Packard Bell Video Doorbell looks great but using this app... NOT SO MUCH!
I’m writing this to plead with the creator of this app. It won’t let my wife and me operate the camera, basically allow both of us to stay signed in, at the same time! My wife works at home and I’m out working so we should both be able to see what’s going on without bumping each other out when signing in.
Also, it is a relatively expensive monthly video storage fee! Which, btw, if one DOES NOT pay then this video doorbell is rendered absolutely useless! So at the very least 2 users should be allowed in. If this isn’t fix shortly I will be cancelling the service and tossing the camera in the garbage!

I bought this camera at Target for about $30 so I thought it was cheap enough to give it a shot. After getting home and not being able to make the camera connect to my wireless network I looked at some reviews on the App Store. I was having all of the problems everybody else reported having. After about an hour of trying everything I was finally able to make it connect. You have to make sure that your phone is connected to your regular wireless network and not a 5g connection! Your wireless modem usually has two options to connect to. By default it will always choose your 5g network. You have to go to your settings and choose your wireless network option that does not have the 5g written behind it. After I did that the camera works great and has a very nice picture!

I noticed that it’ll show you a recorded video that’s like, for example, 3 mins long but if you watch the timer in the upper left hand corner, it’s really relooping the first 5 seconds or so so it’s not really a 3 min long recording. At this moment, there has been an update and it has been loading for over 3 days. I can not access my camera at all because it just continues to say “upgrading.” You really get what you pay for with this camera. I would suggest this to be a temporary camera until you can save enough to get a better quality one.

This app desperately needs an update. There are a couple of small glitches that make it difficult to use. For example:

1. The motion detection sensor is stuck on “High”. I can turn it off, but when trying to change it to “Low” or “Medium” it just jumps back to “High” and notifies me of every bug that flies by every 60 seconds.

2. The date and time will not synchronize with the phone. Even when I select my time zone, it just keeps changing back to the default timeline that came with the camera/app.

This app works, since I can see and record on an SD card. One problem is that I can’t stay signed in on more than one device. I use the app on my phone. If I use it on my iPad, I have to sign in. When I use my phone again, I have to sign in again. I don’t like the extra bother. Please fix the app so I can be signed in on multiple devices at the same time. My Wyze cam app stays signed in on all my devices. I will be buying Wyze cams in the future.

It works great, I was able to connect just fine and the picture is good. The only thing I'm having trouble with is my SD card. I have a 64 GB micro SD card in the camera but it keeps saying that there is no SD card inserted. I have followed all instructions and it still won't work. I don't want to pay for a monthly subscription when I don't need to. I'm starting to think that they do this on purpose to force you to buy their subscription.

I tried to register the app three times are used three different email addresses to try to get it to work every time that I tried to login it said email address or user not recognized. I made sure I did everything properly and it just will not recognize my name it sent emails to my email that I put on there but yet it would not recognize me when I tried to login time and time again useless. I wish I could give it -5 stars.

I like the fact that the app is intuitive and the devices that works with the app are broad (camera, doorbell..etc) I would recommend this to family and friends! I caught a person trying to steal my package last night because of HomeConnect!

This product is amazing! Not sure why everyone is having problems?? Just read the instructions! And make sure you are one 2g! The voice mic sounds creepy but when put on two way it works fine. Now I can be at work and monitor my reptiles and make sure my heat lamp is ok! So happy now. And for only 20 bucks!!! Sweet

You will get an alert of motion detection but you will not be able to see anything unless you sign up for the service. I thought I would only have to buy the service if I wanted it recorded. I didn’t know I wouldn’t be able to use the camera at all for notifications unless I pay for a subscription. I’m taking it back & buying something that has a sound & motion alert
The picture is nice though.
