Great A.I.
I.ve played a few and this is one of two Backgammon apps with a fair and balanced A.I. Engine. Wish there was an option to not use avatars.

Overly sensitive controls (Apple TV)
The Apple TV version is overly sensitive. When you try to select a piece it’s very easy to accidentally select one of the menu options.

Keeps crashing!
This is the best looking and user friendly of the backgammon apps I have tried. However, the MAC version I have on my MBPro overheats the machine, and in much the same way, this one crashes constantly.
This needs to be updated! First suggestion, pls make sure that app retains data after crash. At least that way you can continue a game or three game series, etc. without starting over completely. Second, just plain FIX IT.
Frankly, I play anyway. I'd much prefer, however, to stop when I feel like it instead of after the 3rd or 4th frustrating crash.

Disappointing!
The game is one of my favorite games on Xbox, and I specifically looked for this version on the iPhone. Sadly, on the iPhone, the touch screen reactions are terrible, the game lags, and you have to pay for avatars, boards, and pieces. So disappointed; I play this on Xbox all of the time and it is great, their iPhone version leaves much to be desired. Another annoying thing is that you cannot play iTunes and game at the same time!!! :-(

Loving It
I've been playing Hardwood Backgammon since it first came out for PCs. Never had a problem with backgammon or any of the other Hardwood games (Apps)

I really enjoy Hardwood Backgammon's ease of play, music, backgrounds, and board/piece/dice options.

not very good
I've played just one other backgammon app and thought that one was mediocre, but this one is terrible. You have to hit the device so many times to make your moves it's ridiculous. It has a very slow touch response as well, making this app unplayable to me. I deleted immediately.
