Carter 116,
Excellent way to monitor health
I use this once per day to check my rested heart rate. I checked it against the one I wear when working out and they both are right on the mark. I like the reminder to check my HR each day or I'd probably forget. The comparison of my results to people in history and other countries is interesting. I recommend this app to anybody that has decided to take a more active approach to monitoring their health. I should also mention that I have checked two other heart rate monitors that use the same technology. HeartChecker is the only one that is even close to being accurate.

Scared straight user
I really like this app. It’s a tool I can use as often as I want in a day to keep tabs on my heart rate. I downloaded the app one night when I felt my heart running away with itself. The reading and additional information and estimates scared me enough to make some needed changes in my life. That night I also downloaded two other apps that were not user friendly. My mother started using this app a few weeks before me and highly recommends it. She has CHF and is working hard to control it. Thank you for being my constant companion on my journey back to good health!

attractive
I like the look of the interface. Simple, modern, attractive, not trying to sell you something every three seconds. My one complaint is that the app seems to occasionally default to opening on a page that's blank except for the menu hamburger (those ubiquitous three lines). It means I have to click through to a menu instead of putting my finger right on the lens to measure my pulse. When trying to measure my heart rate during a workout or when I'm half asleep, this extra step is very irkspme.

Amazing
I really love it! I have tried a couple of apps over and over again and decided to give this one a try. In all the other ones that I have used you have to hold your finger over the camera in the right position for the duration of the time they tell you for. In this app there is no certain way that you have to hold your finger and it does not take really long. I decided to experiment a bit and even found that it can pick up a pulse from your hand and it is accurate.

Handy, quick, easy, accurate
HeartChecker is handy, available whenever you’re carrying your phone, which for many of us, is pretty much always. Readings are quick, about 15 seconds, just hit start and put finger gently over camera lens (or use face function). Accuracy is impressive. I was recently in the hospital for heart surgery and have had several follow-ups with surgeon and HeartCheckerlogist. Readings from HeartChecker consistently track hospital and doctor readings pretty much perfectly, even when heart is somewhat irregular.

heart issues
I just found this app,but so far I can find nothing wrong with it and everything right. Last year , had an episode of heart failure or if the blue. Scariest thing ever. I've been monitoring my blood pressure and heart rate and what I'm doing at the time so I can show the cardiologist. I've never had heart issues and they don't know why it got me like that,so it's alla lot keep track of. How easy to have all the info at my fingertips!! I can show my Dr at my next visit. Glad I found it.
Ouroboros857,
I have an arrythmia.
Some apps don't know what to do with pauses between beats and quit. Most apps only remember the heart's rate; this one's better. I can run it as long as I want and it saves a chart of the heart's beats for that time. I also like the profiles; I give myself a new one each month; that makes reviewing easier. An improvement idea: it would be nice if the user could make a short note (up to 10 words) with each use. The activity icons are nice, but a note would enhance the record.
Winslow Tansy,
Great App
App appears to be accurate most of the time. Great for keeping track of progress. I have anxiety so I like to check while coming down from an anxiety attack so I know where I am. It's too bad their isn't another option other than rest and active. Technically while having anxiety you wouldn't want to categorize as rest but you also couldn't categorize as active. It would be nice if there was another category so my checks during anxiety won't be grouped toward the average for resting heart rate.
Zanella635,
Best! Ive used many...
I suffer from mental and physical health issues. When my anxiety shoots up, I have to do breathing exercises, and I have to monitor my heart rate. So I know what, and when things are happ. This app really is incredible that works immidiate, and you can print/Share out your own cardiograph!!! That is huge for me I mean huge! You can go back to different dates, whatever you want to do if you're looking for something to monitor your heart rate I absolutely recommend this!
Aiden Johnston,
This app is fast, easy, and reliable
I have been using HeartChecker almost daily since the afternoon a few years ago when my son put it on my iPhone because I was worried about what was going on with my heart. It says it’s not to be used for medical purposes, but, when my doctor and I checked it’s accuracy with his own device, we got the same result on both. In his words, “It’s surprisingly accurate.” I highly recommend the HeartChecker app.
