jesse_ohio,
Nice, clean alternative to Ricoh’s, but no Select All
This app is a much nicer alternative to the official Ricoh GR image sync app. It features a clean design, seems stable and connects reliably to my GR II. The local storage download and drag and drop support for iOS 11 are great.

The one big missing feature, for me, is a Select All option when choosing images to download. It’s just a simple grid of photos that you have to check one at a time. Either a Select All button or the ability to drag the grid to quickly select multiple images or ranges of images would be extremely useful. Unless I’m somehow missing it in the interface somewhere....

I understand that it’s not fast to download large numbers of photos via the camera’s slow WiFi connection, but we really need the option. Even if I only had a dozen pics on my GR, why should I have to tap 12 times to select all of them? Sadly this defeats the purpose of this app’s promise of convenient WiFi downloading. Until this feature comes I’ll just stick with the lightning SD adapter.
mikepadua,
Works well with one exception
Works well, if you’re looking for a streamlined WiFi experience and you love your GR, this is your app. One problem I’m having is when browsing a connected camera, the thumbnail view is completely blank. If I click on one of the invisible photos in the thumbnail view, it will bring up a photo and I can browse them one by one that way.
FetchoJazz,
For Ricoh GR ii the app Ricoh should have made
I have Ricoh GR ii and iPhone 7. I’ve been struggling with the official Image Sync since the day I got the camera. Hard to connect, stops downloading if your phone screen turns off or if you switch to another app. Overall, Ricoh’s app is laughable and I don’t think they care or will fix it.

I read the negative reviews for this app plus the 9.99 price kept me away but just got it today and it IMMEDIATELY WORKED. Used NFC to tap and connect with my iPhone. Can browse pics on the camera smoothly. Can do remote shooting. Done!

If you have a GR ii I recommend this app.
jasonjwwilliams,
Works better than Ricoh's! Great iOS 11 Support.
Thank you so much to the author for restoring the ability to save RAW images to the Camera Roll. It makes it so easy to bring a bunch of images into Lightroom Mobile. Especially until Lightroom adds support for the iOS 11 Files app. It’s great that the author already added iOS 11 Files support!

Unlike Ricoh's app this one just works. Finds your camera and downloads the JPGs and and RAWs you want directly to the camera roll.

I was skeptical but it's worth the $10. (Painful we have to pay $ since the Ricoh app is so bad.)

It would be nice if the downloads used the background tasks feature in iOS so you can background the app while the downloads complete.
Green Willow,
2 Devices instead of Family Sharing
Purchased your GR2 on my iPad. Tried to download to my iPhone as well since it is on same Apple account but instead wants to charge me again. How do I get it to install without charging me again? Your app says up to 6 members.
Johnnyfountain,
Pictures are clean and sharp
I really like the functionality of this app. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be Lightroom compatible either but I found that it works really well. Images are clean, sharp, and I have no complaints in the first couple hours that I have continually used it.
Hashranknadir,
Worked Twice and Then Didn’t
After a couple successful photo transfers, every time I try to connect to the Camera via WiFi, I get an error stating “Failed to Reload Photos.” Turning the camera and phone off and on again does nothing to fix this. This is particularly frustrating as I can still use the app to remotely control the camera over WiFi, just not transfer photos.
Vinnie D #23,
Having trouble downloading
I like this viewer mostly; but sometimes not downloading to my camera roll, though it shows that it is downloading. Already wasted 2 hrs trying to download pics.
SX225SFC,
Works with the GR III
It was frustrating to get my GR3 only to discover that it didn’t work with the existing Ricoh app. I was hesitant about spending $10 but this app works perfectly with the iPhone X and was well worth the cost!
asaselle,
Scan issues
After the update i am not able to connect to the app anymore. The scan just doesn’t show up
