Description

Handy Guitar Lab for G6 is an app that enables wireless control of the ZOOM G6.
If a BTA-1(sold separately) for ZOOM products is connected to a G6, an iPhone/iPad with this app can be used as a remote controller for the G6.

Handy Guitar Lab for G6 can be used at a distance from the G6. For example, it can be used to create and edit your guitar tones, manage your patch memory list, or change settings on the device from wherever you are most comfortable. It’s like having a second screen for your G6 in the palm of your hand.

Features
・Simple intuitive user interface just like the G6
・Create and edit your guitar tones using all the on-board effects
・Adjust individual parameters of all your effects and amps.
・Wirelessly import IRs from the internet
・Manage banks and patch memories
・Adjust G6 System Settings
・Supports iOS/iPadOS VoiceOver to provide accessibility for the visually impaired

Paracelsusx,
Love this app
Really helps me out tweaking my patches. I put my phone on a tripod and set it to hands reach. Be sure to turn off the display turning off in your settings since that will mess it up. I like how I can operate the g6 from both my phone and the pedal board at the same time. Also this app allows you to import ir’s from your phone instead of the sd card which can be handy.
OldPatch,
Great app but needs improvement
I’ve been testing it for a week. It’s great to have in front of me on my phone, the same menu options that are on the screen of the G6 on the floor. However there is a couple of issues that need to be fixed. First one is the sensitivity of the knobs that adjust the parameters of the effects. In my IPhone 11 it’s impossible to adjust bpm, msec, or any other parameter with the right precision. The values change too fast with just a minor movement of my finger. That is specially problematic with the time parameter of the delay effect, where the most useful options are cramped in the last 5% of the whole parameter range.
The second issue I encountered is that the app does not allow splitting the screen and that Bluetooth gets disconnected if I switch apps on my tablet. Originally I wanted to have the lyrics of the songs and this app running side by side on my ipad while performing. Unfortunately screen splitting is not allowed. Then I decided to try switching between apps, but every time I switched to another app, the Handy Guitar Lab Bluetooth got disconnected. My solution has been having an iPad running a lyrics app and an iPhone running Handy Guitar Labs both of them in front of me. That’s a bit too much. I hope developers read this note and let me know if I’m doing something wrong or include some improvements in next releases.
