Hi, How Are You is a 3D platformer based on the art and music of the late Daniel Johnston, and starring his well-known character, Jerimiah the Innocent. Jerimiah has been transformed into a frog by an evil force and must reverse the curse to rescue the love of his life. Help him regain his true form by outrunning, outsmarting, and outmaneuvering his enemies through increasingly tough obstacles in a bizarre, otherworldly universe. It's not enough just to find the exit — Jerimiah has to hop on every green square in the stage to open the way forward, and each labyrinthine level contains special bonus squares as well. With 40 different stages and 4 different forms, you've got your work cut out for you!

I had just finished making myself a Jeremiah the Innocent t-shirt with a sharpy marker when a friend told me that this game had just been released. I couldn't believe it, and downloaded it right away. Tears welled up right away as the start up screen played "True love will find you in the end". The mini cinematic at the start of the game radiated the same sincerity that Daniel Johnston himself does. I loved it right away!
Lovingly crafted in the sunny utopia of (where else) Austin TX, this game is a lot of fun but best of all the artwork is right out of the sketchbook of Daniel Johnston and of course it has the best sound track of any video game ever made. Just buy it!!!

Delve into the artwork (mind) of Austin Tx Artist Daniel Johnston!
Since I have lived in Austin for many years, I have definitely been aware of Daniel Johnston's art/music... his 'Hi, How are you' mural has helped define the city any its 'Keep Austin Weird' motto. I figured that this app would be a way to view/hear Johnston's works... but then it turned out to be something so mch more. Blending art with this game was pure genius... you get a chance to step into Johnston's bizarre world. And the graphics and gameplay are spot on... smooth and gorgeous. I would first recommend this to any of Johnston's fans and any Austinites... but I would also recommend it to anyone that simply wanted a truly unique gameplay experience that works on several levels. Add even more levels now!!!

Awesome Game!
Hi, How are you. Let me start by saying I am a musician / songwriter myself. My music falls into the ‘indie’ category, but more like Sigur Ros or Takagi Masakatsu. I am also a big fan of bands like Pavement and Flaming Lips which is a little closer to Daniel Johnstons vibe. This cat has some VERY cool riffs and hooks. There are a lot of people who may not like this type of sound, more than likely the Nickelback fan. That’s O.K. though, not everyone likes to go deeper into music, just give the radio / surface to those and their happy.
Sorry, I am rambling a bit.
As for the game, it’s a pretty cool little game. It reminds me of a 3D Qbert. To be honest, I expected more of a platformer than a color-the-blocks type of game. That aside, the game is still very well done as far as graphics, gameplay, sound, and music.
It is very original and enjoyable. I wanted so bad to honestly be able to give it 5 stars, but the fact that it was more of a Qbert type of cover the ground instead of a more thoughtful platformer, I have to give it 4. Everything else about it is wonderful, however.

I hardly give reviews for apps. I only do if I absolutely love the app, or just flat out hate it. In this case, it's absolute love!
There are definitely no complaints about this app! The stunning 3D graphics are only one on a kind. You will never see another app (besides all your other ones) that has the same out-of-this-world graphics put in place.
And the story! It's amazing (and tragic)! So far, at the time of this review, I have just reached the third form of Jeremih (sorry if I spelled the name wrong). All the levels are equally balanced with a perfect amount of difficulty added with each level.
If I had one complaint, it would be about a song. The one song where he is talking about running(?) and weather in the chorus. The person singing sounds like he has a hoarse throat. I would say this would be the only change needed to be made.
Once again, congratulations on your success with this game. I look forward to more updates!

Inspirational and unique!
Hi, How Are You is a 3D platformer that builds on a simple concept - move your character through the maze-like levels, light up all the panels, and find the exit before time runs out. What makes this game truly stand out is the flawless integration - or rather, embodiment - of the music, artwork, and ideas of American indie musician/artist Daniel Johnston. It's as if Johnston's mind was concretized into an iPhone game. His work lends a very commendable art style to the app, making it a real visual and aural treat! A MUST BUY. It's on sale now, don't wait to get it!
