BethR22,
Excellent!
After doing a little research about the different blogging apps out there, I decided to go with iBlogger even though it was the most expensive one. Mostly, because it's one of an extremely limited number that actually support MovableType. But also, I really liked the features it had and have been a long-time user of ecto. I had a little trouble setting up my MT account on it and got an immediate response to my email to help me with it. Once I got everything set up, I posted a few test blogs and it's worked really well! The only thing it's missing is the function to send a tweet when a new posting is up, but I hear that might be in the works for a future update.
MontanaAbe,
Illuminex strikes again!!
As usual, illuminex solves some problems we were just getting used to. I may even blog myself now ...
Core_,
Does not work as advertised
Writing an application that supports multiple blogging accounts is probably not an easy task. All APIs are slightly different, not to mention the underlying system: MovableType uses CGI, Wordpress PHP and so on.

However, if you are advertising that your application works out of the box, it should actually do that. But it does not.

I have multiple blog accounts, but only one using MovableType. Using Web access, it works like a charm. iBlogger connects to my blog, but it won't let me publish anything. The error line is cryptic to the non-programmer/average user, and even if you're looking it up with Google and try figuring out what's wrong, you won't come far.

MovableType has one help page with a related error (failed access through third party apps), but the described procedure does not work. The only change is, it does not throw up an error message, it simply leads iBlogger to time out.

All in all it's disappointing, even with all the nice features this application has. Since MovableType does not seem to create an iPhone app, I was hoping this was going to be the missing application I had been waiting for.
dmetzcher,
Excellent Mobile Blogging Software
This app is exactly what I've needed for over a year now. I have a Drupal blog, and mobile publishing always involved email. If I wanted to add an image to a post, forget it...I had to email it to Flickr and have Flickr post it to my blog. And either way, I was unable to select the category I wanted to use for the post (only one default category can be used).

This software impressed me by grabbing all my categories and existing blog posts on my site, to start. Then it made adding a new entry so simple that I was shocked. Many other blog engines are supported as well, but I can say, with certainty, that it shines with Drupal and was well worth every penny.

I'd like to see Tumblr blogs supported in the future, so that I can delete the other (free) app that I use for Tumblr and free up some space on my iPhone's springboard.
Kwoodward21,
It is worth it to me
I have been a little picky when it comes to blogging tools. The main reason is because I have a blog which is Drupal driven - everything that I use must be compatible. I tried BlogPress but I could not get it to work with my site when it came to adding categories. iBlogger linked in the first time and I was able to pick and choose the categories that I wanted. I was also able to upload photos to my blog from my iPhone. Yes, I know the issue with cropping a picture, however, it does do as advertised. Worth it in my book. Would like to see video upload capability and a way of posting the same material to a Facebook wall.
BonacciJ,
Great Application
I had originally written and stated that this application was so horrible that I wanted my money back. I am now making a full retraction on that statement. The folks at illumineX were great. They read my review, personally contacted me and helped me in getting my site up and running with iBlogger. I am not sure how much more you could ask of a developer.

I am now using this tool every day. I think, for blogging software, this is a little pricey. That said, for the functionality it gives you, it's well worth the money. I am looking forward to future versions of this software.
dschmunis,
Not working with iOS 4.0 +
I recently decided to start writing on my blog once again. Being that I'm constantly on the move and not always carrying my laptop, I decided to use this app as I also use ECTO which is their client based app for writing and managing blog post. One MAJOR problem, it doesn't work with iOS 4.0 +. When I went to their website looking for tech support... it NOT excitant! I feel completely ripped off and with no recourse!

If you are still running 3.1 + then it works fine, but if you are planning on upgrading or are using iPhone 4 don't waist your money.

As a solution, I downloaded the FREE WordPress app (only works with WordPress) and although not as pretty and feature-reach, it does the basics: I can write/edit/post all from my phone. If I need to do extra twitches to my post, I just do them when I get back on my laptop!
Toronto647,
This is THE best blogging app yet!
And believe me, I've tried every single one of them that supports wordpress. Let's see...I've typed a long blog after taking some photos of the fall colors around town here, only to have the program respond witih 'login/password err', or some other problem that eventually loses everything I've typed. This program has made it realistic for me to blog wherever I am, and not worry about it messing up. It's really hard to do blog entries at home, because I'm hardly there! So now, this application has been everything I expected and needed. Thanks, guys!
Barb1686,
Worthless - Doesn't Work
I downloaded this because I wanted to keep my family updated with my labor/birth at the hospital since there is no internet there. I wanted to be able to add text and photos. This application is worthless to me now...I'm glad I only paid 99 cents and not $10 like some of you have.

I played around with this a bit tonight immediately after downloading (for my Blogger account) and found that no keypad comes up except in Edit mode (where the HTML is), and there is no button at the bottom to post pictures like there's suppose to be. Also, my latest posts are not listed and they are public. I'm missing probably 10 posts total. I don't really need to edit now, but I more than likely will need to in the future.

Big let down. Hope this issue is fixed soon.
Tekhed_3,
God Send....
I'm a ridiculous critic about everything. Let me tell you...this is absolutely "A1". I use blogspot and when I logged in using my iPhone, everything was laid out exactly the way it is on the website. This makes it super easy to post and manage your blogs on the go. I'll be in Army OCS (not exactly liberal on time or computer access) for 13 weeks, and this program adds so much value to my iPhone. Being able to have my most important apps from my laptop on my iPhone makes a world of difference.

Thanks for making a great app.
