Finding the perfect colors for your gradients is hard, that's why I built Gradient - Background Design.
Hi, I'm Ed! A solo developer & designer based in Barcelona, Spain. As part of my work as a designer, I've always found it tricky to come up with the best possible colors to make beautiful gradients.
I figured that iterating fast is the key to finding matching colors, so Gradient Background Design lets you do just that. You will find two color picker inside the app and all you need to do to create a gradient is to use your finger and move them around to update the color selected by each color picker.
The app will respond to your tiniest movement to let you accurately select the color you need and you will see the output in real time. Pretty cool isn't it?
Once you have a gradient that looks nice, just lift your fingers and hit the save button to add this gradient to your gallery.
The app also allows you to:
- Generate gradient by selecting colors using smart swipe gestures
- Extract colors from images to generate beautiful gradients
- Copy Hex codes to your clipboard so you can reuse them anywhere else
- Update each color using RGB value
- Update the direction of the gradient (TopLeftBottomRight, TopLeft, BottomRightTopLeft ...)
- Preview your creation in full screen and export your gradient directly to your Instagram Stories
- Save gradients to your own gallery for later use.
- Export your gradients with or without legend (direction & hex codes can be added to the export).
- Share gradients with your friend, colleague, designer or to yourself via Airdrop.
- Explore a collection of thousands of gradients created by tons of users across the globe

You can know export gradient directly from your favorite images. Simply upload images from your library and the app's algorithm will extract the most import colors from your image. You can then use these colors to create the gradient of your choice.

You will now have the ability to fine-tune your color selection using RGB values & a saturation scale.
At the bottom of each color picker, you will notice a new slider, this is the saturation scale. Slide it to update the entire color picker view.
If you're almost happy with one of you color but would like to fine-tune it, simply tap on the 'Tap to edit' button to open the RBG screen.
There you will be able to select the exact amount of Red Green and Blue you want and you will also be able to end Hexadecimal color codes to update your color choice.
Once you are ready, simply hit save and the gradient will update itself based on your updated color.
If you are not super inspired and struggling to find good colors, try the 'Random color' button. It might save your day. :D
Repeat as needed and create amazing Gradients.

I use gradients in lots of my work and coming up with them can sometimes be really difficult. Especially if I have to share them with others...this app makes it so easy to create beautiful gradients! Great job Eduoard!

The app seems awesome, but it either needs to be free or one time payment. Pay monthly / yearly is ridiculous for such a simple application. Ads are obnoxious, throws me around when I’m trying to just test the app out to see if I even want to give any money.
EDIT: Joke of an app, you can’t even export a gradient on the free version and you have to pay monthly or yearly. Lol No thanks. Do not download.

It doesn’t let you even have more than tree colors. You shouldn’t have to pay to get a watermark removed, it also shouldn’t be in the whole background.

This app is pathetic, it’s a “free” app, to do nothing with... the entire gradient is watermarked and you have to pay $2.99/year to even use the app... junk like this needs to be removed from the App Store as a “free” app. It’s NOT free.
