arakinjerboa,
Solid app, appreciate updates
I bought this app because I saw the creator improves it in response to feedback.

Overall it’s an effective tool for improving vocabulary. I have several years of Attic/Classical Greek under my belt and find this app helpful for filling in words that I need to read the NT but which I didn’t need to learn when reading stuff like Thucydides.

The thing that would make the app 100% perfect for me would be the ability to flip the languages around so that you first see the English word and then test yourself on knowing the Greek translation. This would be helpful for improving my ability to think in and more truly know Greek. As it is, you can kinda do this by looking away from the screen, scrolling up to reveal the English, and then back down to confirm your answer, but I would appreciate a built-in option.
Sensei Cam,
New Update Fixed All Problems
I was not sure about getting this app, especially with some of the other reviews, but I noticed those reviews were before this last update. I have been using the app a lot and as of right now I absolutely love it, I will try to come back and do a full review after I go through every section.

If you understand how to pronounce the Greek alphabet this app will be amazing for you! (It would be great to have a flash card section for letters, diphthongs , etc)

Again, the amount of work that has been put into this app is phenomenal. This will be such a blessing to my family as I teach them Greek. Thanks guys!

Pre-Seminarian Review
I’m at a college right now (Martin Luther College) that prepares me for Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. I am on the pre-sem track (pastor) and I really struggle in Greek. Hebrew I’m not so bad at but Greek, oh boy. I lose all my knowledge, it seems, over the summer so this app is fantastic. I review Koine Greek, not classical or modern. And I really appreciate that. It gives me more confidence when I decide to pick up my Greek New Testament and read. So thank you for this app, it’s really helpful for my future ministry.

Great app for learning and reviewing vocab
This is a great app for learning and reviewing vocab. If there I have any initial feedback, I would like to see unique pictures for the vocabulary that don’t currently have any. The same picture with the guy having the three question marks above his head for hundreds of words is not helpful. Having unique pictures for the rest of the vocabulary would definitely put this app at five stars.

Also, it would be great if there was an option to learn a group of words based the frequency of use, regardless of the part of speech. For example, learn most frequently used words 1-20, then 21-40, and so on, regardless of the part of speech.
Badapp12323,
Hmm?
So as it turns out, this app literally does no-thing. By that I mean a picture opens and that is it, three offset in the upper left hand corner buttons, no cards, no testing, no thing. Zero, zilch, nada. Never bought a picture sold as an app for $6.00 before.

Update: the problem is that the start button is hidden and needs to be scrolled to. This would be ok except that only about 40% of the screen real estate is being used so scrolling to a hidden button should be unnecessary, and there is of course no intuitive need to try and scroll for the very same reason. Clearly if there was more to see, it would be visible in all that white space.

Nice idea, poor execution of the viewport.
Former Paramedic,
Very Helpful
Freshening up my Greek after 25 years post seminary I stumbled on this app for vocabulary. Initially I wasn’t sure it would be worth the cost but it clearly is. The developer did a great job of having audio and visual tools which aid in memorization. It is intuitive and easy to use, and is rather accurate.

I easily recommend this for the new Koine Greek student or the experienced translator that could benefit from refreshing their vocabulary.
AppReviewer-101,
Great app
This is a good app for vocabulary review and testing. It works best on the iPhone. On the tablet it is a little difficult getting it started, because the action boxes don't fully appear. I think they will probably try to fix that soon. I didn't realize at first that I could see the word definitions by sliding the picture up to reveal it. I'm very happy with this app.

Great App to improve your vocabulary
This is truly I great addition to my tools to learn Biblical Greek, very useful to increase my vocabulary.
Only problem is a very annoying bug, every time I’m using the app in learning mode, after doing my selections when I start going through the deck of vocabulary cards it doesn’t count the cards I already did, the counter is always at 0 never moving.
Calliesma,
Can’t hear pronunciation
Wonderful app… I run an app reader on my phone and I think it is blocking the sound. I can get the sound from my app reader but it’s a little annoying… I wish I could use the reader on this app
Very nice! 777,
Happy with this app
I really enjoy this app. The pictures make the words feel unique and therefore memorable. I love the audio for the words! Having the audio expedites the process of learning the pronunciation. Thank you to the developers for all of your good work!
