Amazing and life changing support
The HabitNu program is wonderful and helped me move roadblocks I have been stuck behind for 2 years! The coach was amazing and positively the only thing that kept me going sometimes. While it also has been helpful the HabitNu app has some issues. The food entry is filled with inaccurate entries that throw off food monitoring. It is not user friendly but I did get the hang of it after a while. I had some technical issues setting up my scale and getting the videos to work with sound but finally figured it out. Thank you for offering this amazing resource. It really is life changing. I had convinced myself the only way I could lose weight is a gastric bypass but I have now lost about 25 pounds. And I have tools to keep going. Excellent!

Habitnu is a lifestyle changing program to prevent diabetes. The core of it's approach is encouragement , tracking and support. The coaching is the best part of the program. In a small group each individual is able to contribute and help support the other members along with the coach and find others struggling and solving the same challenges while changing to a more active lifestyle with better food choices and activity levels. The coach helps each one face the challenges they face and move forward. By recording everything you eat you are not only made more away of portion control but in many cases hidden carbs, calories and fat. There are challenges that make exercise both competitive and personally rewarding. I enjoyed the hikes that show you virtually beautiful views along the way. Since most of traveling has been limited in the last couple years it is a progressive way to see and visit sites along hikes based on miles walked each day.
I truly believe that Habitnu has the support, accountability and information to help almost anyone to reduce weight and avoid or eliminate diabetes.

Poor data base
Perhaps I’m spoiled having used another superior diet tracking app, but I find this tedious to use. I have to put food into the tracker in order to see nutrition info and then delete it. I can’t just easily look up foods as I plan my day. Also, even if I type in a specific food name and brand, it does not filter results. It gives me dozens of possible goods, some of them not even the same kind of food item. I have to waste my time scrolling through to find the specific item I am looking for. The company in other reviews has responded to comments like this by stating how many thousands of food entries the data base has. Many are repetitive though, and again the search mechanism is clunky. If this weren’t paid for by my insurance I would not have used it past one day. I have lost weight but I feel it’s more based on my doing what I already know than on any info in the program. The videos contain only the most basic information and are for someone who has never read an article about healthy eating. My “coach” doesn’t personally connect past the first phone call and an occasional response to a blog post.

Great program/resource/tool!
Being on the heavy side and worrying about your health is not fun. Most people say just “lose weight”, well that is just like telling a smoker to just stop smoking. If you like to lose weight, you will “want” to have to lose weight. HabitNu is a wonderful program that will help you reach your goals but again you will “want” to reach your goal. HabitNu has a great coaching staff, one on one when needed, group topics that help you see you are not alone in your quest, educational video information you watch on your time and a food tracker that helps you see what you are consuming. You can get a scale and health tracker that connects to the app to help see your progress. Just remember, HabitNu is not an app you swallow and you lose weight, it is an app you learn and it will help you learn about the right foods and portions to eat. Bottom line, it helped me help myself lose 15 pounds so far, still have a long way to go but the app is here to help.

Habit Forming
The HabitNu app is good for what it does; tracking food, health stats and exercise. However, manual entry of food needs some improvement, especially some way to edit and update descriptions and nutritional information. Once entered, there doesn’t appear to be any way to update things like the calories, fat, sugar content, etc. One just needs to make a new entry. Note that the original entry can also not be deleted.
The app combined with the coach is what makes this all work. Coach Chic did a great job of working with the group and the individual too. The real benefit is people can make permanent changes to their life by developing healthy habits. The information and videos provided the knowledge and recommendations to help facilitate the changes. If one is honest when using the app, they can achieve their goals.

Please accept my review with my experiences with the HabitNu Health Program.

Using the resources available through this program, I have lost 16 pounds in 10 weeks. I am happily astounded at these results. I am now slightly below my ambitious target weight, feel better, and am learning to maintain at this approximate weight. The program consists of videos, discussions, and a health section, among others, led by a Health Coach.

A Coach forms your Team. My Coach, Coach Kaitlin, is an excellent mentor, team leader, and supportive cheering section. Her discussion points elicit thoughtful dialogue. Coach Kaitlin is also a problem solver in that she resolved an insurance matter in my favor. I have thanked her before and will now, thank her again. Thank you, Coach Kaitlin!

Videos are timely, on-target, and progress to the next higher level well; they practice humor in good spots and relate well to real life. The food diary section is essential, easy to use, and informative. The health section is also easy to use in tracking activities, especially after using the linked scale and FitBit; I earned my FitBit Inspire HR by following the program requirements.

I highly recommend this program to all persons interested in a better and healthier life.

Great program and app
Having used the program and app for 13 weeks now I have lost 23 pounds. The app makes it so easy to track both you activities as well as your meals. The coaches in the program are what puts them over the top in my opinion. Always encouraging and are there for each of the participants to help with what can be an overwhelming task to have a healthier lifestyle.

The ability to scan barcodes when entering meals is fantastic. Quick and easy. The ability to create a custom dish works great but will require you to gather all of the nutritional data manually (don’t worry it’s saved for the next time you make the dish). I do wish I could edit the list of previously entered food for quick access.

Latest version fixed an issue with syncing the Withings scale and the Fitbit data so that there is no manual entering of this data. This is huge as it’s something you don’t need to worry about as long as you step on the scale and wear your Fitbit.

I highly recommend the program paired with this app.

Life changing support
I love this program and app. It made it so easy to track my weight, exercise, and food. It gives excellent short videos full of information and a live coach to encourage and support you through the first phase of the program.
My coach was awesome! She was a great leader giving weekly incentives and messages to keep you moving in the right direction.
The other people in the program were able to talk and support each other.
I have lost about 20lbs total with this program, in the last 8 to 9 weeks—through the holiday system. :)
Highly recommended to every, but especially those I love and know.

The WHOLE toolbox
I’ve lost almost 10 percent of my weight and am optimistic that I’ll be able to maintain my new healthy eating habits. The app/program provides a convenient way to track what you’ve eaten and how many steps you’ve taken (Fitbit). Then you can climb on the program supplied scale and see your weight. The opportunity for quick feedback is so helpful. Weight going down? Your coach will cheer you on. Weight not moving in desired direction? Coach and short, informative videos will provide strategies. Interaction with peer group is very useful too but you only need share what you feel comfortable sharing.

Thankful for the Program
I am very thankful for the Habitnu program including the app and staff. Having access to the total resources has been a positive life changing experience. Properly using the app allows me to be accountable for my progress by visualizing my successes and shortfalls. I am able to make necessary adjustments as needed to maintain or realign my strategy.

Throughout the process, I am receiving consistent support through new knowledge via effective videos, encouragement via support staff, and self-evaluation via daily blogs. I highly recommend this program for anyone who is truly ready to learn and maintain new healthy habits.
