Description

This tool allows to examine fundamental characteristics, performing analysis both in steady-state and in transient state conditions, of a three phase induction motor.
In this version has added the capability to examine the behaviour of an induction motor in an open loop control.
In particular to perform the transient analysis, a complex Runge Kutta solver has been implemented. The implemented mathematical solver is suitable for solving the mathematical model [5th order differential equation system] of a 3 phase asynchronous motor. In order to optimize a mobile device resources some simplifying assumptions have been made on the electrical machine mathematical model.

In this version have been removed several bugs and new iPhones and iPads support has been added, performances improvements have been made.
In the transient analysis panel has been added the swipe in the left and right direction on X axis when the X/Y axes settings is performed. This feature is very useful when detailed transient simulation analysis is performed on entire simulation duration.

In this version, several new features have been added:
•When the app runs for the first time, a synthesized voice explains the main features and how familiarize with this induction motors simulation tool. During the audio listening, it is possible to set directly the listening position of the welcome synthesized voice by acting on the appropriate slider;
•An integrated editor has been added, it manages the induction motors data sets, allowing data insertion, modification and cancellation. The number of saved induction motors data sets depends only by the used iOS device memory, all data are stored and managed by a database engine;
•In transient analysis has been added the possibility to run a simulation in continuous mode, the simulator behaves like a laboratory oscilloscope, and it is possible to compare actual numerical values with the ones to rated motor operating conditions;
•Full iPad support has been added, in particular in this version the PIP (Picture In Picture) function is present, allowing to show two than graph simultaneously in the same graph window;
•Induction motor open loop Volt-Hertz control simulation has been added;

The simulator user interface has been improved, now is more intuitive and easier to use.

Respect to the previous version, 2.0 build 2941, some bugs have been fixed. The graphical user interface has been improved in order to facilitate the use of the app. Capture image feature has been added, in the second and third tab, respectively named “Steady State” and “Transient analysis”. This functionality consists in saving a graph in the camera roll of your IOS device. Another added feature is that when the app runs for the first time, pressing the 'Execute' button automatically a default Induction Motor is added.
