abnormalus,
Works well, but
Installation, configuration and usage is super straightforward. However the only thing missing is an option to use higher quality levels than 1920x1080. I know the camera on the newer phones is able to take 4K footage if only at a slow fps
KamikahXO,
Only one issue.
I sat down for hours trying to figure out the best way to set up my iPhone and iPad as wireless cameras for a twitch stream. I had heard of a couple of $5 apps, and was willing to pay to make this work. I found that every app I had come across was difficult. You had to install software on the computer, and it was really unreliable.. crashing, showing blank video, or locking up completely. Getting the stream set up each time would require loading up multiple programs, and resetting my scene. (Each of these apps only allowed one device)

I almost didn't jump in on this app because it was paid only. They should offer a free stamped/low quality version to try out.. but that's not the issue I had with it. This app is browser based, and because each device is given a link based off its IP, you can have multiple websites. You have a decent amount of settings you can play with for video feed quality, and once you set up your scene for the first time, all you have to do is launch the app on the devices and they automatically pulled up on the stream. Fantastic.

My issue: There is no way to lock or set orientation to landscape. If you tilt the phone sideways it will go to landscape, but if you try to set the phone flat, or even remotely close to flat, it will pop back to portrait. And there's nothing on the phone itself that shows whether it's portrait or landscape. I had to open the website and watch. I'm trying to do an overhead shot of a table, and this may not work for it if I can't figure this out or dev doesn't fix this issue. Maybe I can portrait lock it and see if I can manually turn the video feed in twitch 90 degrees.. that's another day I suppose.

Thanks for a great app.
Jebediah Joe,
Excellent tool!
Does not require any additional software on the browser. Flexible enough for any stream capture client. Exactly what I was looking for.
Homerll,
Avoid
No user support anywhere to be found. App requires you to download another app for forum support that does not exist. Apple how can you all thisPOS?
Ffhjjfsth,
Does what it says
And does it well. It is a 5 star app in the making, with one flaw holding it back. I would like the app to be able to run in the background, at least when the device is locked. Right now you have to set auto lock to never or else it will stop streaming when my iPod (4g) locks. If you don't mind leaving your screen on (you can darken it) then this is the app for you.

It's very simple, needed no setup. I downloaded the app, punched in the I.P. It showed after launching it into my browser, and I was able to view the video in real time on my computer.

Edit: changed from 3 to 5 stars, not running while locked isn't too huge a problem. You can tap the preview to darken it. Still, it would be nice to work when locked.

Also, some new features would be nice. For instance, for using it as a security camera if it could flash the image red or something when there's a lot of movement (pixels changing) it would be nice so it would draw your attention to it.

Updates would easily make this a 5 star app!
sjamesmm,
Only 15 FPS!
It only goes up to 15 FPS!
Harrisonw,
Not a true functional ipcam waste of money.
After spending more than enough time with this.... Here's what I found out...

Here is the short of it: "to view iPhone "ipcamera" outside of the network.... You have to have a computer running iCamSource on the same network. That takes signal and allows you to view via iCamSource. You can't just turn on ipcamera and view from down the street.... And at this point they don't plan on taking the time.... To do what they make you think this thing is going to do. I found iCamSource very usefull for my computer lab and laptop. This app is not. It's clear the positive reviews are friends of the developers. As you will see reviews after this hopefully.... will tell the true nature of this app... Totally lame..... Here's info that I came across.

ipCam allows your camera enabled iPad to function like a network IP camera. """"NOT""""" ipCam therefore needs to be connected to a computer running iCamSource ..

The functionality of iCamSource built into ipCam has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future. Unfortunately, we do not have any immediate plans to develop that feature.

Uhhhhhhh develope this feature???? I bought this ... Because you do not make it clear you need a laptop or computer running to view outside the network to use with your own product iCamSource.... Stupid.... What a joke.
Go4x4ing,
Awesome
This app is just awesome. I have been looking for something like this for a long time now and was not disappointed when I used it. It does exactly what it says. Get it and be amazed. I would put it up there in the app store essentials category.

Some suggested update features would be: the ability to control the video size and quality from the computer on which it is being viewed, and an emergency app close button. The emergency button could be used of you are trying to be sneaky with the camera but someone picks up your phone for some reason. The button located on the link to the feed would tell the phone to close ipcam, much like the button for the flash on/off.
Aarontheunoriginal,
Wanted to use as a baby monitor
I thought this app would be an easy to use alternative to a baby monitor. I was looking for something that would work on my wireless network and allow me to watch my baby sleeping by running ipcam on an old iphone 3gs. Affter paying for the product and installing it, I was unable to connect to the ip address of my iphone. I tried both with a browser as well as their icamsource software, but neither worked. I even followed the advice from their online support page, forwarded the apporpriate ports, but still no connection. I am very familiar with my router and have no problems adjusting settings, but nothing I do has any effect on my ability to connect to the ipcam. With this many issues and the required (but unmentioned) router setup, this should be a free app. Don't waste your money.
OnceBeforeIDie,
I Can't Believe I Didn't Read the Reviews First!
What a joke! I always go by the reviews before I buy, and I got my head crossed with another app and made the mistake of buying this one. Don't even think about it! This is junk! Go for IP Cam Pro. Just like it sneaks in the wording, this one has only the flash control from the web interface. But I will say for those of you complaining about getting the 404 bla bla bla error, it's because you need to change the /80 in the address bar back to a :80 when you try to reload the page. Because of the developer's reported lack of interest yet the app is still up for sale for idiots like me to buy, the developer is on my personal black list. They can write all the top-notch apps they want from here on out, and I won't buy a thing from SKJM, LLC.
