Description

iFarkle is an addictive and entertaining 1 or 2 player version of the dice game Farkle (or Farkel) for the iPhone and iPod touch. Play with a friend or against the computer to be the first to achieve more than 10,000 points by rolling the dice for an exciting number of different scoring combinations.

Two-player mode includes the option of automatically flipping the screen between turns for players sitting across from each other at a table, on the floor, in the car, or on a plane.

iFarkle is simple to learn, and fun to play.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COMPUTER DOES NOT "CHEAT"

The dice rolling mechanism is the same for both human and computer players: It is completely random.

If you are finding that the computer is always beating the pants off of you then you may want to either reduce the Computer's Play Style aggressiveness to "Meek" or simply take some chances and play more aggressively yourself. :)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q : Why doesn't the Pass button seem to be working?
A : Each player must score at least 500 points during a single turn to get into the game. Once this has been achieved any points accumulated during subsequent turns are added to the player's total score.

Q : How do you play iFarkle?
A : The rules can be found by touching the "About" button on the bottom-right corner of the game screen.

A beautiful version of the beloved classic game
I’ve played a lot of different game apps and this is hands-down THE best game you can get on the App Store. This game just doesn’t get old. It’s fun even after I play it over and over, the replay value is great. I don’t know what some of these reviewers are saying about the computer being unfair or cheating, because I’ve won more games than I’ve lost, by far. Quite simply, you can’t go wrong by getting this game.

No lives
I like this game because you can play as many times as you like and whenever you want. No lives is the key !

Fluctuates in quality
I’ve enjoyed the game as an almost thoughtless time consumer that helps while waiting. But it is tiresome to do it when I’m losing the majority of the time. When the opponent can make over 5,000 on five rolls in one turn during 25% of the games it ceases to be fun. Especially when I may be a couple of points ahead, have to close the game, and come back to find a new game - mine didn’t save. Two items that remove the pleasure of winning games. Oh, following a couple of updates, those problems disappeared! Great!! But soon reappeared with another update. Consistency?

iFarkle needs a random number generator
This app does not have fair dice rolls. Over time the computer gets more favorable outcomes. This occurs in the frequency of high scoring rolls and in the frequency of filling all six dice.

The result is higher scores and fewer Farkles for the computer. If you play the game often, you should expect to lose a lot.

The programming is not very sophisticated when the computer chooses which dice to keep. Often there are high scores rolled that are not recognized. Also when the computer has accumulated lots of points (3000) it will continue to roll and put those points at risk instead of cashing in and passing the dice.

Probability doesn’t fit realty
Good game but the computer does have some programmed advantage at times. I assume this is to help it along but it results in some truly whacky combos. I came here to comment after the computer played 3 games in a row with score runs over 3000 to win. The odds of each individual game ranged 1/216 to 1/300 and the odds of it happening 3 games in a row was something close to 1/10,000,000. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it happens to often for me to believe it’s chance.

I’ve played this game for about 9 years without many issues, but now it has become very buggy. I’ve reset my tablet a couple of times, and now I’m about to reinstall the game for the second time in two weeks. That meant I lost all data/statistics to date. Grrrrr!
I primarily play on an iPad Air, which has had all iOS updates, and updates to the game are done automatically. It appears to be working okay on my iPhone 7.
yesmuseum,
The real deal !
We play with dice and paper a lot. This is perfect when I’ve got nobody to play against, or even to compete against my wife when dice aren’t available. Set your speed and limits, then you can’t stop!

It has a glitch
Game plays well until annoying random game music plays in the background. I finally deleted the app and later reuploaded it. Hopefully it doesn’t come back

Playing computer
Having loads of fun, win some.. lose some..It doesn’t feel like it’s rigged in favor of the computer. It’s pretty fair.

Time killer
The simplicity of this app is fantastic. But man, the huge points the computer gets over and over again is tiresome. It’s a simple game that I’m not going to be overly sensitive about losing to, but when the computer is beating out by thousands of points 75% or the time is unattractive. It’s great at killing time but about to delete because of lack of randomness on rolls.
