When you sit down for your official exam, Pocket Prep’s goal is that you feel confident and prepared. Part of being prepared is knowing what to expect. With that in mind, we have developed a ‘mock exam’ experience for a selection of our exams.
Our Mock Exam study mode is designed to mimic the test day experience. Like all of our exam content, the Mock Exam questions and explanations are created by subject matter experts and closely follow the actual exam outline in terms of subject weighting. This release officially removes the ‘beta’ tag from that functionality.

Ensure to buy the premium edition for more practice tests!
Love this app! I’ll be taking my HESI next month on December 11th. This app along with the Elsevier Edition 4 has been a great help. I’ll check back to tell you all my score.
Edit: I PASSED! 8 points higher then what was required! Vocabulary, Math, & Grammar was on point. So was reading. A&P was okay for the actual test! I managed to make an 80 on that section. Of course it’s not what I wanted, but I passed. The biology in the app was nothing like the actual exam being that was my lowest scoring section (70) 😩. Overall the app was useful and I managed to get a good score, I wish it would’ve had a better biology section though.

Good App (paired with the Elsevier book)
So, I only needed to take the Reading, Math, Biology, and Chemistry portions of the HESI exam. This app in conjunction with the HESI prep book by Elsevier really helped me a lot. I ended up getting a 94.5 cumulative score. 100 on the Biology, 92 on the Chemistry, 96 on the math, and 90 on the reading.
That being said do not expect to see the questions on this app on the exam. The exam tests your critical thinking so, the app combined with the book gives you all the basic knowledge you need but, you need to apply that knowledge on the test. It is also important to note that if you took bio and chem (or whatever courses match with the exam sections you are taking) and then you study with the prep book and app, you should be fine. But, be warned the chemistry section was very random and the prep was only slightly helpful. I highly recommend going over the periodic table properties thoroughly. I knew the biology so well because I just took Microbio prior to the test and had a huge biology review in the course. The prep and app are GREAT for the math and reading though.

DO NOT BUY THIS APP
The app is functional but not effective. The anatomy and physiology portion is NOTHING like what is on the HESI. I took my HESI today and thank god I retained my anatomy 1 and 2 classes because this app did not help at all. The questions are not formed at all like they are on the real test and the information is much more specific than what is on the app. The Vocab. and reading comp. portions were helpful but you can find the exact same information for free on a quizlet. One category for my HESI wasn’t even on the app. My advice is do not waste your money on this and if you do, don’t use this as your only study source. I used several different sources and managed to score a 92 cumulative on my HESI but this app did not help me. Also, the app begins to crash heavily after a lot of data is stored in it. After I hit the 500 question mark the app became very very slow.

Good on the go !
Used this app to help me prep for my HESI exam for Nursing. I was really having a hard time with anatomy because the test would pull really random questions for just 30 questions on our exam. This app helped to cover most of the different anatomy questions. Any questions I really had trouble with I just screenshot and memorized. Another suggestion: screen shot any questions you really had trouble with or had no idea what it was. Overall the app was easy to use and helped me gauge which subject I had trouble with which was anatomy and Math. English and Vocab was also on my test and this app helped since the physical prep book a friend gave me was pretty outdated and like 60% reliable when it came to Anatomy and Math...

Helped me crush the HESI
The program I’m applying to only requires the math, reading, grammar, and vocabulary sections of the HESI. I used the Elsevier book to review (hadn’t had a math class since...let’s just say it’s been a long time) and purchased this app to practice. I went all in and bought the Cadillac version with tons of questions and don’t regret it for a second. Between the book and this app I scored a 99% cumulative on my HESI.
Pocket Prep has been my constant companion since I registered to take my exam a few months ago and I’m a little sad to delete it from my phone, but I owe it a debt of gratitude. That’ll do, app. That’ll do.

Don’t even question if you need this—- you need this
I really loved using this app to review for the HESI 2A. I focused on just answering these questions and looking at the answer explanations they provide then supplementing my reading with my own old text books or online searches. I was able to get a cumulative score of 92.4% after studying for about a month and a half (while working and taking classes).
The app was really helpful because If I wanted to really sit down I could use the platform on the computer or if I was commuting I used it on my phone.
Love it so much that I am using their TEAS reviewer as well currently.

Passed my HESI A2 with a perfect score!
I don’t typically write reviews, but I have to say I am extremely impressed with the app. I only had to take the math and English composite parts of the HESI A2, but with that being said I was able to score 100 on all sections. This is a wonderful way to review for the HESI A2. I bought the lifetime access because it really isn’t expensive when you consider that buying a physical book would cost nearly the same. I like using the iPhone app, but I will say I found myself using the computer version more (it’s included!). I highly recommend this app to all future nurses!

Can be great!
I don’t usually write reviews but this is the first time I actually paid for an app, so I had to! I like how the material is presented and it’s definitely easy to use. Explanations are concise and very helpful. But unfortunately, the app itself is problematic. It crashes constantly and doesn’t load your progress properly. I ended up using the website on my desktop for the most part, which defeats the purpose of getting the app on my phone in the first place. Material wise it seems very good (will update once I take my exam on Thursday), but the app itself needs work. UPDATE: I got an 87 on the overall exam. Vocab, grammar, reading comprehension and math are spot on. But Biology and A&P are NOTHING like the questions on the app so be aware.

It got me by!
Overall, I love this app. This was my only way of studying (along with a few other resources online) since I scheduled my exam too early before I could order a book to study by. I passed math with a B (the main thing I was worried about), and I feel that it was the most on point with the actual HESI exam. However, the A&P I made a 72 on and the passing requirement is a 75. However, I do know that most colleges only require a 70, so if you’re in my position you will most likely pass! Once again, I love this app. I do wish the A&P was a detailed as the exam though. Will definitely keep using it until my second exam day.

Disappointed
I bought the app and used it to prepare for the Hesi along with the Elsevier practice book. I felt so confident going into the test as I studied quite a bit and was getting in the 90s consistently in the bio and chem areas(I aced the other required areas and passed bio the first time in the high 80s). Took the test again this morning and did the science sections first. The practice questions for bio were in no way an indication of what would be on the test. I missed it by 3 points. Chem was slightly better; I passed, but did not do as well as expected. If the company that makes pocketprep also develops the exams, I don’t understand how there is such a discrepancy in what is covered. There were questions in both sections that were in no way touched upon. Super disappointed.
