Amazing app for conscious consumers.
I’ve been using the EWG app for a few years and when I found Goodface it was super easy to implement into selecting personal care and beauty products! It’s really important that what I put on my body doesn’t cause any harm, and it’s also important that the products I use reflect my values regarding veganism and animal testing. This app has made it so easy to not only find products that I use/intend to use, but I love love LOVE that they offer cleaner alternatives to products with lesser ratings. Thank you, Goodface team! Only complaint I have is that the app doesn’t always work perfectly for me. I am unable to click the link to request a brand/product be added. That said, I still would highly recommend this app!

I came across this app on Instagram and thought I would give it a try. It is very interesting compared to others due to the ability that they have to match you with products. I also love that the focus is on clean beauty as this is becoming more and more important to me.
I was recently sent products to sample in exchange for review. I must say it is one of the best app collaborations I’ve ever been part of! It was very straightforward, fair and I was sent some extremely scrumptious products that I didn’t even know existed!
