ZackarySilva,
Good App with Potential Improvements
As a new IEEE member, I feel there’s a lot to love about the app. However, I think the online reader should be implemented a bit more “elegantly” across the board. For example, some magazines are easy to read with the ability to scroll left and right while others require up and down scrolling. Consistency would aid the ease of use and general utility of the app.

Additionally, some of the UI interaction is tedious. For example, adding interests is tough when you can’t read the whole interest name. I may just be picky at this point but just a note!

Current IEEE President
Hello, my name is Alex Quilty, I am currently the IEEE CH4 Calumet Region president, and I am learning how to use your app. I really love the idea of the app because it helps students and others learn what their membership allows them to do, and what kind of tools and information are available out there as well as being able to see your membership # at a quick glance is super useful.

However, this app needs serious improvements. Some parts of the app are downright unusable, for example the Privacy Settings does not even properly appear on my iPhone SE2 w/ iOS 15.4. Some parts of the app are just broken, or very odd at times. As much as it pains me to say this, the app needs a lot of work. I look forward to this being a better tool though for students in the future.
Kranger-and-heman,
Good app but navigation needs improvement
Done button at the bottom needs serious improvement. This review itself within the app is showing up as white text. So clearly some style sheet issue or basic navigation need fixing. Love the content, however needs a better UI, search and fundamental back and done type navigation. Needs to work properly on iPhone 12 or newer phones in general.

Decent App
Online reading across magazines is not consistent. Decent navigation for Spectrum and strictly PDF for Software. Needs the ability to save your place when reading abs exiting the app. It’s very frustrating to have to remember where you were and navigate there each time.
DigitalOz,
Poor user interface
I use it on the iPad and the user interface is in need of a lot of improvement. For starters, magazines get out of focus, I had an extra white bar appear on right side of magazine that I couldn’t get rid of, sometimes zooming on a page blocks out text on right side, just taping the screen(usually by accident adjusting my hold on the iPad) causes it to zoom out. All of this is bad enough, but for me the worst thing is that it doesn’t support horizontal reading. It really just needs a whole rework.

UI needs a complete rewrite
It works, but the UI is frustrating. It’s not flexible enough for a phone, but it doesn’t support tablets in any meaningful way. Only magazines show up for content also which are usually just hype articles, and hardly any nitty gritty useful articles.
pjdom,
Pile of junk
For the leading professional body one would expect more. I could not get it to function correctly no matter what. Tried login apparently I miss typed the password, but it would never let me try to login again, wouldn’t even give the login prompt again, just told me options weren’t available. This on top of the orientation being locked. Really expect better than this.
Brokendude789,
Not useful for magazine reading
Magazine interface Is terrible. No working links, cannot copy, if I want more info about a topic in an article, I have to exit and search for it. The hard copy magazines are better. Needs serious improvements.

Does not meet expectations
The downloaded pdfs don’t have navigation features and if you try read content online you get 404 errors.

I would have thought there would be a way to peruse the table of contents of publications and easily read articles of interest but not seeing it.
SailinShoes,
Terrible magazine interface
Everything about the magazine interface is terrible and while having a digital copy of a magazine is usually more convenient due to added features, in this case the print version would be far superior. It’s glitchy, slow, you can’t highlight or clip, external links don’t work, and it’s unintuitive.
